"Eat, sleep and repeat"

(Continuation of chapter 4(a))

"Oh God, I better stop watching those soap operas." She chugged it away mentally.

Ignoring the gaze she had on her, she started sipping on her chilled Coke.

Lasya loves coke and Pepsi. They keep her cool. But she doesn't drink it often; Once in a fortnight, that's it. She knows the flavored drinks are not good for the health. 

"Who was that?" Lasya asks as soon as Tina hung up the call.

She sighs. "It's my mom in law and she has some demands regarding the wedding so yeah, I need to go and visit her in the afternoon."

Lasya knows her mom in law as a very sweet person and she has many dreams on her son's wedding. Tina's boyfriend is very rich and runs a hotel business around the country. They have many hotels, resorts, and spas in and around the country. She again snaps her out of the thoughts.

"Okay, anyway I am happy for you. Don't remember what I have said. Don't forget me. I swear okay. It's already one o clock. I think we need to catch some other time." Lasya said and hugs her sideways. 

"I will invite you personally to your place with my wedding card and I don't need any excuses for not attending my wedding. You should come a day before and help me in dressing up. Is that clear?" Tina warned her narrowing her eyes. 
Lasya smiled at her and give her a thumbs up.

She also pulled her cheeks lovingly and replied." Sure thing my dear. I am not going to miss the chance of getting to eat all kinds of food around the world on your wedding. So yeah, I am up." Tina hits her shoulders.

"oh wow... great... So you are not coming to see me but to eat the stupid food. Hey, that's not fair enough." Tina whined.

Lasya let out her funny giggles seeing her childish complaint. "Gosh dear, I was just kidding. I am coming to see you only and food is just a side case"

Later they hugged each other and Lasya gave her a forehead kiss. Tina bid bye to her and she left her.

Lasya went to counter again to get one more coke. She collected it and started walking towards her apartment.

It's just a few meters away from the cafe shop and more than that it is on the ground floor. So she doesn't have to spend time wasting by entering into an elevator.

But Lasya didn't know why she felt someone's presence behind her. She stopped by midway and turned back to look around to see if someone was actually there or not. But to her dismay, there was nobody. She sighed and continued her walking sipping her coke.

She checked her phone and put it back on her pants pocket. After 10 minutes or so, she reaches her apartment and unlocked the door.

Before closing the door she once again checked the surroundings, she shook her head not able to understand the weird feeling she got today and locked the door from inside.

As soon as she turned, Ritchie came running and started to jump and lick her face.

"Oh Gosh, I can't feel happy seeing him like this." She thought mentally.

Everyone will be extremely happy to see their parents waiting when they come back from somewhere, but for her, it's only to be her Ritchie that too sometimes when she asks him to stay back. Or else the empty apartment welcomes her. 

"I wonder whether I will have someone in the future in my life to love, share and cherish me forever." She groans internally thinking the impossibility.

Later she responds to him.

"Hey, no..no Ritchie..please don't lick me like this..oh Gosh...you missed me this much... God... Please no..no..I need to change the dress now. Later we shall do fun. Is that okay my boy?" Lasya cooed him.

To which he just drools and lifts one of his legs towards her cheek.

She holds it and hugged him. She threw empty coke tin in the kitchen trash can and moved to the bedroom to freshen up leading her way for Ritchie.

Once when she came back after freshening up she boiled some milk and poured it in Ritchie's bowl with some dog food.

She didn't prepare anything for lunch as she has already had a burger in the cafe. Since she didn't have any other work, she started getting engaged with her tv watching nonstop tv shows.

She continued binge-watching it till 6.30 in the eve. By this time, Ritchie took a nap. She then switched off the TV and turned her phone on to play some devotional songs at this serene hour.

Lasya always believed in spiritual force. Even after the death of her parents, she doesn't want to lose faith. It's just got increased and she understood that he is trying to teach her something from her life.

She has already learned how to live better-facing lots of hurdles and obstacles that were coming like a never-ending machine gun bullet on her path. But still, she stood above with courage and hope, thinking she may reach a better place to stay in the end.

God or almighty or spiritual force or whatever we call it, she believes in it and she is a Hindu, is a devotee of Sri Ram and Sri Hanuman. More than that, she believes in herself and she thinks she can achieve anything in her life with little devotion to an external force.

She closed her eyes and did some meditation for some time. After 30 minutes, she went ahead to her kitchen to cook dinner. She is a super cook, her Tina boasts about her talent every time she eats her food.

She has come over here for a sleepover at her place before she got herself a boyfriend. Now she doesn't get time to come and she feels a little sad about it. But, no issues she is happy and all Lasya want is she enjoying her life rather than wasting like herself.

She prepared herself with a bowl full of tasty Spaghetti with Italian herbs that she got from the market during her grocery shopping.

"I love oregano very much. The flavor, when added to food, is just yum... Super delicious." Lasya said looking into her bowl.

After preparing her dinner, she planned to give a quick bath to Ritchie today. She shampooed him with lavender flavor and washed off after some minutes. She dried him with the blower and brushed his hair with his hairbrush. He is so soft and she is sure he will be having a good sleep tonight.

Later she had a shower and had dinner. Without wasting her time, she jumped into her bed, logged into her wattpad and started reading stories till her eyes droop.

She needed a drastic change to her boring life. She wishes almighty bring changes in it soon. Sighing she murmured good sleep to Ritchie and dozed off to welcome a new day tomorrow.

The morning rays hit her like a jolt and Ritchie started licking her toes which made her open her eyes. She woke up early even if it is Sunday. Anyways she doesn't have any big plans for today. Still, she manages to get off from her bed to head to the washroom for completing her morning chores and cleaning work.

She had her breakfast which is eggs, bread, and Orange juice. Ritchie also had his food. And again she surfed the internet for some time and started watching TV shows. Soon the day passed in a blur doing the same thing like - eat sleep and repeat and Monday morning welcomed her with chirpiness of birds, yes u got it right...

This week went very fast and was great altogether for Lasya. She had a hectic work schedule in her three jobs. She is planning to quit one of her jobs now since she has had enough savings now. She guesses she shall manage her life in the future without any struggling for finance.

Duh! Who else doesn't have any big dreams to spend their hard-earned money?
If nobody, it's okay.

But she does have, her biggest one is to visit Switzerland with her love one day. She hopes her wish will be soon come true one day. Huffing and bidding she said bye to her store manager and she started walking towards her apartment to call it a night.

It's Friday night now and she is thinking about what's there to do this weekend.

"Yeah, I have laundry to do of this whole week." She said to herself while walking.

When she was about to reach her colony, one of the street posters got her attention. She narrowed her eyes to read what it's exactly telling her.

It says:
"Spot Admission" to one of the prestigious engineering colleges in the city.

She covered her mouth with her hands due to shock or maybe a surprise. She doesn't expect this kind of ad now since she is not at the right time to join a college and fulfill her dream. She always wished to get into that college for her higher studies. But due to the high fees and donation, she couldn't get through and she just automatically dropped the wish thinking she could never ever make it.

"But now it seems I could". She thought.

She took her phone from her pants pocket and clicked a pic of the ad. She will contact them tomorrow and inquire about it.
Let's see how it goes.

Within 5 minutes, she was inside her apartment and she quickly prepared dinner and got freshen up. She and Ritchie had dinner and later slumped into bed to have a tight sleep due to heavy work.
