Pepa was alone in Casita. The rest of the Madrigals were out, doing some errands, spending time with outside of family friends, helping people, or just enjoy the nice weather. But not Pepa. No. She was home. Alone...

Well... alone was a strong word, as her little niece, Mirabel, was there, in her room, but she was sick. And she was tasked to watch over her, as Julieta wasn't able to be there today.

The eldest triplet was assisting with child birth of one of Encanto's families. The mother was very frail and, even with Bruno's prediction of her and the baby both making it, and that mother even will still be able to have more kids, the process was promising to be long and Julieta's presence was a must. She would come for an hour, while their mother would switch her, so she could check on Mirabel, but the girl was mostly in Pepa's care for the day.

Not that Pepa minded it. The woman adored her youngest niece and she instantly agreed to be her caretaker, when Julieta asked. She knew that her sister would do the same thing, if it was one of her children sick, simply by her kind nature. Pepa always swore, Julieta was too kind for her own good.

Pepa was just finishing up a book, she's been reading for last few days, when she looked up. Time to check on Mirabel. After last time, Julieta came, the girl was falling asleep, so Pepa could relax her worry for a bit.

The ginger woman stood up, walking upstairs to Mirabel's room, stopping by the nursery door nearly on instinct, but then walked back to the destination.

Softly knocking on the door, Pepa entered the room, with thousands of golden butterflies flying around her. The small insects were like Mirabel's helpers since the Magic returned, through they couldn't fully be counted like a Gift. She couldn't control them, talk to them nor she could summon them, when she needed.

There were just always one or two on her hair/shoulder, wherever she went and they'd help her holding small things, lead her the way to those in need. And Mirabel loved them. She loved how they fluttered in her hair, how they played with her and Antonio, how they'd help her. And, if Mirabel was happy, so was her family.

"Just checking on Mira" Pepa said, when one of butterflies sat in her hair, before flying off to table to one small thing. Pacifier. One, Mirabel would use in Little space. Did it just fly there? Or did Mira..? "Did she slip?"

There was no reply from a butterfly, but she didn't think she expected one. Pepa just picked the piece of plastic in her hand, before heading to her niece.

Mirabel laid in her bed, gently surrounded by her blanket and pillows, hugging a stuffed toy in her arms. Her hair was a mess, all over her pillow, she was slightly paler than usual, there were shades under her eyes. The girl didn't look well, and it was clear.

"Hey, Mira..." Pepa walked over to her niece, touching her forehead. Still hot, but slightly better than last time, she checked. "How do you feel, Corazón?"

"Till icky, Tía..." Mirabel looked up, scared eyes, covering herself nearly fully with blanket, only leaving top of her nose and everything above it. "Go 'way. No wan you icky too..."

Pepa couldn't help a smile. The small voice, Mirabel had, truly told her the girl had slipped into her Little space.

"Getting sick, while taking care of my favorite little niece?" The woman cooed softly, tickling little girl's side, causing her to giggle "That's the risk, I'm willing to take!"

"Tank you, Tía" Mirabel said softly, before Pepa smiled, remembering something.

"How old are you, sweetheart?" She asked, before Mirabel thought.

"Tis many" She smiled, showing two fingers up.

"Oh my!" Pepa smiled. "What a big girl Tía Pepa has in her arms~"

Mirabel giggled again, before coughing a bit. That made Pepa think.

"You know, Mira?" She said, as the Little looked up at her. "Your Mamí made some soup, just for you. Why don't we get you some?"

"Mamí?" Mirabel asked.

"She's still with Señora Rosa, remember? Today is going to be her baby's birthday!" Pepa said in cheerful voice. She knew that Mirabel knew how birth worked, but this way, she'd avoid the talk with Little Mira.

"Oh..." The Little giggled. "Anoter baby for Cami's daycare!"

Now it was Pepa's turn to giggle.

"Yes. And Mamí needs to be there to be sure that the baby is good and healthy. And while Mamí's not here..." Pepa stood up, gently booping Mirabel's nose. "Tía is the one to heal you!"

The Little giggled again, smiling at her Tía.

"Oh, finally. We're over..." Julieta and Bruno Madrigal came into the Casita.

It was already nearly night, when they did. They had to make sure everything was running nice and smoothly for few hours after delivery, but it was a success. A new, healthy little member of their community was born and the mother was, all through exhausted, but still there and well and happy with her new bundle of joy.

The sight infront of her made Julieta want to rush to all three of her daughters, to hug them, kiss them and tell how lucky she was to have them.

"I'm gonna go and check on Mira..." Julieta said. "I feel like you need to have your brain washed after today" She chuckled, remembering how her poor hermanito nearly fell unconscious few times.

"Hey!" Bruno looked up. "Stop poking fun of me! I watched you and Pepa giving birth! Not once!"

"Of course~" Julieta rolled her eyes, walking upstairs to Mirabel's room

"No. Really! If it wasn't for me seeing the future, you'd never-!"

"Sh!" Julieta's hand flew over Bruno's mouth, once they were inside, to see an adorable sight infront of them.

Pepa was sitting on Mira's bed, her head on her shoulder, a fairy tale book in her hand, Mirabel with her head on her Tía's leg, blanket over her, and looked so much better since she last came in to check on her, her pacifier in her mouth and it seemed like she was wearing her special Little space dress. The last thing was that Camilo had joined them at some point, probably due feeling jealous of his prima having his Mamí's attention, and fell asleep on Pepa's side.

The scene was looking cozy and comfortable all together, that was only fitting that they were in Mirabel's room, that was filled with girl's unconventional love. Pepa had a content smile on her face, her hands on Mira's head and around her son.

Julieta couldn't help the smile, as she walked over, fixing the blanket over three of them, kissing her daughter and nephew on foreheads and then her sister on cheek.

"Thank you, hermana. I really appreciate, what you did for Mira today..."

"Both of them are gonna be so sick in the morning~"

"Shut up, Bruno!"

Needless to say, his words were true.

"Still worth it!" Pepa shoot her hand up, as Mirabel, no longer in Little space and fully recovered, brought her and Camilo some soup and her son groaned, suddenly awoken from his nap.
