Ice Mirrors vs. Human Boulder

Choji cracked his knuckles, staring across the field at his opponent.

"I don't like fighting girls," Choji said bashfully. "Don't take any of this personally."

"Then I'm sure you'll be relieved to know that I am a boy," Haku smiled, his eyes shut. "So don't take it easy on me, I won't be holding back."

"Good," Choji grinned. "An equal match sounds good."

In the blink of an eye, Haku threw six senbon, using them as a distraction, dashing around Choji in a wide arc, hoping to get close enough to trap him.

"Partial expansion jutsu!" Choji boomed, his hand and arm expanding to ten times its regular size.

He batted the senbon away with the back of his hand, keeping an eye on Haku, who was running around him and making hand signs.

"Water style: water clone jutsu." Haku whispered, clones of himself forming from water and surrounding Choji.

"Expansion jutsu!" Choji exclaimed, his body ballooning into a giant ball. "Human boulder!"

The real Haku jumped above the boulder, allowing the clones to be crushed and burst into puddles of water. As he jumped above Choji, he threw six more senbon, popping Choji like a balloon. The boy quickly deflated, yelping as he yanked various senbon out of his stomach.

Choji huffed, tossing the bloody senbon to the ground, pausing to think of a strategy. His eyes drifted to the two pouches of weapons at Haku's waist.

"Partial expansion jutsu!" Choji exclaimed, reaching for his weapon pouches.

Haku responded with more senbon, turning Choji's enlarged hand into something that resembled a porcupine.

"Ow!" Choji yelped. "How many of those needles do you have?"

"Plenty!" Haku chirped cheerfully. "Though, even if you did get these senbon from me, I could still make more."

"What?" Choji gaped.

Haku grinned, making a one-handed sign. "Thousand flying water needles of death!"

From the puddles that were created by his clones, hundreds of needles made of ice rose into the air before slicing through the air at Choji.

"Earth style: Mud wall!"

A wall of mud rose between them, blocking some of senbon, but not before many of them had already gotten his arms and legs. Haku huffed, staring at the feeble wall of earth in distaste. He walked towards the wall of mud, peeking around it, expecting to find Choji. Instead, he found a hole in the ground, making him tense. He ran for the stone wall of the arena, hoping to reach something stone before Choji appeared out of nowhere and caught him by surprise.

The ground rumbled beneath him and Haku quickly made a few hand signs for one of the most basic, but useful jutsu. Choji's upper body broke through the earth, grabbing onto Haku's ankles and crushing them, however, instead of hearing a 'crack' when his ankles broke, he splintered into wood. Choji pulled himself out of the ground, pulling a kunai from his pouch to defend himself when Haku reappeared.

Meanwhile, Haku ran up the wall, getting as much of an advantage as he could. Preparing for his jutsu, he formed the hand signs rapidly, charging at Choji with such speed that he had little time to react.

"Demonic mirroring ice crystals!"

Choji was encased in a dome of ice, making many people in the audience gasp. Choji rammed his kunai into a wall, grunting when the blade bounced off without even scratching the surface.

"Nice try," Haku said, his voice reverbing from everywhere inside the dome. "But my mirrors only break if I want them to, try all you want."

And try he did.

"Partial expansion jutsu!" Choji's fist ballooned in size as he pulled back for a punch, but he only succeded in bruising his knuckles.

"Told you~!" Haku sang.

Haku's smiling face appeared in a mirror before him and Choji punched it, only injuring himself further. Haku giggled behind him but had vanished by the time Choji turned.

"It's no use," Haku said. "To me, you appear much slower than you actually are, I can jump from mirror to mirror before you even hit me. In fact, I can attack you from multiple places at once while I'm inside the mirrors."

To further prove his point he hurled senbon from five different angles, impaling Choji with more senbon. Choji bit his lip until it bled to stop himself from screaming out, knowing it would not help him any.

"Surrender."

"I won't," Choji replied. "I'll fight until the end."

"So be it." Haku sighed, sounding slightly saddened by his decision.

Haku flashed from mirror to mirror, watching as Choji deflected what little senbon he could with a kunai. This went on for at least five minutes, making Haku mildly impressed.

"Plenty of people would've passed out by now," Haku hummed. "Impressive, but I won't lose to you."

Choji, too tired to reply, just glared at Haku's image, fighting off the blurriness in his vision. Haku sighed before continuing his assault, firing senbon until the boy finally went down, passing out from exhaustion and blood loss. Haku's mirrors shattered at his will, revealing to the audience who the victor was.

"Winner, Haku Yuki of Amegakure!" Genma announced.

Many applauded, especially noblemen, clearly interested in doing business with Amegakure in the future.

Medic-nin rushed out with a stretcher for Choji, gently lifting him onto the stretcher so he could be taken away to be treated for his wounds. Haku brushed bits of dirt off his clothes, making his way back to the combatants stand with a smile.

"Way to go!" Kana chirped.

"Too bad your stupid mirrors are opaque." Azumi huffed. "No one could see what you actually did."

Haku chuckled. "Sorry, I promise you didn't miss anything too interesting though."

Genma coughed into his fist to get the attention of the genin and the rowdy crowd, he had a job to do after all.

"Could the next two fighters, Kana and Azumi of Amegakure, please make their way down to the field?" He asked.

Kana shot a smirk at Azumi, watching as the other girl stood up with a huff.

"You're going down." Azumi smirked.

"Whatever you say." Kana replied, rolling her eyes.

"Well, whoever wins, make it interesting!" Haku giggled.

"I'll take her out in a flashy way!" Kana chirped back.

Azumi rolled her eyes, jabbing her elbow into her teammate's side. "I guess we'll have to let your skills do the talking."

Kana nodded, making her way down to the field, Azumi following right behind her. Once on the field, they stood across from each other, both dropping their carefree looks for a serious one.

"KICK HER ASS KANA!" Hidan cheered from his place.

"KICK HER ASS!" Kakazu agreed, most likely ready to bet money on Kana's victory.

"Are you both ready?" Genma asked, shifting the senbon in his mouth to the other side.

"Yup!" Kana chirped.

"I am ready." Azumi nodded.

"Then you may begin!"
