They were known by many names.

The runaway trio. The Madrigal Underground. These unruly children. Brats. The disappeared princesses and prince. The royal triplets. You name it, they heard it all.

They were Julieta, Pepa and Bruno Madrigal. Triplets, separated from birth, but reunited to end the 11 years long reign of Lady Annabel and the terror it brought upon them. And to do so, they set on a quest, they made a vow to complete. They vowed to find their mother, Queen Alma Madrigal, the rightful ruler of their kingdom.

And, as you can guess, the life on the run, in constant fear for your life, as well with fact of being a heirs of kingdom, not to mention that you are the key to save the said kingdom, isn't what any 11 year old can call the life of his or her dreams. And neither would the Madrigal triplets.

And it where they discovered their "quiet time", as they called it.

Once on the sanctuary, the hidden village, where they raised kids, they would always smile, play and spend time with small inhabitants of this place. But one day, Julieta started wondering, if they could do that together, but... with no kids, like they were kids themselves.

When she told her siblings that idea, the two were slightly confused, but agreed to try. After few times, they got a hang of it and each of three would find it enjoyable in their own way.

And since then, whenever the triplets had a long day, they would look for some place, get their 'little' things and have some "quiet time", as Pepa would call it.

But something was always missing. Something, they couldn't quite name, but they knew it was missing.

And then... one day, it disappeared... the day... he appeared.

A man, probably in his late 30's or early 40's. He always wore a hood on to hide his head, but they knew he had a white shirt, with no sleeves, black pants and shoes. They never saw his face. They expected to see it, but the hood seemed to have some kind of spell, that... blocked all the sunlight and hid his face fully. It was rare, bit sometimes, they could see dark brown eyes and smile on his face. A gentle, caring smile, as if he was a parent, looking at his little child.

No one of the triplets knew, who he was. They didn't know, if he was with the Freedom Fighters or on Lady Annabel's side. The problem was that he only appeared when they were regressed and never appeared otherwise. They never saw him outside of their headspaces.

They tried to be careful with him, but none of them felt threatened by him. Like... something in him was telling them to relax. That they could trust him. Like he would protect them. They were safe with him.

They didn't know why it felt this way, but it did. They knew, they couldn't get attached, until they knew his side, but they were prepared to do everything in both cases.

They wished, they could just ask him, but he never stuck around, when they weren't regressed.

And yet, he provided them with love, games and comfort, when they wanted and needed it. From the moment they first saw him, he'd always been kind to them.

Julieta loved, when he would read to her. They sometimes even did it together, but she got nearly half of the words wrong, which always he was there to help her out and get it right.

Pepa loved, when he would play with her. She'd never forget the day, he got her the stuffed toy, as well as her siblings. She would be sure to always keep it safe.

Bruno loved, when he would sing to him. Being the youngest meant he couldn't do much, but their caretaker always knew the approach to the youngest triplet, always speaking softly to him and singing him to sleep.

They've had their regression for half a year already, and 4 months with their mysterious caregiver... but with each passing time, they were more and more sure he wasn't dangerous.

It was just a sweet time, both sides enjoyed.

The mysterious hooded man was surprised to one day return to his home and find a thank you letter from the triplets' mother, the Queen, but it made him smile.

"One day..." He said, taking his hood off, to reveal a his face to the world. "We'll be together, my love..." He pulled out a photo and smiled at it.

A photo, taken before the chaos, before the terror, before Lady Annabel had taken over... when the rightful royal family, beloved by everyone, was ruling the kingdom.

The photo of Queen Alma, a young woman, holding her three tiny children, warmly wrapped in blankets, sleeping against their mother, without a care in the world. But the part of it was missing... like if somebody was cut off on the right part.

"One day soon..." He sighed, looking out the window. "We'll return the peace to our home."
