Konoha
"You really should eat breakfast, Kana," Tsubaki frowned. "We're just a few hours run from Konohagakure, you'll need your strength."
"Fine, I'll eat," Kana huffed. "But not in front of you all."
"That's alright, so long as you eat." Tsubaki shrugged.
Kana took her pack and slipped deeper into the forest, climbing up a tree and hiding in the foliage. She pulled out her scroll and her mouth had begun to water. Her right eye went red and black, her fingers delicately traced the seals pattern as she pumped chakra into it. Limbs popped out of the seal, some arms and legs from various people, cleaned and ready for consumption.
She picked an arms from the pile, biting into it and tearing off flesh. A few droplets of blood dripped onto her hands and face, but at the moment she didn't seem to care. She spat out the fingernails and small bones, putting them to the side.
After she finished with her meal, she sealed the rest of the body parts away again, taking the bones and nails down to the forest floor. Four long purple tentacles slipped out of her back and began digging into the ground, making a hole about four feet deep. She dumped the extra parts into the hole, then covering it up with dirt. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and frowned when it came away red.
"I should probably find a stream or something."

Naruto was on edge, he had been for the past few days. Even after Kakashi gave him his form for the Chunin Exams, he didn't seem all that happy.
Shinobi killed, but it wasn't murder, right? They protected the village, no matter the cost. It was justified killing, not murder.
But the murders in the village were gruesome, it couldn't have been a shinobi who did it, just a murderer.
Talk of the two murders sweapt across Konoha like wildfire. Some said they were freak animal attacks, other say it was a sicko from inside the village. And worst, some people believe it's a spy, a traitor.
Naruto loved Konoha, to think that someone in the village he loved so dearly could be capable of something like that?
It made him sick.
~~~~~
"Would you shut up." He said aloud, it would seem he was talking to no one. "I was not sloppy, I didn't even leave any evidence."
There was no reply, but he continued to speak to himself.
"Whatever, I'm hungry again, and the exams will begin in less than a week." He grumbled. "This time, I'll make sure it's somebody no one will miss, or even notice they are gone."
He grinned to himself and slipped into the darkness of an alley.
~~~~~
"Welcome to Konohagakure, can I please see your identification and reason for coming?" A man with brown hair at the gates of Konoha asked.
"Hand over your identification," Tsubaki said, fishing around in her own pockets. "We're here from Amegakure for the chunin exams, I'm their jonin instructor."
She handed over her own identification and paperwork, which the man with black hair took and inspected.
"All visiting shinobi and kunoichi are staying in the hotel, it's the tall salmon building, can't miss it." The brown haired one said.
"Oh, and a piece of advice for you," The black haired one added. "Don't stay out past sunset."
"Why?" Kana asked.
"Konoha has been dealing with a murderer, one who strikes after dark." He replied.
"Just stay safe." The other sighed.
"We will, thanks for the info." Tsubaki nodded.
The two men handed their papers and identification to them and sent them on their way, into the village.
They passed several food vendors and small shops on their way in, Kana was amazed at all the sights, but she kept her sleeve over her mouth and nose. It was such a bright cheerful place, and everyone seemed to get along. The people also seemed nice, and a bit happier than Ame's people, but maybe that was because they didnt have a tough past. Another thing to notice was that it wasn't raining, so Ame's attire really stuck out.
"Are any other team's from Ame coming?" Haku asked.
"I'm not sure to be honest." Tsubaki shrugged. "Now come on, we have a hotel to get to, after that I don't care what you do, just be back by sunset."
"Okay, Tsubaki-sensei." The genin droned.
~~~~~
A pink haired genin nervously made her way across town to her sensei's apartment, she hadn't seen him in days, not since they ran into Gaara and got recommended for the Chunin Exams. Even then, Naruto wasn't himself.
She arrived at the small apartment and delicately knocked on the door, rocking on her heels as she waited for an answer. The door creaked open and Kakashi peeked out, staring down at his student.
"What is it Sakura?" He asked.
"I'm worried about Naruto, what exactly happened to him?" Sakura asked. "I haven't heard from him in a few days, and he's been really quiet."
"Come inside Sakura," Kakashi sighed. "I think I know what's wrong with Naruto."
Kana and Haku walked side by side down the streets of Konoha, watching as the sun was slowly disappearing.
"We should head back now, Azumi and Tsubaki probably want us back soon." Haku said, glancing at the sun.
"You go on ahead, I'll meet you back at the hotel in half an hour." Kana replied. "Tell Tsubaki-sensei I'll be late."
"Why? Where are you going?" He asked.
"I'm just going to go train for a little bit, shouldn't be long." Kana answered. "I'll be back by dark."
"Alright, be careful, you heard what the gate guards said." Haku sighed.
"I'll be careful, I'm perfectly capable of defending myself." Kana grinned.
"Get going then, Miss Capable." Haku chuckled.
Kana punched his shoulder playfully before walking off in search of an empty training ground. They split and went their separate ways.
The Forest of Death, a good place to hideout during the day, and good for camping. Fresh water, plenty of food sources, and places to hide. But, it was missing one very important food source for someone who was hiding there.
"I'll hunt tomorrow." He hummed to himself. "I'm full, for now."
He relaxed into the bark of a tree, closing his eyes to get some rest. He took deep breaths, through his nose and out through his mouth.
In, out, in, out, in-
His eyes shot open when he caught the faint smell of something. It was strange, but somehow familiar, despite the fact he didn't know what it was. He couldn't seem to discern whether it was a good scent or a bad one.
Slowly, he sat up, cracking a single knuckle.
"Time to investigate I suppose."
I've been a bit busy, so I haven't been on Wattpad much. Lot's of things are happening at school with it being the end of the year and all, plus my family now has five new kittens we are fostering. Link, Zelda, Callie, Echo, and Splat. So yeah, I don't know what updates will look like.
