Legacy's POV

I knew exactly what Darius was thinking yesterday.

He was thinking about the day we broke up.

Yeah. I was devistated. I'd had a crush on him since before the last christmas and by the time he asked me out it was the middle of July!

I know people say life isnt fair all the time, but i really dont get why i suddenly became my crush's rebound. THAT isnt fair.

"Hey whats wrong?" A familiar voice asked.

"What do you want Darius?" I growled.

"Woah, i was only asking if you were ok." He replied and raised his hands in defence.

I turned around to face him and rested my forearms on the railing that kept people from falling off our balcony.

This was Storm's house. We were staying there for a few days.

He walked through the crystal doors, never breaking eye contact with me.

"I know what you were thinking about yesterday." I sighed.

He looked at me with a mixture of shock and slight embarrasment.

"Its ok. It was kinda my fault. I called you something i havent called you in a while, ie. Since we were dating and it brought back those memories for me too." I smiled slightly.

"I knew you could read my mind. I never wanted you to see that, but i just couldnt stop myself from thinking about it."  He sighed and gently rubbed my upper arm with his strong hand.

"Its hard to do, i dont blame you. But hey. Nothing we can do to change the past. The future awaits our sculpting." I smiled softly.

I slowly put my hand on his shoulder and he watched as i did so. I lifted myself up onto my toes and shifted my head towards his ears so i could whisper to him.

"But I never stopped loving you." I breathed.

I pulled away and stared into his eyes.

They portrayed a mixture of shock and pain.

Fuck.

Darius' POV

She still loved me? After what i did to her?  But how?

"B-But what about this? Our friendship. I'm in a relationship and you know it Legacy. I realize how happy you were when we dated, but i-i dont know. I'm sorry." I said quietly after a while.

I leant down and caressed her cheek with my hand, i moved my head further towards her and i gently kissed her lips. It was supposed to be a goodbye kiss. I went to pull away but Legacy wrapped her fingers within my hair and pulled me closer, deepening the kiss.

"What the fuck?!" I heard a voice coming from towards my left, coming from near the doorway to the balcony.

We pulled away and there stood CC. His mouth was open ajar and he looked furious.

"Oh shit. CC its not what it looks like i swear to Sa-"

"Yeah save it Legacy. I forgave you for Matt kissing you but you werent even fighting Darius, what the fuck is wrong with you?!" He argued, spitefully.

"CC i'm sorry. Yeah, i admit it. I'm not over Darius yet. But you were my get away, my shoulder to cry on. And i started to fall in lo-"

"Fuck you. Your get away? Rebound's more like it." He growled.

"Hold on, if anyone's a rebound it was Legacy when i asked her out ages ago. I needed someone to distract me from my ex and i guess she was easy because she loved me and i'm sorry. I could never be more sorry. I never planned on doing that to her.  But i never knew she still felt that way." I interuppted, never making eye contact with neither Legacy or the human that currently wanted to kill me.

"Yeah. Thanks a lot Darius. Thanks for not being afraid to call me your fucking rebound." I said harshly, my eyes narrowing before storming off, past CC, into the bedroom and launching myself (With a little help from my wings for extra support) onto the bed where i clasped my hands around my face.

"Legacy i'm sorry, i didnt mean it." Darius sighed, following me in, totally ignoring CC who was currently about to explode with rage. 

"Sorry for what? Calling me your rebound or breaking my heart by making me your rebound?" I asked even more harshly than before.

He stood back in shock at my comment. But then he took a breath and continued. "Both."   

"Of course you are Darius. Thats why your still with her." I replied.

"Is she really worth this?" CC asked him with a smirk. "Is she worth all these arguments?"

"Of course she is, she always will be. She's my friend, she'll always be worth the shit that happens between us." Darius replied and chuckled quietly.

"And you, Legacy how long have you liked Darius?" CC asked.

"Not liked." I replied, listening to my voice crack in my throat. "Loved."

"I'm sorry?" CC scoffed.

"I've loved him since Friday December 16 last year. Tuesday July 17 was the happiest day of my life CC. It was the day Darius asked me out. I know we only dated for a week and two days and shit. But seriously, that short time was the happiest time of my life." I explained.

I glanced over at Darius, who's face was starting to go white with guilt. Then at CC, who was only going red with the rage that i was surprised hadn't made him blow like a volcano yet.

Spoke to soon.

"WHAT THE FUCK LEGACY?! SO YOU DO TO ME WHAT DARIUS DID TO YOU! I WAS JUST A DISTRACTION FROM HIM, JUST A FUCKING REBOUND RIGHT!? GOD YOUR SUCH A FUCKING WHORE!" He screamed.

I looked at him in complete shock.

What the fuck was i supposed to say to that?!

"Dont you fucking dare talk to her like that! Its not like i fucked her the first chance i got CC! It was just a short, sweet relationship. And it was three fucking months ago as well! Why are we making such a big deal of it now?!" Darius argued.

"Because i'm still not over it." I whispered.

 "I want to go home." CC mumbled whilst me and Darius never took our eyes off of each other.

"I'll do i-" I said, sitting up on the bed.

"No Legacy. I'll ask Storm to do it." CC replied, cutting me off.

"Whatever." I breathed and rolled my eyes. "If its no conselation. I'm staying here."

"I dont care. You're none of my concern anymore legacy. We're done." He glared and walked out of the room and headed down the chute for none-winged creatures.

I sighed and glanced up at Darius.

"I'm sorry." I whispered.

"What are you sorry about? Its my fault. That kiss was supposed to be a goodbye kiss, Legacy.  was saying goodbye. I want to stop hurting you." He explained.

"Please don't leave ne." I whimpered.

He can't do this.
