Chapter - 34

||Sightseeing around!||

-*-*-*-*-*-*

Morning rays slowly caressed Lasya's face and it made her squirm on the bed. Sighing, she woke up with a smile and sat on the bed closing her eyes.

Slowly, she inhaled and exhaled for her body to revive from the sleepy form.

Opening her eyes, she wondered about yesterday and the event.

'Thank God, we were able to win the trophy. Without your support, we couldn't have achieved it. Thank you again and hoping for your blessings upon us, like this always'

Rubbing her palms, she climbed down the bed and went to do the morning business.

Within half an hour, she was ready for the day.

Today they decided to roam Delhi and its nearby places, as their flight was scheduled for tomorrow evening. Before that, some travel was a must.

'I don't know what he has planned for us, but I hope it is as good as always', Lasya mentally noted.

Excitingly, she looked at the mirror once again for a last-minute check.

She wore a simple white tunic top with blue denim and white sneakers to match it.

"Here I come, Delhi", Lasya said looking in the mirror, giggling.

Lasya took her sling bag and checked the essentials. She made sure she had cash and a card with her as today she was going to spend for them.

Lasya carefully locked the door and kept the room key in her bag safely. She then turned to his room and started knocking it.

-*-*-*-*-*

Shravas on the other side knew who would be there at the door. So in the morning itself, he unlocked the door and kept it open, slightly close for her.

He smirked and messed up his hair even though he was all ready to go. But he wanted to tease her, so pulled his shirt out of the pants and twisted it a bit just to make sure he looked as if he had just woken up.

He jumped into his bed and covered himself with the duvet unable to stop his chuckles.

-*-*-*-*

"Shravas, open the door. It's already late", he heard her calling out.

"It's already open", he hoarsely replied. He was unable to stop smiling, because of what he was doing. But then, all is fair in love and war. So, here you go Lasya. Enjoy and be frustrated for the moment.

Lasya heard him, and she opened the door with a creaking sound and moved towards the bed.

"Shravas!"

She Shouted with all her energy. Lasya couldn't believe what she was seeing. He was still sleeping and had yet to get ready.

'Damn him', Lasya thought.

"What?", he asked sheepishly.

"What what?, You got to be kidding me. We are supposed to meet at 8 and it's 8.15 now. Why are you still in bed?", She kept her hands over her hips and waited for him to answer but instead, she heard him groan.

Since he didn't reply, she continued,

"Are you planning to stay in the room all day? If so, then I am sorry. I am going to roam around and for your information, it's okay if you are not coming. I can go all by myself" " she said and stomped her foot on the ground.

He peeped through the duvet when he slid down it a little bit to see what she was doing. He saw her hands on her hips and waited impatiently for him.

He heard her cursing and murmuring something making a sad face.

But this time, her sad face made him smile happily, as he knew she wanted him to come along with her.

His heart was doing a happy dance seeing her childish antics and wanted to pull her cheeks but then she might get scared away, so at that moment he had that victorious smile on his face and started laughing out loud without being able to control more.

Hearing his laughter, she turned around to look at him. She narrowed her eyes with a cute frown sworn on her face.

"Look..look ...at...you...your face... Oh God, you look so cute", he said stammering a little while laughing.

Clutching his stomach, shaking his head with disbelief he got up from the bed just to witness a scene, an angry lioness waiting for its prey to pounce over.

He audibly gulped and he rubbed the back of his neck giving her a sheepish grin.

She raised her brows crossing her arms above her chest. He understood that she is highly frustrated right now and if he tries to pull her leg more, then he will be a gone case for sure. All his laughter died down, and he searched for words to let her know he was already ready.

"Well, you see", he licked his lips in tension and continued, "I was already ready and I was just fooling you around".

He said as he tucked in his shirt back and set his hair up to one side neatly.

Still, she didn't stop from giving him her angry look, for which he sighed and went close to her.

Within seconds, he was there, standing very close to her. Just a few inches gap between them and both of them could hear their racing heartbeats.

He pulled her shoulders took her in his arms, and held her tightly. After a few minutes, he withdrew himself and looked into her eyes.

"We are friends, so I was just playing around. I am sorry. I just wanted to tease you a little so that I could make you a little angry but then I guess, it was a bit over as you were very excited for the day. Seriously, I am sorry. Also, I didn't think this would hurt you this much", he reasoned looking intently and waiting for her to say something. He could see her contemplating but she didn't say anything, and he started pulling away dejectedly with a sad face.

But all of a sudden, she held his collar tightly and warned him. Shravas breath got hitched and he was stunned to see this side of her. He liked it.

"Don't you dare repeat this kind of stunt with me ever again or else you will see my other side", she whispered slowly with a smirk.

He leaned towards her ear, "I would love to see your other side if you allow me"

She blushed hard, listening to him. Her anger was long gone and something in its place was erupting. Some kind of sensation as they were too close for their good. She immediately left his collar and smacked his arms coming out of his trance.

'What did he mean by that?', Lasya thought.

"Are we going or not? It's already late Shravas", Lasya said adjusting her strand of hair that was falling on her face, and moved near the door.

Sighing intently, he turned to her and replied, "Yeah we will go now. See I am all ready".

Taking his card and wallet, he was ready to go. Shravas locked the room and held Lasya's hand, "Shall we go?"

"Yeah, lead me please", Lasya said looking at their hands.

Chuckling, they went together in the elevator and came downstairs.

"First, we will have breakfast nearby and then we shall start with our sightseeing. What do you say?", Shravas asked.

"That will be a good idea, Shravas. I was about to tell you as I am hungry but then you beat me to it", Lasya giggled.

"Well then"

They walked side by side to a nearby restaurant talking and laughing.

'How easy is it to talk with him? He cares, and concerns and his girl will be the world's luckiest', Lasya wondered.

'You are the best Lasya, I am falling for you even deeper and I will be the luckiest if you accept my love', Shravas thought with a smile as they waited in the restaurant for their food.

The waiter brought their platter, filled with masala roast and idli sambhar.

"So here's your masala roast aka masala dosa", Shravas said and pushed the plate to her side.

"Wow, this looks yummy", Lasya said licking her lips.

Lasya took a bite of it and moaned making Shravas feel something.

"Shh, Lasya please don't do that", Shravas murmured.

Lasya's eyes widened upon realisation and looked around to see people watching her in amusement.

She gulped and drank water to ease her nerves from embarrassment.

"Gosh Shravas. How can I not moan when you have this tasty food? I must say, this masala dosa is damn good. This taste is not something you can get in Bangalore also", Lasya explained shrugging her shoulders for which Shravas slapped his forehead.

Lasya chuckled seeing his antics, "How is idli sambhar?"

"Not bad, but I prefer our Bangalore is good for the South Indian delicacies unlike the north", Shravas replied eating a gallop of idli sambhar.

"Well, I must agree with it. South Indian food is best served in South India only. But still masala dosa, idli sambhar, and all pan India food delicacies, and especially, I think this masala dosa tastes better here than in any south Indian restaurant. Wait, let me give you a piece!", Lasya said and tore a small piece of masala dosa.

She took and dipped it with green chutney and she moved her hand towards his face.

"Come on, open your mouth, and tell me how it is?"

"You want me to feed now", Shravas said in amusement.

"Feed?, I am just letting you taste the masala dosa. What are you, a 5?", Lasya irritatingly lifted her brows.

Shravas chuckled and opened his mouth.

As soon as the masala dosa entered, he could feel the truth of whatever she told him regarding the dosa. It was indeed good and tasted better than any of the South Indian restaurants.

"Lasya, oh my goodness. This tastes good", Shravas said smilingly, wiping his face with the tissue.

"See I told you", Lasya finished the plate and drank her coffee.

"Do you want anything else Lasya?", Shravas asked.

"Nope, I am full and happy", Lasya chuckled.

Shravas nodded his head in understanding, and he called the waiter for the bill.

Within a few minutes, the waiter brought the bill and kept it on the table. Before he could understand, Lasya was fast enough to get a hold of the bill.

"Lasya, give it back to me", Shravas said sternly.

"Nothing doing. I am paying today. Else I am not coming with you", Lasya deadpanned and it did make him shut his mouth from arguing.

"Okay"

"That's my Shravas", Lasya said without thinking.

But Shravas mind was stuck with the word 'my Shravas'. He knew she didn't mean it that way but maybe meant it in a friendly manner. But still, that was enough for him to feel something more for her.

'Lasya, do you even know what you are doing to me?', Shravas gazed at her lovingly.

Lasya kept the cash in the billpad and waited for the change.

"Ok wait here, Let me go to the washroom and come", Shravas said and she nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, the waiter came back with the change, "ye lo change madam"

"Thank you", Lasya smiled and gave him a tip for which he was happy, and "Tell the manager, that the food was indeed tasty, khana bahut acha tha"

"Theek hai madam", the waiter said, and with a smile he left the table.

-*-*-*-*-*

Shravas was coming out of the washroom when he bumped into someone rather than into something.

He murmured a 'sorry', without looking as if he was busy rubbing his forehead.

"It's okay. I didn't mind", he heard a female voice but couldn't recognize whose it was yet he was sure that he had already heard the voice somewhere before so to make sure, he looked above and instantly met her eyes.

She gasped and covered her mouth,

"Vasu!"

"Rani!"

They both exclaimed together. Later they chuckled.

"Hey, Vasu. You are here. Oh my Gosh, I can't believe my eyes. How are you, man? You look more dashing now and I am so happy to see you again after a long time",  she complimented him by forwarding her hand for a handshake.

"Hello Rani, and aww, thank you", he shook his hand with hers by faking interest.

'Why is she here? Out of all the places, Dammit', Shravas mentally groaned.

"By the way, I have come here for some college event. It's over and now I'm heading to roam around the place", he said looking here and there to see if he could spot Lasya.

Rani seemed to notice he was looking for someone.

"Uh ..hm.. you, looking for someone?" She asked looking in the same way as he was looking.

"Yup, my partner", he said nonchalantly.

'Oh God, this girl and her intruding tactics', Shravas slumped his shoulders thinking about it.

This irked Rani and her smile immediately vanished from her face.

Rani Shamrao was his classmate during the school days. Her father was on the railway so often her family was transferred from one place to another.

She was with him in the same school for almost 6 years and she loved him so much. But she couldn't get a chance to confess it.

As she went away from him, they somehow lost contact with each other. But little did he know, she had never moved on from him.

Shravas on the other side knew her feelings for him from the way she acted with him when they were together. But he couldn't reciprocate the same thing back as he didn't have such feelings for her at that time.

Also, he was more interested in studying rather than wasting time.  Also, his parents didn't like the way she was behaving with him, all clingy.

His parents knew it would be a bad idea for him to pursue her as they knew she was going to be all clingy and materialistic because whenever she used to visit him at his home, she was in awe of all the things they possessed and always kept on asking him for the gifts.

So his parents had already warned him not to encourage her to be with him and slowly Shravas also started to watch her actions and demands which were increasing from time to time. This made him so wary of relationships but then maybe luck was with him and her family got transferred to a faraway place thus losing all the connections.

He concluded that she was around him to get materialistic things that he didn't like or appreciate. He wanted love and according to him, it was something you keep even though the said person is not even interested in you.

"Partner? What kind of partner? Is it he or she", She raised her brows and gritted her teeth while asking.

'Clenching her jaw tightly and herself can be a symptom of never-ending obsession', Shravas thought

"Yes, my partner is a girl and she studies at my college. By the way, why are you here?",  Shravas asked changing the topic.

Listening to him, her heart fell but didn't show on her face, "I am residing here in Delhi", she said happily,

"Oh God, don't tell me you have come here for sightseeing!", She said.

"No no, we came here for a college event. A national competition. It was over yesterday. We are free today and tomorrow, so thought it would be good if we could just roam around my partner has never been to places out of Bangalore so it will be good for her, and also I haven't visited here", he said without looking at her instead he was waving his hands to someone else with a smile.

Rani turned to look in the way of him, waving his hands. There she saw a beautiful girl waiting for him eagerly and was waving back at him. She had a smile on her face when she met his eyes.

Rani felt jealously coerced in her blood, making her fume in anger.

'I will help Vasu to roam around so that I can be near him for at least two days. Yes, that will be a good idea', Rani thought.

"Vasu, if you don't mind shall I help you with showing the places around? Cause I have no classes till Monday. What do you say?", She asked coming and standing in front of him blocking his sight. She lied, even though she had classes. She didn't want to lose this opportunity.

This irritated him but maintained himself from bursting out.

"Sure, I will ask my partner first. Because if she is comfortable, then you let us help else we shall cover by ourselves. She is coming here for the first time. And I want it to be the best for her", he said and walked past Rani.

Reaching her, he smiled at her and put his arms around her waist.

Lasya's eyes widened with his sudden touch and her neck started to change its color. She felt hot all of a sudden and ducked her head down to cover the crimson.

"Hey, sorry I caught up with someone", Shravas answered her unasked question.

But he did notice the sudden change in her demeanor.

'What an effect I have got on her?', Shravas danced internally feeling all high.

"Shravas, where were you? I have been looking for you for a long time and it's almost late. Now, we don't want to miss places, do we? So come on, let's get going" " she said and came out of his grip.

"I am sorry", he said.

"When I was coming back, I somehow bumped into one of my old friends", He showed his hand to his side and there she came speaking about the devil, "She is Rani"

Lasya clenched her jaw slightly, but then let it off so as not to create a scene. She didn't like her a bit. The way she was ogling at him, was too much to bear. She also felt a pang of jealousy and her heart constricted with some kind of pain.

'What is happening with me? Why am I feeling jealous? He can have many friends and why am I behaving like this?', Lasya thought warily.

"Hello, Rani. I am Lasya", She forwarded her hand to shake her palms but then Rani ignored her and just said hi and looked at Shravas who didn't miss noticing her behavior.

He felt his anger slowly build up, but by then Lasya touched his palm and blinked her eyes letting him know it was all right.

Sighing himself, Shravas asked uninterestedly, hoping Lasya would deny, "Lasya, if you don't mind, let Rani show us around as she is a resident of Delhi"

Lasya could see the hesitation in his body language as he was continuously rubbing his nape but couldn't understand the reason behind it as she furrowed her eyebrows in a knot and looked at him with confusion.

"Shravas, why would I have an issue with her being with us?" She then smiled at him which is enough to flutter his heart.

"More than that, she is your friend. Anyway, I respect you for asking me first. Thanks. It means a lot",  she blinked her eyes in assurance.

'Oh God, Lasya please say no. I don't want anyone around us, especially this girl. What am I going to do now', Shravas thought sadly.

Slumping his shoulders, he said, "Okay, then".

He took a piece of paper from his pant pocket and gave it to her. Rani looked at him in Confusion.

"It's the list of places we would like to see. Hope you don't mind taking us there", Shravas said nervously.

Upon listening to him, Rani beamed,

"No..nope. I will be happy to show you and...er...your friend all the places. I have my car parked outside the restaurant", she then leads the way to her car followed by Shravas and Lasya.

Lasya could see the uneasiness on his face. She gave him a 'what happened' look to which he just shook his head. She then let it go easily as she thought it might be nothing to be taken seriously.

"Please be here. I will make a call and come back. Because I need to inform my parents to tell them where I am. So they won't be bothered looking for me", Rani said and walked to a secluded corner to make a call.

-*-*-*-*-*

"Lasya, please don't mind her. She is a bit reckless. I hope you understand", Shravas said.

"Arre, it's okay. I understood. Don't mind me asking. You don't seem to like her?", Lasya challenged him.

"She is my classmate but yeah, to be honest, I don't like her at all. She is all clingy and materialistic. I don't like such people and it's been so many years since I met her, and she kind of likes me, it seems and that made her feel maybe a little special", Shravas replied.

"Understood. I guess she has feelings for you. Deny me, if I am wrong?", Lasya looked at him.

"Yes", Shravas couldn't meet her eyes.

"Okay", Lasya left the matter.

"But I don't have any feelings for her. I swear that I never had", Shravas added by answering her unasked question.

"It's okay, you don't have to explain everything to me Shravas", Lasya smiled at him understandingly.

-*-*-*-*

"Hello sir, I need two days off from my classes as something came up at home. I hope I can take two days off my regulars", Rani said to her HOD.

"Oh God, how many offs will you take Rani? I hope you know you are already exceeding the limits and it will be difficult for you to sit in the examination as per the college rules", HOD tried to make her understand.

But Rani is not someone to listen to, "Sir, please. Try to understand it's urgent. Else I wouldn't have taken offs, and no need to worry sir, I am not going to take leaves hereafter. I promise", Rani assured.

"Let's see. Okay, you can take two offs and that is today and tomorrow. But when you are coming the day after tomorrow, bring me a signed letter from your parents stating your absence. Am I clear?", HOD warned.

Rani thought, 'oh no'

"Sure sir. I will get it. Thank you so much", Rani hung up the phone and came back happily near her car.

-*-*-*-*

"What did your parents say?", Lasya asked as she took the passenger seat not giving Shravas a chance to sit beside Rani.

Lasya had a small smile and Shravas was happy as he didn't want to sit near Rani. He is all happy in the rear seat.

Rani was fuming inside, as Shravas sat in the rear seat.

"Lasya, why not sit in the rear seat because it would be good if Shravas sat here in the passenger seat?", Rani smiled sweetly.

"No Rani. I am happy here. I get a vomiting sensation, I mean kind of motion sickness so if I sit in the back and now I don't want to vomit here and destroy everyone's mood", Lasya sweet-talked.

Shravas had a knowing smile and Lasya could see him smiling through her peripheral vision.

"Oh okay", Rani said looking away and she started the car.

"Delhi, here I come", Lasya cooed loudly not caring about the people sitting beside them.

Shravas was heartfelt happy seeing her excitement.

-*-*-*-*-*-*

First, they visited, Sri Laxmi Narayan temple which is very famous. It is good to start the day by visiting the temple. They stayed for a few minutes in the silence of the temple premises and started their journey to the next place.

*-*-*-*-*

Then they visited nearby handicraft shops. There were so many shops that had many varieties from textiles to cosmetics to gifting souvenirs. So they visited one by one and thought to get souvenirs for their friends.

Lasya purchased four beautiful souvenirs, two for her college friends and one for her baby boo, and another one for Tina.

'I hope they will love this', Lasya thought mentally.

Shravas also got something for his family, and Kinshuk, his school friend.

He also got something for Lasya, secretly and he planned to give it once they reached Bangalore.

*-*-*-*-*

Later they visited Akshardham.

The building was so big and beautiful. Once you enter the place, your life will be transformed as the place itself offers you a transforming experience with its tranquil garden with lush greenery and stunning architecture covering the entire place.

The ambiance of the surroundings is so spiritual with cultural ecstasy filling in the space making us feel so proud.

"How beautiful is this place, right Shravas?", Lasya asked looking up at the big wonder.

"Yeah, it is indeed beautiful and we are lucky that we visited the place", Shravas said while standing near her.

They felt content coming here, to the abode of Swaminarayan.

"Shravas, shall we leave?", Rani asked.

"Can we sit here for a few more minutes?", Lasya asked with hesitation.

"Sure. We are not in a hurry. We have lots of time. No Rani, let us sit here for a while", Shravas said and sat beside Lasya.

"Okay", Rani sighed looking at them.

'Is she just a project partner or something more?', Rani wondered not liking their closeness.

Lasya was not doing anything, still, Rani didn't like them being together.

Lasya closed her eyes and sat for a while as it made her feel relaxed.

They sat in complete silence for some time.

*-*-*-*-*

Lasya was the one to stand abruptly, "Okay I guess it will be better if we leave as it is already lunchtime".

"Oh God, is it lunchtime already? Time flew very fast when you were with me, right Shravas", Rani purred like a cat.

Lasya didn't like her at all, but still maintained a neutral face as she didn't want to insult her since she was his friend.

"You know your value, wow", Lasya beamed at her for which Shravas chuckled whereas Rani didn't understand whether it was sarcasm or a direct compliment.

"Let's go to a restaurant and have lunch first. After that we can continue roaming the place", Shravas said.

They got into the car and headed to the restaurant.

They had a small lunch as they didn't have enough appetite because they had enough snacks while walking and roaming the place, especially during the shopping time.

*-*-*-*-*

Lasya was happy as she could visit beautiful places, and he was also there along with her. It made her feel content. But it also made her feel bad as it would be the last trip together.

'She got this chance with him because of a college event. Else why would he take her to travel? No way she will get a chance like this. So this is the chance I should enjoy to the maximum', Lasya thought.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Later they visited Jantar Mantar, the famous observatory. There in olden times, the observatory helped us calculate the movements of our sun, the moon, and other astronomical measures. The major part of the place is deteriorated as it is an old structure from the 17th century, but some parts of the structure are still restored with perfection.

*-*-*-*-*-*

Then they visited Rashtrapati Bhavan, as they allowed the outsiders during that time. It is the house of our President.

The architecture was marvelous and somewhat built in a Neo-classical style. The entrance of the building was grand and looked exactly like a grand palace.

*-*-*-*-*

After touring the place, they headed towards the Lodhi garden.

It was a beautiful British-era public park. There was lush greenery surrounded by roses and other herbs. On one side of the park, there were bonsai plants, and on the opposite side of the park, we could see some tombs.

"Let's sit here Vasu", Rani patted the spot nearby.

Shravas sat there not making any scene.

"Where are you going?", Shravas asked getting up.

"Nope, don't get up please", Lasya said.

"Vasu, let her go. We shall sit here for a while", Rani nudged him.

"Yeah, she is right. I will come right away. Let me roam a bit and come. You guys wait here for me", Lasya said.

"Are you sure? Tell me if you want me to accompany you?", Shravas asked.

"No Shravas. I will be fine. You guys wait and don't go from here. I shall just roam and come. And anyway, we have phones, so I don't think it will be an issue", Lasya adjusted her top and dusted her backside as there was a bit of grass.

"Okay", Shravas said without looking at her.

Lasya knew he didn't like a bit of her going alone. But what to do, she doesn't want to get chained like this. She wanted to roam freely so yeah, that's it.

"Also, I will get something for us to eat", Lasya left saying.

*-*-*-*-*-*

"How are you Vasu?", Rani asked, trying to initiate a conversation.

"I am good Rani. How about you?"

"I am okay", Rani replied.

"What are you doing now? I mean studies?", Rani enquired.

"I am in my engineering final year. What about you?", Shravas turned to her.

"Well, I am completing my degree course in art. I am not that studious so I took the arts subject as I find it easy with my mind easily distracting", Rani knowingly replied.

"Well, that's good too. Arts is also a good subject and I guess you can take plenty of offs then since it is not as tough as engineering or medicine courses", Shravas asked.

"Not easy, but can manage, unlike science. So, what else?", Rani asked, moving near him and keeping her head on his shoulders.

Shravas felt uneasy, but then she was his friend once. So he couldn't tell anything and kept silent.

"Nothing Rani. Life is just happening. So yeah", Shravas said.

"I missed you, Vasu"

"Rani, please. Stop this. Don't start again", Shravas said.

"Why? Are you in love with someone else?", Rani whispered.

"That is none of your business Rani. It will be best if you just stay as a friend. We have already closed that chapter long back, a long time back. I don't want to go back and suture it again", Shravas wiggled and distanced himself from her.

He doesn't want Lasya to see them like this. But little did he know that she had already seen this from the distance which made her heart ache a bit.

"I don't know how to move on Vasu. I know I have never contacted you but you were there in my heart always. And when I saw you today, everything that I kept hidden these years started to nudge me deeply. I hope you understand what I mean", Rani said sadly, looking at him while he was looking down not knowing how to escape from this situation.

"OK, see I will answer your question. You asked me if I love someone. Yes, I am madly, deeply, and forever in love with someone. I don't want to lose her as I have imagined already living my whole life along with her. So yeah, there won't be us anymore. Heck, there were never us before. I have never told you I like you. Then why do you always complicate things, Rani?", Shravas asked raising his brows.

Rani fidgeted her phone and didn't know what to reply to him.

Yes, he is right, he has never confessed that he loves her. He never told her if he liked her or not. Then how come she can conclude this kind of feeling?

"Yes, I understand Vasu. But my heart is not listening to me. What to do?", Rani cried palming her face.

"Hey, Rani. Don't cry, please. You will get a charming man one day. Until then, keep patience. Study hard and earn a name for yourself", Shravas said, and he looked at her but by then he could see Lasya coming back with a smile from a distance.

Shravas sighed and sat there looking at Lasya, 'how beautiful she is and how happy she seemed to be'

*-*-*-*-*-*

Within 20 minutes, Lasya was back.

"Hello, am I missing something?", Lasya asked, looking at Rani's face, concern etching in her voice.

"Nope, nothing at all. We were just talking, right Rani?", Shravas asked sheepishly.

"Yeah, you are right", Rani wiped her face and looked at Lasya without giving away in her face.

But Lasya has already seen her crying for something she didn't understand.  But then since they don't want to share, it is not her place to ask further.

So she just left the matter and offered the packet of chips and juice to them.

They sat silently and started munching on it.

"What are your parents doing, Lasya?", Rani enquired.

Lasya stopped munching her chips, and she lumped her telling her that she was an orphan.

Shravas understood her pain, and before she could answer, he beat her to it, "She doesn't have them. Her parents died, long back in an accident. So she leaves all alone".

"Oh my. I am sorry Lasya. I didn't know", Rani said.

"It's okay. No issues at all. Don't be sorry", Lasya said after a while.

"Where did you go, Lasya?", Shravas asked.

"I just roamed here and there. I went to the other side of the park. I found a huge lake surrounding us. It was beautiful. So I just stayed back there for a few minutes and came back", Lasya answered happily.

"Wow, so are you happy?", Shravas asked.

"Yup, very much", Lasya said excitedly, like a child who just got her favorite candy.

*-*-*-*-*-

"Okay, shall we rest for the day? It's already evening and I am exhausted", Shravas said getting up from the park.

"Yeah, me too. I so want to jump on my bed to get some sleep now. My legs are in pain and I am feeling all tired", Lasya also got up dusting her pants.

"Well then, ok. Let's go", Rani said.

*-*-*-*-*

Rani started the engine and drove them towards their hotel.

"Good night Shravas. I had a great day like our old times. I missed it so much. Thanks once again for making it happen", She jumped out of the driving seat and came to his side to hug him tight.

Lasya felt awkward and jealousy hit her blood like a village being hit by a flood.

Rani didn't acknowledge Lasya which irked her.

But then Lasya couldn't do that now. If she does, what difference will there be between her and Rani? So she bid goodbye to her, sweetly.

"Yup, we too had a great time. Right, Lasya?" He looked at her while pulling away from Rani's hug.

Lasya murmured a yes slowly.

"Good night", Saying this, he took Lasya's hands and dragged them to the lobby of the hotel.

Lasya turned to look at her and she made faces at Rani for her act and was frowning badly. For that, she saw Rani stomping her foot and drove off the car.

'serves it right!', Lasya thought mentally and chuckled at her act a few seconds ago.

They walked in silence, towards their rooms.

Then, they bid good night and both dispersed to their respective rooms.

Once reaching his suite, Shravas couldn't stop laughing when he saw Lasya warning her with her face,  down in the lobby.

'she is my girl. God, how much I am in love with my little hearts. I hope she realizes her love soon', he mumbled himself while taking a shower.

Whereas Lasya was showing all her frustration, anger, and desperation everything on the poor doormat. She was jumping on it and stomping it harshly.

'how dare she take my Shravas? He is mine. I love him. I will show her the place tomorrow. Psycho girl' she thought and took one of her nightwear and went to the washroom.

They called it night by cursing Rani together.
