A/N

In case you didn't know, the plot for Naruto is very, very, very complicated. Things don't always fit in and I will be doing things how I seem fit. Okay? This is fanfiction, after all, it may not be accurate. So please don't complain if you see that a member is there or not there when they should or shouldn't be. Thank you.

An explosion roused the girl from her nap, causing her to stand up in a panic. Outside, she heard many sets of footsteps and copious amounts of screaming. She brought her hands to her ears and pressed down hard, anxiety and panic striking her heart. However, just as quickly as it came, it was all gone, until only two voices remained.

"Yoohoo!"

She flinched at the foreign voice, masking her confusion.

"Yoohoo?" She mumbled.

The door suddenly flew off its hinges and she ducked as it sailed over her head, bent in half.

A head of blond hair poked through the doorway with a huge grin, once his eyes landed on the girl he frowned.

"Sasori, un!" He called. "It's just a kid."

Red hair poked through the door, sharing the same bored look.

"What do we do with it?" The redhead asked.

"I don't know!" The blond screeched.

Said child, stared at the two in awe. They were so different, and their smells were like nothing she'd ever smelled before. They smelled like things she couldn't even describe, but she could pick out the smell of wood.

"Who are you?" She asked, making the two men jump.

The blond looked to his partner, who shrugged.

"My name's Deidara, this is my partner, Sasori." He said, pointing his companion, who nodded once.

"What's a partner?" The girl replied, tilting her head, bangs filled with blood framing her face.

"Nevermind, what's your name kid?" Deidara asked.

"Don't have one of those." She frowned. "I'm just me."

Deidara looked to Sasori with pleading eyes, begging like a puppy while glancing at the little girl.

"No," Sasori decided. "We are not taking her with us."

"Pretty please?" Deidara begged, whining. "We can make her into the most powerful kunoichi ever!"

"Fine," Sasori sighed. "But if leader-sama gets mad I'm blaming you."

Deidara squatted down to the girls level and patted her head, not minding the blood that was obviously fresh.

"I'll gladly take the blame!" Deidara smiled. "Did you not notice the blood in her hair? She's already a killer!"

Sasori sighed and shook his head, taking note of the empty base that now had sunlight bleeding in from above.

"Orochimaru has obviously escaped already, so lets hurry and get out of here," Sasori grunted. "Leader-sama won't be pleased if we manage to lead Orochimaru right to us."

"Un, let's go kid." Deidara said, reaching out a hand to the small girl.

She stood up and raised her arms, rattling the chains connected to her wrists. "Can't."

Sasori scoffed and approached the girl, taking one of her small hands in his and inspecting the cuffs.

"It's a simple chakra suppression seal." He scoffed. "All we have to do is override it with chakra."

Deidara placed each of his hands on the cuffs, along with Sasori as they began channelling chakra into the cuffs. The little girl watched in curiosity as her wrists grew warm with the metal shackles as some kind of energy flowed out of the two men and into the metal. After a minute, the cuffs shattered, sending pieces of metal everywhere. Sasori held out his hand to inspect the girl's wrists, expecting there to be fragments of metal stuck in the skin. To his surprise, there was nothing wrong with the skin around her wrists, other than it being irritated, red, and raw. Right before their eyes, the skin was healing, and after a few seconds, it was completely healed.

The two shared a look before turning back to the girl, who stared at her wrists in awe. She had never seen her healing abilities before, she had never been injured. She wasn't even sure what pain was supposed to feel like.

"Now that we're done with that, let's go." Sasori said. "We've been here long enough."

Deidara squatted down again, his back facing her.

"Climb on my back and we can get going, un." He said.

She nodded hesitantly, doing her best to climb on his back, although it was something she'd never done before. He rose from his squat with her on his back and wrapped his arms around her legs. She put her small hands on his shoulders, peering over his shoulders to get a better look at everything.

They walked past the destroyed metal door and left the cell, leaving only the burning torch behind. The girl squinted, looking forward as rays of sun streamed into the darkness through huge holes. She gasped as they walked into the light, not knowing what to expect.

"Ah!" She gasped, clenching her eyes shut once the sun hit her.

"You act as you've never seen the sun." Sasori stated.

"Sun? What is sun?" She asked, opening one eye.

"That light and warmth is the sun." Deidara replied. "It gives us light during the day."

"At night, there is the moon and even stars." Sasori added, smiling softly at the little girl who still looked confused.

She nodded, looking around curiously, asking questions about everything she saw, committing all the information to memory.

"What's that?" She asked, pointing into the distance.

"That's a tree, and the green high above us are leaves," Deidara replied. "Lot's of animals live in the trees, you might even see a bird."

"Birds, don't those walk in the air?" She asked, pointing to a shadow above them.

"They fly." Deidara replied.

"Can we fly too?" She asked, looking up in the sky.

"Not everyone, very few of us can." Deidara replied. "I'll make sure we fly together one day."

"I'd like that." She smiled, hugging his neck.

Deidara grinned too. "I'm the best senpai ever, un!"

She giggled, nodding her head.

Sasori shook his head, but smiled at their interactions, only adding to the conversation when he felt necessary. He generally wasn't a social person at all, but there was something about this completely innocent girl that made him smile. She was just so oblivious to everything, including the horrors of a shinobi's life. Part of him felt like she didn't belong with a group like the Akatsuki, but another part of him remembered the blood on her clothes and in her hair.

She was going to be a little monster, that much was for certain.

Sasori tuned back in when he heard another gasp.

"What is that?!" She exclaimed, pointing again.

Deidara quickly shushed her.

"You have to be quiet, that's a deer," Deidara whispered. "They get scared very easily and are rare to see even during the day."

She smiled, her eyes locked on the majestic creature that grazed just ahead of them. She was especially fascinated by the white horns that spread out like tree branches.

"I really like day."

Deidara wanted to faint.

"Too cute!"

A/N

That was too freaking cute to write! Also, I thought I should warn you, but she will not be called Himika in this book. Her name was given to her by the Third Hokage, but she doesn't meet the Third in this book. Her name will be different and have a different meaning. It's still the same character though. I hope I don't slip up! Hope you liked this chapter! VOTE COMMENT AND ENJOY!
