Alma Madrigal was walking through the town, checking if everything was running smoothly, when she heard some parents talking to each other about the kids coming back.
It was nothing new. Her grandchildren made a little camping event for the community kids. It was monthly thing and she always loved it, when the six kids would come home with all types of stories to tell them.
And to make this more exciting? Starting from this month, little Camilo and Mirabel were finally old enough to be troop leaders! The two were so excited and planned everything for weeks! Alma just hoped she'd be able to live long enough to see the same excitement on Antonio's face, when he's old enough...
And second reason? Well...
"Mamá!!" The voice called from back.
And there it is~.
Alma looked back at her youngest child running to her, wrapping his arms around her shoulders for her to do the same thing.
"Hola, Brunito." She smiled, looking into her son's eyes. "How did everything go? Did you have good time?"
The man nodded rapidly, smiling brightly to his mother.
"And I might have slipped a couple of times..." Bruno chuckled nervously, only making Alma chuckle herself with shaking her head.
"Ay, Dios mio... oh, well..." The matriarch gently smiled, strocking her son's hair, while looking around. "Looks like we'll be stuck here for awhile, so why don't you tell me some of stories, that happened during the outing?"

The seven Madrigals were leading group of kids into the forest in sunny day.
Isabela and Dolores were in charge of the map and direction, where they could go, Luisa stayed behind everyone, making sure none got separated and lost in the woods, Mirabel and Camilo were taking turns to sing some cheerful songs to keep the kids entertained, as more and more would join in with them.
Little Antonio holding his Tío Bruno's hand, looking up at him.
"You ready, Tío Bruno?" He asked brightly. "We're gonna have so much fun!"
Bruno smiled down at Antonio, nodding.
In few minutes, they finally got into place. The tents and place for campfire was already out, only waiting for small visitors to get in them.
"Alright, campers! Everyone's ready for the best weekends in your life!?" Mirabel cheered, asthe kids started shouting and cheering ad well. She said it every time, when they got to camp, but excitement never lessened. "Glad to hear that!"
First things first, they were separated into troops. They never stayed in had troop for two periods at once, so every time was a surprise! There were nature, melody and strength troops, each lead by one of the Madrigal kids. And this time, it also had Mirabel and Camilo's troop, they called "butterflies and chameleons".
They choose, who gets in what troop by pulling the troop name out of hat. Dolores was the one to pass by every child this time, letting them pick one paper out of hat.
Antonio was the last one to pick his. The small boy put his hand in the hat, pulling the name, before his smile grew and he laughed, running towards his brother and cousin, screaming their names. Looks like he got to them! Bruno smiled at it gently, before Dolores put the hat to him.
"Uh?" The man looked at his niece. "What is it, Dolores?"
"Would you like to pull one too?" Dolores smiled. "It's not necessary, but... we suggest we do that to adults, who decide to join us as well."
Bruno couldn't help the smile, as he went to pull a small paper out. It had a drawing of small flower on it.
"Ooh! You got to Isa, Tío!" Dolores cheered, clapping her hands slightly, not to hurt her ears too much.
Bruno couldn't help the chuckle, as he walked to his eldest niece, in whose troop already were six children.
"Hm?" Isabela looked up at Bruno, smiling. "Did you get in my troop, Tío?"
"Um... yeah" He smiled sheepishly.
"Great!" Isabela then pulled out a purple ribbon from her bag, handing it to Bruno. "Pull it on your shoulder! This way we can know, which troop you belong to!"
"Why that, Isa?" One of small children, a little boy with glasses, asked
"Well... honestly, there's not much difference, but just that way we can keep the track on you! Just so none gets lost and we can tell you apart~" Isabela said, placing her hand on small boy's head.
Then, she looked around, noticing that all of children were already separated in groups and had their marks.
"Now, with my greatest honor, I announce the ninety-sixth shift of Miracle Camp officially opened!"
And with that said, the kids again started screaming, jumping up and down, clapping their hands and cheering.

Few hours into the camping, Bruno found himself hardly able not to slip into Little space. It didn't help that first thing to do was flower search. Isabela asked them to find few flowers, she grew in few places around the camp, and then get them to her.
It wasn't until a small butterfly, a normal blue one, not one of Mirabel's, sat on his nose, causing him to giggle.
"Hola" Bruno said quietly, not wanting to scare the small insect away. "You know where any of Isa's flowers are?"
The butterfly only kept slowly fluttering it's wings. It probably just had decided to have a small pit stop on his nose. Then few more butterflies came to him, more and more flying between his curly hair, making him giggle more.
Didn't take too long, before butterflies attracted kids' attention. So many kids from all over the camp, starting to join the small fun, as butterflies came over to them and not only Bruno.
It was the last straw to make Brumo fully slip into being a child. And that made him join the kids, telling them small stories about butterflies and such.
Not far from them, Bruno's family stood, smiled at the scene.
"How do you think? They earned their 'friend of bitterflies' patches?" Mirabel asked, not looking away from anyone in the group.
"I don't know~. You say, oh, your butterfly highness!" Camilo joked, making his sister and cousins giggle, befire Mirabel smiled at everyone.
"Yes. I think, they did"

The night came over faster than expected, as the camp was sitting infront of fire, few kids frying fruit over it, some were singing along to Dolores' guitar, totally off the key, but none judged. They were having fun and that what mattered.
"Hm!" Camilo squeaked "Now that what I call a good fried papaya!" He said, before signing something in his list and putting a small patch on little Alejandra's slash. "Here you go, kid. You totally earned it!"
The small girl gasped, smiling up at her tiny victory. "Thank you, Camilo!"
"You're welcome, Alejandra!" He chuckled, tickling small girl in her side, causing her to giggle as well.
"Alright, everybody" Mirabel came back from tents. "The little ones are asleep, but we shouldn't stay up for too much late either!"
"That's right, Mirabel" Isabela agreed with her sister "We've got a lot exploring to do tomorrow, so how about we tell each other some stories, before going to bed?"
The kids agreed to it and, one by one, started to tell stories, funny, sweet, scary-turning-funny and such. After each turn, a child was awarded with applauding from everyone else, no matter how bad or boring that story was. It was one of the rules : everyone's equal and in group activities get rewarded the same.
It was until one of the older boys, Manuel, showed at Bruno, smiling widely.
"Señor Madrigal! Can you tell a story!? Camilo said you're a good storyteller!" He said, showing at Bruno from across the fire.
Bruno, still in Little space, was a bit shocked by it, but then he remembered something, smiling.
"Okay!" The regressed man sat straight, before starting.
"Agustín told us that story... Long ago, when he and his family just found Encanto, they knew, it was a paradise on Earth. And yet... there was something unsettling, but they didn't know why... until one day..."
His smirk grew, as he continued to tell a story. He told there was a huge, scary monster, living in the woods of their peaceful, well-protected land.
He told it once tried to attack Agustín. It was nothing like any creature on Earth. It had a black fur, so many additional limbs, that only seemed to grow and grow. And worst part? It's eyes. It's pircing, toxic green eyes.
He told that Agustín fought it off, before people came running to him.
"And it never appeared in the Encanto again. But you know what? It never left... It still lives in this forest, hunting for new prey... every night, if you're quiet enough... if you listen close enough... you'll hear it's growling, how it's lurking around, looking for new meal, a poor lost soul, that was unfortunate enough to get lost at the night... searching for a little camping place... just like this... and just when you'll think you're safe... you'll feel a warm breathing, right into your back~"
The kids were already shaking in fear, holding into each other, whimpering and nearly crying.
"H-how do you... how do you know that, Señor Madrigal..?" Cecilia asked, crushed in between of her best friends.
Bruno smirked at it, his eyes glowing in the darkness.
"Oh, very easy, really, child~" The man stood in full height, turning his to the rest. "Because it's already closer than you think... because it's ME!" Bruno turned around, screaming, before the rest of children did the same thing, running to other adults, who just sighed, shaking their heads.
"Tío..." Isabela started. "It's too far, they're just kids. Now it'll be a miracle, if they'll fall asleep-"
"I loved it!" One of children yelled
Huh?
More and more children agreed to it, jumping to Bruno, begging him to tell more. The Little's giggles didn't slow down, as he continued to answer questions from the audience.
Well... now that's miracle, huh?

"Now that's was something to tell about, mijo!" Alma said, shaking her head.
"I was going to tell them they were safe, that the monster would only attack bad people! I was going to say Agustín was a mistake!" Bruno put his hand on his head, chuckling. "They turned out so much braver, than I expected! None even came to their leader at nights!"
"Well, I hope none will complain about that scary story of yours. I don't know, how we'll explain this..." Alma sighed, before smiling at her son again. "So... it was just first day? What happened on second?"
"Ohoho!" Bruno smirked to his mother. "Now that's a tale, I was hoping, you'd ask about!"
To be continued...
(I'm sorry!
This thing was already too long!
I had to split it up in two!
I promise, second part will be posted soon too!)
