Continuation of chapter 2(a)

(At the supermarket)

She says to an old lady who seems to eat her brain ever since she has given her the items to bill and she, on the other hand, started to search her wallet for money.
Why are these old people out here, when they have kids at their homes to buy for them?

"I guess she has some issue with her sight. Cause I am able to see the required currency in her wallet, I don't know why she is taking a lot of time." She mumbled herself leaning towards her wallet.

There are lots of customers waiting for their items to get billed behind this lady. Lasya heaved a sigh With frustration and she took the wallet from her hand

"I am sorry Ma'am, let me help you with that" saying so she helped her to retrieve the amount needed to pay for which the old lady smiled at her. 

"There you go the bill slip and the 50 rs balance Ma'am, thanks for visiting our shop. Come again." She said giving the slip and a coupon for the next purchase. The old lady smiled at her and collected the baggage

"Thanks, darling, I just have some problem with my eyes and I forgot to put on the spectacles so only had an issue with giving u the money". The old lady reasoned.

She nodded her head in understanding with a smiling face and waved a bye to her. She always respects customers because they are king. Without them, the employers are a big zero. She meant it's highly impossible to sustain in the competitive business world.
Indeed, the customer is a king! In any business.

After a long day, finishing the shift time taking her backpack and she strides away to outside the entrance to reach home. Ritchie was waiting for her and started trailing her behind. Lasya had a smile reaching the apartment and after all, it's sleeping time. This was a day in her nonstop life journey.
Who will not enjoy this sleeping hour?

Once she reaches home, she quickly took a fast shower and changed to her night suit. She prepared some juice and boiled instant noodles for her dinner. She switched on the small TV and settled herself up on the couch for watching some shows.

She is a big fan of English tv shows, especially 'how I met your mother' and 'the big bang theory'.

"I could never get myself over from." She said to herself excitedly.

After eating, she placed the dishes into the dishwasher and cleaned the mess created some time ago in the kitchen. She also poured milk and some dog food into Ritchie's bowl. He ate it happily and went inside the bedroom to sleep. He sleeps next to her but on the floor.

She adjusts the room curtains and quickly jumps into the bed to have a much-needed sleep. Within no time, she was falling into a deep slumber with hopeful dreams. But, before falling into a deep sleep, she hears her phone ringing in the nightstand where she has placed it for charging.

She groans internally and got up from the bed to look at the caller id to check who is disturbing her at this hour.

"It's my one and only friend Tina calling me," she said frowning looking at the phone.

Tina is her colleague from her first workplace and she is her good friend. She works there as a full-time employee unlike her. She is full of energy person and she does only one job and the rest of the time she is with her boyfriend. She goes to the club and booze.

But she never ever compelled her to drink or do something which is not right. She believes in freedom and individual space. Yes, she gives her that. Tina has also helped her in molding her life for the last two years.

"I am wondering what happened to her that she is calling me now." She thought to herself shaking her head to attend the call or not. 

Tina is an independent and very positive minded woman, working to help herself and her mom to live a good life. Her mom is working as a housekeeper for some rich family on the outskirts of the city and she visits her once in a month. Her mom stays there in the employee's quarters. Tina's mom considers lasya as her own daughter and She treats her as a sister more than as a friend.

"I like her no, cut it. I just love her a lot." She said to herself smilingly.

Sometimes Tina can be annoying but sometimes she is the remedy for all her problems. She is a problem solver in her life.

Tina has a boyfriend for one year and they are enjoying their life to their fullest just not like her boring life and they are soon gonna get married.
Anyways you should not compare with anyone. It's not good. Everyone has their own life, it's what we call as fate!

She sighed and adjusted herself over the headboard of the bed and attended the call.

"Hey La, where were you? I called u several times in the evening. Why u didn't attend my call?" She goes on ranting her over the phone.

Due to her loud voice Lasya moved her phone a little away from her ear cause she love herself more and she doesn't want any problem with her ears now. That's the last thing she wishes, for now, to happen in her already boring life.

Lasya let out a giggle and brought the phone near to her.

"Wait wait, Tina. Let me explain and then you shall continue bantering me. okay, the thing is that I didn't check my phone as I was busy doing household chores. Later I got ready for the other work. So only I couldn't check and didn't see ur calls." She said.

She knows she understands her well more than anyone so she hopes her temper level is reduced by now.

"Well okay then. I understand. It's okay. It's just that I was a little worried for you as you never denied my calls so I got little concerned anyways leave it."
Tina said and Lasya chuckled hearing her reply.

"Thanks, dear for being there and btw I didn't see u today at work, what happened suddenly" asking this she drank some water from the nearby bottle.

"Always will be, and I just wanted an extra day off so took it and I am sorry I didn't inform you prior" she lets out a small giggle which makes Lasya smile.

"It's okay dear. I hope you have enjoyed your day off." She checked her since she heard some shuffling sounds from the other side of the phone and she can understand Tina is with her boyfriend tonight.

Lasya let out an internal groan.

"Hell yeah! A lot and Hey, tomorrow is Saturday shall we meet up at the Olympics cafe, I have something to tell you?" Tina asked.

Lasya placed her finger under her chin to think if there is anything to be done tomorrow. Also, she seems to be very excited about the meeting.

"I don't think I have something to do at home." Lasya thought mentally. 

"Hey I don't have any issue, I am free already and I am already done with my laundry so yeah, we shall meet up at 11 am what say?"

Tina instantly replies "sure thing. I will see you tomorrow then at sharp 11 in the Olympics cafe ok"

Lasya nod her head.
Off ho. Can she see you?

She just slapped her forehead for her childish behavior since she is on the phone how can she see her if she just nods her head.

"sure, dear. Btw what's the issue? Hope everything is okay with you?" Lasya is concerned now wondering what might be the thing she has to say to her.
Lasya is very eager now.

"Everything is fine and just wanted to see you personally and will tell you tomorrow okay be cool and nothing to worry about" Tina assures her and that's all she needs to hear.

"Okay, then Tina. I will see you in the morning. Goodnight" she says and cuts the call and plugged it again in the socket for charging and place it in her nightstand.

She feels happy for Tina and she can feel her immense happiness in her voice. She wishes she remains happy ever throughout her lifetime. She is now wondering what's that important matter that she is so excited about!

"Let me guess, maybe she received a promotion or maybe her boyfriend let the wedding date out or maybe she is pregnant? Could that be the reason? Maybe. These days Bangalore has become mini New York. Anyways I am eager to meet her tomorrow and now itself I am not able to sleep thinking about our meeting" she talked to herself frowning a bit.
Oh God, she doesn't think she will be able to sleep today but did she forget that she has worked hell lot today.

Lasya is a very curious person and she hates surprises cause it eats her brain and she ends up rolling all over her bed due to her curiosity.
Urgh, this irritates lasya to the hell. What are friends for hahaha!

"Why can't she tell me about the Matter now itself? Why she is dragging it like a rubber band? She knows very well that I don't like waiting and then why?" She murmured herself again against her pillow and she continued to talk herself to which Ritchie started gawking at her as if he as seen some kind of alien. "Even if I call back her, she is not going to tell me; so it's better to try to get some good sound sleep."

Later, she pulled herself in the duvet and fell fast asleep waiting for the next beautiful day because of the tiredness.
