Out of white light, a fuzzy dark silhouette comes into focus: 

                           a girl, dressed in school uniform, wounded face, blood oozing out of her head,  her shaky breathing audible as she clutches a string of metal beads in a bloody fist. She faces off against a scarred brute wielding a sledgehammer.

The girl demands,   "Who is Damodar ?"

She's trembling with rage, not fear, and she screams,

                                        "Give me my mom!"
