Chapter - 3(b)
"Gaming avenue"
|Part - 2|
(Continuation of part 1)
"Okay, now let's get in. Already we are late and now I don't want to waste any more time. Come." Saying this kinshuk pulled his friend's hand and started walking towards the entrance.
"Alright. As you say, bro!" Said shravas with a slight chuckle seeing the impatience look his friend was giving him.
Both of them were so engrossed in their talks on their way that they didn't see someone coming from the opposite side and dashed with Kinshuk making them and the other person stumble a bit.
"What the!" Kinshuk was about to curse but stopped seeing the person who was busy staring at him with big wide eyes. Shravas noticed the slight change in his friend's demeanor and furrowed his brows thinking about the possibility and soon turned to the direction to which his friend looking at.
Shravas eyes were wide as saucers and he shook his head with denial as if he did that, the person would disappear from there.
"Why she has to be here after all this time?" Shravas thought and before something could happen he placed his arm over Kinshuk's shoulder to calm him down.
"What are you doing here, Muskaan?" Kinshuk asked getting angry as his voice was everything but calm.
"Look who is talking here. Is this your dad's property? That I can't be here. No right. So you better know what you are talking about and mind your tongue." Muskaan replied irritatingly.
Kinshuk gritted his teeth and was trying himself to calm down. Shravas didn't like the way she was talking and wanted to give her a slap. But that doesn't make any difference as she can't be changed.
If we try to insert a dog tail into a pipe and left it there for some time, and we shall try removing it. Will the tail get straight? No right, likewise she is. Unless she herself wants to change for better no one can do that.
"Well, I can ask you why you are here at this time Muskaan?" Shravas interfered cutting their glances since they were murdering each other with their eyes.
"Uh..um... I was asked to accompany my friend in the game of bowling. So yeah. How are you Shravas?" Muskaan asked nervously as she knows whom she is talking to and tried to change the topic.
But whom she is kidding too. This is shravas we are talking about. He can be very funny and very mean at the same time maintaining his calm aura around.
Shravas's dad owns this gaming avenue for a decade and yes, they are filthy rich that they can even own a state for themselves. But never ever shravas tried to use richness as a power. This time, Muskaan asked for it. Cause who in the same mind will just keep quiet when your friend is being insulted and that in front of you.
"Good for you. So just do what you are asked for. Not like insulting my friend or like that. Cause if I want, I can even throw you out of this avenue within a second. Do you want to try your luck?" Shravas asked as calm as he could all the while wrapping his arm around Kinshuk's shoulder. Whereas kinshuk was looking down with a sad look on his face thinking all the while how come he fell for this evil mean lady and how come he didn't notice her intentions when they were together.
Yes, kinshuk and Muskaan were dating for 4 months and in the 5th month, she started showing her true colors like demanding more money from him, even though his family is not as rich as Shravas's but was good with a brand of hotels. Kinshuk's family runs a chain of restaurants across the city.
Along with demanding money, she even tried to separate from his friends creating misunderstandings and more than that, distracting his mind from the studies and this made him turn depressed as the exams were nearing by. Soon shravas found out the reason for his odd behavior and helped him in every way possible.
He also helped him to see the true colors of Muskaan being cheating on his other friend from school who was richer than him. This irked him and he is now trying to focus on his career and want to build his own brand of hotels one day making her see his worth.
"No...i am waiting for my friend," Muskaan said hesitatingly cause she knows there is no use to argue with him as he is right.
"Fantastic. Wait for your friend then. Now I don't want you to bother my brother. Did you hear me?" Shravas said rising his left brow challenging her to say anything. It did well as she kept nodding her head. "Okay, before going away from here. Ask sorry to my friend. At least he deserves one. Reasons two, one of them is for throwing a few insults just a few seconds before and another reason, well you know better than me. So, a good sorry is what I recommend."
Muskaan face went pale and she somehow composed and nodded her head in agreement with shravas.
"I am sorry Kinshuk for everything that I did and said to you. Please if possible, forgive me." Muskaan asked softly looking at him with hope, he would forgive her.
Hurt will always be there even though if we forgive. But we will never be able to forget the things someone said and made us feel though.
"Never hurt anyone knowingly cause you never know how to be in his or her place" - my own quote.
Kinshuk just looked at her once and turned to another side. Shravas asked Muskaan to leave and as soon as she left the place kinshuk had tears falling from his eyes and tightly hugged his friend.
"Hey, it is alright. Everything is over now. You have to be strong always." Shravas whispered slowly and pulled away from the hug. He looked at his kiddos friend and said, "I know you are a little childish but that doesn't mean you have to prove it by crying like a baby."
Kinshuk let out a loud chuckle hearing him calling as a baby. "Hey"
Shravas smiled at him and wrapped his arm around the shoulder and they walked ahead to the bowling section of the avenue. Their friends and old friends are already gathered and were waiting for them to have a bowling match.
It's a bet actually between Kinshuk's old friend, now turned rival cause he found him cheating with his girlfriend once upon a time. Thereafter they have become tough enemies who would do anything just to show off in front of each other.
So this bet too. Kinshuk somehow has to win the bet else his image would tarnish in front of his so-called enemy and his girlfriend - Muskaan.
"Look who is here" Jason exclaimed.
Shravas was getting irritated by all the behavior since he has landed here. "God, what's this. Drama is not at all getting over. Where the hell am I stuck?" Shravas let out a sigh thinking mentally.
"Jason, enough of this. We are here for play. Not to listen to your meaningless banter. Also, I appreciate a modest behavior from everyone here else you all know what I can do to have a pleasant atmosphere and please don't try me in this matter." Shravas said calmly looking at everyone and especially pinpointing at Jason who was really didn't like the way he is telling him.
"Let's the game begin and yeah, I have a dinner date with my family tonight. So, I will have to go very soon." Shravas added shrugging his shoulders.
Kinshuk had a hidden smile on his face looking at Jason's face.
After small refreshments, they started playing the bowling game and for the first half, Jason was leading whereas kinshuk was least bothered. But on the other hand, shravas was tongue-tied looking how well Jason was playing...
"What's happening kin? Where is your concentration gone now? You are losing and it seems you are very happy being on a losing side." Shravas asked irritatingly running his hands over his hair.
"Chill bro. The ball is in our court. Let's see what happens next." Kinshuk said smirking at him and left to throw the bowl as it was his chance.
After a play of an hour, kinshuk did win the bet making Jason gasp and Muskaan throwing a dozen glares at him. Kinshuk sent a flying kiss over her and mouthed, "F*ck you"
Seeing this shravas had big laughter that could hurt a stomach. Cause he didn't know this was coming...
"Superb kin. You did win the bet. I am so proud." Shravas said and hugged him tightly.
After the match, they all went into the small court to have snacks and beverages...
"Vasu, let's go to Olympics Cafe. I want to have that black truffle cake now." Kinshuk whined like a small boy once they seated near the counter.
Shravas narrowed his eyes at him and looked at him with accusations.
"Please, please...I so want to eat that. Also, today is my day. You will have to listen to me whatever I have or want to say." Kinshuk said while doing hands actions in air.
"Well, kin. When did I even not listen to you?" Shravas asked raising his brows trying to look all serious but failed eventually when kinshuk started laughing at him.
"Oh my, you don't know how to look angry. So don't even try. You look like a joker." Kinshuk is exasperated.
"Why? Joker too has emotions...cause he is also a human. Have you watched a joker movie? It tells you how one goes through emotionally when they are trolled for their looks or profession." Shravas started being serious.
"I am sorry Vasu. I didn't mean you to go so deep into that psychological movie now. It has already cut you deep and now I don't want you to say any more things related to it as I don't like that movie. And yes, Joaquin has acted flawlessly but that doesn't mean I would appreciate the movie. I am happy and good with my own set of rom-com." Kinshuk said taking his backpack.
Shravas had a winning smile on his face. He doesn't like anyone taunting that movie for any sake. Both of them then drove towards the Olympics cafe happily...
