"Lightning style: lightning bullets!"

Three balls of electricity shot across the room and into Kakazu's mud wall, blasting through it. Kana had been training hard, and so far, she'd managed to get fairly good at water style, earth style, and lightning style, though above all she was best in taijutsu.

"Kana!" Deidara chirped, sliding into the room. "Leader-sama wants to see you!"

"I'll head right there!" Kana called back, turning to Kakazu. "Should I come back later?"

"Yeah, I think Zabuza is going to watch you and Haku spar." Kakazu replied gruffly.

"Then I'll head there and be back as soon as I can." Kana grinned.

"Let's go!" Deidara chirped, looping his arm around hers.

"Alright, alright I'm coming!" Kana chuckled.

"You needed me?" Kana asked, standing before Pein's desk.

"Yes, I have something I need you to do," Pein replied. "But first, I should explain."

"Explain what?" Kana asked.

"You and Haku will be leaving for the chunin exams in about a weeks time, the only problem is, that teams must have three members." Pein hummed. "I have found the final member for your team, a genin from this village named Azumi Rokusho, and you will be meeting her at the tea shop that you and Hidan often go to."

"Alright, what does she look like?" Kana asked.

"Blue hair, blue eyes, fair skin, around your height." Pein replied. "Can't miss her."

"So should I head there now?" Kana asked.

"Yes, I'm sure she's there by now." Pein nodded. "But one more thing, Tsubaki will be the one taking the three of you to Konoha."

"The purple haired lady?" Kana asked, tapping her cheek in thought.

"That's her." Pein confirmed.

"Good to know, I'll get going now." Kana said. "And if you see Hidan, tell him that my fridge is empty."

"I'll let him know." Pein nodded.

"Thanks!" Kana chirped running out of the office.

Pein shook his head, forcing back a smile.

"Summoning jutsu!"

A fluffy cloud of smoke appeared in front of Kana, and out stepped Gray, who seemed elated.

"I haven't talked to you in a few days, what's up?" Gray asked.

"Well, I've been doing more training, Haku and I are supposed to spar later, and I'm going to go meet up with a girl who is supposed to be our third team member for the chunin exams." Kana shrugged. "It's been busy."

"Wow, well make sure you take time for yourself." Gray replied, concerned.

"I will if I have time."

Gray glared at her and she held her arms up.

"Ok, ok! I'll relax later!"

"Whatever you say," Gray huffed, bumping his shoulder into her playfully. "But in the mean time, I believe you have somewhere to be."

"Oh yeah, I should get going." Kana chuckled. "You can go back now."

"Do you want a ride?" Gray asked, tilting his head.

"It's fine, I should practice my shunshin anyway." Kana replied.

"Alright, I'll head back then." Gray said, nodding. "See you later."

"See you."

Gray vanished, leaving Kana to focus on her jutsu. She formed a sign with her hand and channeled some chakra, focusing on her destination. With the tea house in mind, she vanished in a small cyclone of water.

A girl sat alone at a booth, frowning despite the cheery and warm atmosphere around her. Her icy gaze stayed fixed on the door, waiting for someone to arrive. A small cup of green tea sat in front of her, and she took small sips as she drummed her fingers across the table. Finally she arrived.

The white haired girl walked into the shop, a little wet from the rain, but otherwise looking quite cheerful. Her eyes swept the room until her chocolate brown eyes connected with the icy blue gaze of a stranger.

The girl with short blue hair nodded, geustering to the seat across from her. Gracefully, she slid over to the booth, sliding into the plus seat across from her.

"Hello, Okami-hime," She greeted stifly. "Nice to meet you, my name is Azumi."

"Nice to meet you Azumi," Kana replied, blushing at the title. "But just call me Kana."

"Alright." Azumi nodded.

"So you'll be working with Haku and I for the chunin exams?" Kana asked.

"Yes, in fact I'm meeting him later today." Azumi replied, taking a sip of tea.

"So should we talk about our skills?" Kana nervously asked.

"Sure, I'll go first I guess." Azumi shrugged. "I like using sealing tags and stuff for my work, however I'm also decent with swords and using thrown projectiles. I consider myself a long-range sort of fighter, although mid-range combat is good too. My sword and tags are if I get too close."

"Good to know," Kana chirped. "I can use some earth, lightning, and water jutsu, I'm going to work on the other's soon. I can use my kodachi very well, and I use taijutsu a lot. I'm definitely a close range fighter."

"Last thing to address when we will be meeting up again to leave." Azumi said. "The Chunin Exams in Konoha will begin in two weeks time, and it is a two to three day journey there. I say we leave a week from today."

"That sounds good, is it alright if we leave at about 8 am?" Kana asked.

"That's fine, I'll inform Tsubaki-sensei, and I'll talk to Haku, unless you will inform him yourself." Azumi agreed, folding her hands together.

"I'll tell Haku once I get back." Kana said.

"Wonderful, in that case, we're done here." Azumi smiled, more out of politeness than wanting to.

Kana grinned back brightly. "I'll be going then, it was nice chatting with you Azumi!"

"Yeah, you're more tolerable than some idiots I know." Azumi huffed. "See you around."

"So you've already met our teammate?" Haku asked, stretching in preparation for their spar.

"Yeah, her name's Azumi," Kana replied. "She's nice and easy to get along with, very business-ish. Oh, and she wanted me to tell you that we leave for the exams in a week at 8 am."

"Good to know," Haku said with a nod. "And now that that's out of the way, let's spar."

Still sore from a high speed spar using only taijutsu (arguably his weakest area) Haku headed into a small restaurant, taking a seat across from a girl with dark blue hair and light blue eyes.

"You must be Azumi," Haku greeted politely. "Kana told me about you."

"Yeah, that's me, so you must Haku." Azumi replied, holding out a hand.

Haku took the outstretched hand and gave it a firm shake, smiling softly.

He stared at the tall gates before him, admiring them for a moment before sneaking around the side. He scaled the wall with his chakra, over looking Konohagakure. In his rage, he got there too fast, the exams weren't for another two weeks. While he was there, he figured he would start spying on people.

His nose twitched and he glanced down below. A man and a woman were walking just below, hand in hand. With a shrug he leapt down.

He was rather hungry.
