Wolf Princess vs. Ice Queen
The hallway was dark, only two people in it, one of which who shouldn't have been there at all.
"Hey! State your business!" The ANBU wearing a dog mask exclaimed.
"Nothing personal, but I'm going to have to knock you out now." The other man replied. "Hm... You seem to be about the same size as me."
"Excuse me?" The ANBU asked.
"Oh, ignore me," He replied. "Stay still, that'll make this easier."
Four red tails wrapped around the man, two binding his arms to his chest, one binding his legs together, and the other reeled back, slamming into his forehead and knocking him out. His body slumped to the floor and the red tentacles scooped him up.
He took the man's mask, slipping it onto his face, and then began stripping him of his uniform.
"Now... Where to hide the body?" He hummed, stomach rumbling. "Maybe a snack wouldn't hurt..."

"I've always been curious about your abilities..." Kana hummed, eying her opponent warily. "You use seals, I've seen you use a sword, and on one occasion, you used genjutsu."
"Same goes for you, I've seen what you can do, but something tells me that there are more to your abilities than you let on," Azumi replied, reaching for her tanto. "I suppose there is only one way to find out!"
Azumi charged, her blade drawn, Kana also drew her own blades, blocking with one hand and blocking with the other. A look of confusion crossed her face, surely Azumi knew that blades did not affect her, so why was she attacking using one. Azumi stabbed her blade into the ground for a moment, forming hand signs at a rapid rate and then just standing there.
"Was something supposed to happen?" Kana asked in confusion.
"You've got to be shitting me!" Azumi groaned. "Genjutsu has no effect?"
Kana's mouth formed an 'O' as she realized what had happened.
"Guess not!" Kana chirped, her hands blurring together. "Summoning jutsu!"
Two large clouds of smoke appeared, to snarling wolves stepping out of the clouds. The crowd gasped, many cheering in excitement. Azumi groaned again, pulling a scroll from her belt.
"Sealing tags will have to do..." She mumbled.
Azumi charged, unfurled scroll in one hand and sword in the other.
"Restrain her." Kana ordered her summons.
Gray and Yuki howled, running towards Azumi to intercept. Gray pounced, Azumi sliding under him to avoid his clutches, Yuki then chased after her, steadily gaining on the girl. Azumi stabbed her sword into the ground again, using it as a pole, spinning around, and changing direction. She slid underneath the white wolf's belly, sticking a tag onto her underside. Yuki snarled, about to charge for her when she suddenly collapsed.
"What the hell did you do?!" Kana roared, rushing to Yuki's side.
"Relax, the seal is just designed to make her muscles relax." Azumi said, jumping over the second wolf, who lunged for her.
Kana ran at Azumi, double kodachi drawn. Gray rushed to her side, scooping her onto his back as they ran after Azumi. Kana jumped off his back, blades raised as she descended on her opponent. But a flash blinded her, Azumi set off a flash-bang tag at the last second, allowing her to slip away. What Azumi didn't expect, was Azumi's eyes to recover much faster than a normal human.
Purple tentacles clamped down on her joints, freezing her in place. Azumi blinked away her blindness, staring into the eyes of a predator. She shivered at the gaze Kana gave her, cold, blank, and ready to react in any way she saw fit.
The crowd gasped again, whispers breaking out.
"What kind of genin does Ame have?!"
"Has Ame always been this dangerous?"
"Look at her eye..."
Despite how she shivered in fear, Azumi gave her an icy glare, knowing that she had lost at this point. Gray also blinked away his blindness, snarling at the girl who rendered his little sister unable to move.
"Proctor..." Azumi called out, gritting her teeth. "I... Surrender."
Kana dropped her, letting Azumi fall to the ground.
"Winner, Kana of Amegakure!" Genma announced.
There was a surprising amount of applause, many people impressed by the skill of both genin. Azumi made her way over to Yuki, peeling the tag off of her and rubbing her face affectionately.
"You guys can go back now," Kana said. "Thanks for all the help."
"No problem, we'll see you later." Gray said, nudging his sister's side with his snout.
Yuki groaned, slowly rolling over with a whine.
"Sorry, I wasn't much help." Yuki sighed.
"It's fine, now go back home so you can rest up." Kana insisted.
Gray and Yuki nodded, vanishing in a cloud of white smoke.
Azumi brushed herself off, making her way off the field with a dissatisfied huff.
"YEAH!" Hidan screeched. "I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!"
Kakazu screamed something that sounded vaguely like a, 'Oh yeah!'
~~~~~
"Dog, where did you go?" The Hokage asked, warily eying the ANBU who had just returned.
"My apologies, Hokage-sama, an intoxicated man lost his way." The masked man replied, bowing his head slightly.
"Ah, I see," The Hokage nodded. "I presume you took care of it?"
"Yes Hokage-sama, all taken care of." He nodded.
The Hokage turned his attention back to Genma, watching the ANBU from the corner of his eye. This ANBU was not Dog, but he was wearing his mask and uniform. His chakra signature was familiar though, he did remember meeting him once before. He displayed no malicious intent, so the Hokage let him be, certainly there was a reason he was there.
The Kazekage chuckled. "It appears the Uchiha has not arrived yet."
"Seems so," The Hokage hummed, nodding at Genma. "We will give him some time, and then announce if he is disqualified."
"Sasuke Uchiha has ten minutes to arrive!" Genma announced. "After those ten minutes, he will be disqualified!"
"Tsk, tsk," The Kazekage teased. "So late, are all your genin lacking in punctuality Hokage?"
Dog flinched at the man's voice, turning to stare at him through his mask.
"Sasuke is with Kakashi, so maybe he's getting his sense of time from his sensei." The Hokage chuckled, attempting to keep himself from getting angry.
The Kazekage laughed his disturbing laugh, making a low growl resonate from Dog's throat, his hand resting above his pouch of weapons. Obviously, Dog had a bone to pick with the Kazekage.
(A/N: BONE?! GET IT?! I'M HILARIOUS! Ok bye.)
~~~~~
"Where is Sasuke?" Kana asked Naruto, counting down the time in her head.
"No idea," Naruto sighed. "But he better get here fast before he gets disqualified."
"He better hurry," Haku shivered. "That Gaara kid looks like he's getting a little antsy."
Gaara sat with his arms crossed, growling lowly as his siblings tried to comfort him without getting too close to him as if they were scared that he would snap at them. Gaara's obvious displeasure was enough to set everyone on edge. Even people who didn't know Sasuke personally were suddenly praying that he'd show up soon.
Just as the ten minutes were about to run out, he finally appeared, a tall man with silverish gray hair standing right beside them as they appeared in a tornado of leaves.
"Kakashi-sensei, Sasuke!" Naruto exclaimed, getting their attention. "Did you get lost on the way here?"
"Something like that." Kakashi chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "Now then, go get ready for your match Sasuke."
"Talk about cutting it close," Genma sighed. "Gaara of Sunagakure, please come down for your match."
Gaara silently stood up, making his way down to the field in a swirl of sand. Sasuke glared at his opponent, crossing his arms over his chest. Horrific screams from his fangirls filled the air, all of the girls drooling over his new look. Surprisingly, Sakura did not seem all that interested, instead of screaming, she simply cheered for her teammate.
"Are you both ready?" Genma asked.
"I am." Gaara droned.
Sasuke smirked. "Ready."
"Then you may begin!"

Hope you liked the chapter, I'm not completely satisfied with Kana and Azumi's fight, but maybe I'll rewrite it later... But yeah, next chapter is where shit gets real, so enjoy that!
