Ch.4: Love Will Fix...The Chain Monster!
Victim:
Trinket Octoro
Middle School Division
-(H/S) High Division-40 minutes before-
The young eighth grader frowned as she looked at a picture in her binder with a look of longing, her lower lip jutted out in a pout. Young Trinket Octoro glanced up from the photo in shock as someone suddenly crashed into her.
"Oops, sorry." Laughed the (H/C) that stood above her, smiling kindly as she offered a hand to the younger brunette. "You're new here, right? I'm Y/N L/N, please come to me if you have trouble with anything!" She beamed.
"O-oh, thank you..." Trinket smiled shyly, pressing her binder to her chest. "G-goodbye!" She stuttered, beginning to hurry away.
Y/N tilted her head in curiosity. "You're lost, aren't you?" She asked, causing Trinket to pause midstep. "You're in the High school hallway after all, why don't I walk you to the cafeteria?" She offered.
"P-please." Trinket shakily nodded.
Y/N smiled. "Follow me!" She waved the younger female over, before walking the direction Trinket had originally come from.
While the two walked, Trinket was shocked when she noticed the red animal wrapped around Y/N's neck with it's eyes closed.
"Is it dead...?" She muttered, before squeaking when the animal's eyes opened and he stared at her.
"Hmmm...?" Y/N hummed, glancing at Trinket.
"I...uh...thought we weren't supposed to have pets here." Trinket shakily said, looking at the red panda as it yawned.
"Oh, right." Y/N laughed. "This is Panda." She said, rubbing the animal's head. "He's like the school mascot here. My sister and I rescued him from drowning a few years ago, and Grandpa said he could stay as long as he behaves." She explained.
"Your grandpa...?" Trinket's eyes widened in realization.
"Principal Parrish is my grandpa, from my mom's side." Y/N sent her a closed eyed smile. "Do you have any pets?" The (H/C) asked.
"I...have a rabbit. Her name is Carrot." Trinket hesitated, smiling at the thought of her pet.
"I see. It must be very hard to leave a companion behind. I've gotten so attached to Panda, I don't know what I'd do if I had to leave him alone." Y/N fondly gazed at Panda who'd fallen asleep once more. "Well, here we are! I have to help other students, but I'll see you around, alright? Have a good day, Trinket!" Y/N grinned, before rushing away.
How can I have a good day....When I don't have my pet here to comfort me?
A smirk crossed a blonde's features as she walked up to the eigth grader. "You look troubled. Do you, perhaps...want to make a deal?"

"What are we going to do?! I've never seen anything like that before!" Y/N exclaimed, causing the trio to look at her.
"Oh...uh...We will handle this." Kinshirou told her.
"We will?" The other two asked in confusion.
"Y-yes." The silver haired male stuttered out while blushing in embarrassment.
"What are you going to do?" Y/N asked, wide eyed.
"We'll figure it out. Just stay here till the monster is gone, ok?" Ibushi stated with a forced smile.
"Uh....ok...?" Y/N nodded, before watching the trio leave. The (H/C) sighed, pressing onto the diamond that hung from the earring cuff, causing a shimmer to cascade over her figure.
--Meanwhile--
"What are you thinking?! We can't stop that creature!" Akoya exclaimed, hastily following his two friends.
"If the Defense Club could do it...then so could we." Kinshirou stated, looking like he was trying to believe what he was trying to believe what he had said.
Akoya and Ibushi looked at each other unsure, but couldn't deny that they could at least...try.
Before going out to the courtyard, the three transformed to their battle forms, still having kept their rings. Though their uniforms were now white instead of black.
When the trio got out into the courtyard, the monster had already caused a lot of damage, and was holding multiple hostages in its chains that covered it's animal like body.
"This monster looks different than all of ours!" Akoya shouted as one of the monster's chains tried to wrap around his leg.
"It's still a troubled human though, isn't it? We just need to find out why they were turned!" Ibushi stated.
"Then we can worry about who changed them!" Kinshirou nodded.
"Oi! Chain Monster!" Akoya shouted, stepping back when the monster turned towards them, it's eyes covered by the chains that wrapped around it like a mummy.
"Why're you doing this?!" Kinshirou asked.
"Why?" The monster's voice came out like a person who had a cold. "Everyone thinks they can control what others do, they deserve to pay!" It snarled.
"Wait, what do you mean?" Ibushi asked.
"Stop asking questions!" The chain monster snapped, some of its chains darting towards the trio.
The Conquest Club dodged the chains, causing the chain monster to become angrier as it dropped its hostages to strike one of the three.
"We just want to help!" Kinshirou shouted, frustrated at how easy Atsushi and his friends made this look.
"You don't care! No one cares but Carrot!" The trio were tripped when they were caught in their confusion.
"Carrot? Is that an animal?" Ibushi asked.
"It's my pet, you fools!" Snapped the chain monster.
"I don't own him, and I don't think I could ever force someone like that." Y/N's words from earlier rang through the trio's minds, causing their eyes to widen in surprise.
"If it's your pet, then aren't you doing the same thing that you're accusing others of?" Kinshirou asked.
"Huh?" The chain monster hesitated in its attack.
"If it's your pet, then you own it. That's the definition of a pet, right? So you control it." Ibushi stated.
"No...That's not it....Stop trying to distract me!" Growled the chain monster, sending more chains to try and capture the Conquest Club.
The trio grunted as chains wrapped around their middles and took them off the ground.
"You know we're right, so stop denying it!" Akoya shouted.
"No! You guys are liars!" The chain monster shook it's head back and forth frantically. "I don't control Carrots...if I did, she'd be here with me right now..." It whimpered.
"Is that what this is about?" Ibushi muttered in disbelief.
"I bet if you asked, they might have pulled some strings! You have anxiety, don't you? And Carrot helps you relax, right?" Kinshirou asked the chain monster.
"Yes..." It whimpered.
The trio grinned at each other and nodded. They pointed their swords at the chain monster, a golden light penetrating it.
When the light dissipated, Trinket Octoro sat in what looked to be a daze.
"We did it?" Kinshirou blinked in surprise.
"Oh, you did it alright." The trio looked up in surprise, seeing two figures standing on the fountain in the middle of the courtyard. Their faces were blurred, and their voices were high pitched, though they could tell by the outfits and body that the duo were female.
"Are you the ones who did this?!" Akoya shouted at the two.
"It's a teamwork effort, so yes, we are the ones." Said the one with (F/C) daisies on her outfit.
"You three really live up to expectation." The one with pink roses on her outfit snickered.
"You know who we are?" Kinshirou asked in surprise.
"Of course, the show that Zundar produced went Galaxy-wide. We were able to see it thanks to our little companion, big fans by the way." The daisy one stated, tone sounding mocking. "Till next time!" The two then suddenly disappeared.
"What was that about?" Akoya grumbled unhappily.
"I'm not sure...but I think we'll be having to deal with a lot more monsters." Kinshirou frowned.
