Alma was going through the halls of Casita, when she heard some noises from one of rooms. It sounded like childish babbling, but it wasn't Antonio. It was a girl's voice.
The matriarch walked to the enter, to see Julieta smiling gently, as she brushed Isabela's hair, with Luisa and Mirabel sitting next to her, their hair already brushed and braided with flowers and Little bows. Luisa also had her donkey toy and Mirabel was suckling on a pacifier.
Through not everyone would calmly look at a 21 year old woman getting her hair done by her mother, a 19 year old girl hugging a stuffed toy and a 15 year old girl using a pacifier, it was not the case for Alma. The kids, besides Antonio, were regressors, it was a fact, known by everyone in Madrigal family, including Agustín's and Félix's parents and siblings, and few family friends, they trusted enough.
The woman smiled, as she watched the scene...
"Oh, Isa, mí pequeña flor~. Your hair's always so soft~" Julieta cooed softly, braiding Isabela's hair just like her sisters' were.
"Thank you, Mamí!" The eldest of three girls giggled, before showing at her sisters. "And what do you think of Lulu's and Mira's new hair styles? I made the flowers!"
"Ay, I don't forget about them~" Julieta turned to her younger girls. "Oh, just look at you! Such beautiful little girls! These flowers fit you so much!"
Luisa smiled, blushing slightly, as Mirabel giggled reaching for Julieta, to be picked up. The mother couldn't help the smile, as she lifted the Little onto her lap, cradling her in her arms. Soon enough, Luisa and Isabela were cuddled to their mother as well.
Alma watched the scene with smile at her face, when a distant memory came into her head.
"Mama!" A 5 year old Julieta ran over to her, to make Alma smile.
"Yes, Mija?"
"Can you help me? I can't reach!" The small girl was holding a hair brush.
"Of course, amor. Sit down, let's do your hair"
10 minutes later, Julieta was running around with bunch of flowers in her hair. Needless to say Pepa and Bruno bagged for same thing, and Alma fulfilled the wish for her children.
Alma was snapped out of her thoughts by Agustín, whis stood across the doorway, also watching his wife and daughters.
"Couldn't help yourself?" The man asked, Alma nodded "Can't blame you. They're so precious." Agustín sighed, before smiling softly "You might not be the best Abuela, but you sure are a great Mamá"
Alma wasn't sure, what he meant, but she still smiled, leaning against the door.

Turns out not only Julieta's family was regressed today.
In Pepa's room, her younger daughter was occupied by her children, who were just as small as their primas were. Her sons were sitting on her knees, Dolores next to her and Pepa herself had her hand wrapped around her daughter's shoulder and in other she had a family photo album.
"Mamí! It's you!" Camilo squealed, poking one of the pictures, to make Pepa giggle.
"Yes, Cami. It's Mamí~" The ginger woman smiled, before showing at something on the picture. "And this is your Papí. It was the day, we met! Oh, it was such a lovely day..."
"Could you tell us about it, Mamí?" Dolores asked, as Antonio nodded.
"Yes! Please! Please! Tell us, Mamí!"
Pepa smiled, it wasn't the first time she was telling her children that story, but she never complained about that. It was joy to return to that day, no matter how many years passed. And to tell that story to her beautiful children? Pepa loved it even more that way, knowing that day, not only the happiest in her life, but also had lead to these three angels, she was holding in her arms.
"Ay, why not?" Pepa chuckled. "It was a normal day. But little did I know it would change my life forever..."
"Mamí!"
Alma looked away from the family book, to see her 3 year old daughter on her lap.
"Sí, Pepita?"
"How you and Papí met?"
The woman looked over her child, her other two got interested as well. Young mother raised her eyebrow, looking in between of her children.
"I never told you?"
All three children shook their heads, before Alma smiled, sighing.
"Ay, alright! Come here, chiquitos"
As tiny triplets climbed on their mother's laps, as Alma opened the album on picture of candle festival.
"This was the day, we met..." Alma started the story. "My Papá and I went to festival and I decided to climb up a pole to get a better look... little did I know somebody else had a similar idea..."
A laugh pulled Alma from her thoughts, as she looked back to see Félix behind her with a smirk
"Like mother, like daughter, huh?"
Alma's gaze turned back, at her daughter, as a smile grew on her face.

With her daughters playing and tending their regressed children, it was little of a surprise for Alma to find that Bruno had a similar situation in the living room.
He was sitting on the couch, six children falling asleep on him. His knees and shoulders were occupied by them, as Bruno either held them gently or strocked their hair. To complete the scene, Alma decided to sit next to them, lije to read a book, but more like to watch her family, as Bruno was singing a too familiar lullaby for the kids...
The memory flew over Alma itself. So many, but stopped on particular one.
Alma was on her bed, less than a year after the Miracle was brought to life and Encanto was created.
Her little babies, barely one yet, were restless this night, so she took them to her room, so she'd be able to watch them. The girls were soundly asleep in few minutes, but her little Bruno didn't calm down still.
And Alma knew exactly, what her baby boy wanted, as she picked him up, gently strocking the small fluff of hair, her child had time to grow.
"Como me apena el verte llorar
Toma mi mano siéntela
Yo te protejo de cualquier cosa
No llores más, aquí estoy..."
The lullaby went on, little Bruno slowly stopped his cry, looking up at his Mamí, before he yawned, slowly falling asleep against her chest, fully giving in, when Alma placed a soft kiss on his forehead.
"Buenas noches, Brunito..."
And watching her son singing to his baby nephews and nieces? It made Alma feel a tear ran down her face, as Bruno gently strocked the children's faces, placing a kiss on top of their heads.
"They take after you, Doña Alma, you know?" Just came in Mariano said, smiling at her.
Alma nodded. She truly saw that.
