Ruby POV

Eventually, everyone had become accustomed to me being home. Mom had signed me up for online schooling. And did home schooling until then. I was quite fussy about it a lot. I didn't like school and I hated it even at home too, where I could snack and wear whatever I wanted. "Focus." She said as my brother screeched like a dinosaur and waddled down the halls. He seemed to like dinos. I grinned as he fell over and giggled at him. Then he turned around and stuck his tongue at me and ran. I almost got up but mom grabbed me and stopped me from chasing him around the house and getting side tracked.

Dad came home. "Hey dad." I said on my phone. Sitting on the couch. "Hey.." he said quite tiredly. But a new message appeared so I didn't ask. I just kept typing to my friends with a smile plastered on my face. My younger brother coming out of his room. I was 15 now, and he was 9. He hopped on the couch and tried to read over me. "Hey! Buzz off!" I said at him as a warning. But he insisted. "I said," my hand turned into a ball, "Buzz. Off!" I have him a solid shove onto the floor and he got up and ran away giggling. I growled and went back to my phone. 10 new messages.... I thought.  They just cant get enough of me.

H.O.R.N: Brother?

H.A.L.O: Yeah, hes so annoying.

H.O.R.N: Lol. My sis is old enough not to do that.

H.A.L.O: Lucky...

H.O.R.N: Wanna meet at the park again?

H.A.LO: Sure. Lemme just sneak away from my over protective parents.

H.O.R.N: Sucks.

H.A.L.O: Understatement. But whatever. Be there in 10.

I smiled and got up, quietly opening the front door and leaving. Putting in my ear buds and walking to the park. When I got there my friend Nova was already there. He was a guy, with raven black hair and dark brown eyes. But he was nice. I grinned and sat on a swing with him in the other. "You sure took your time." He teased, and I gave him a light punch on the shoulder. "Oh shut up you," I smirked "We both know you've been late before too." He smiled back. "True." I started swinging instead of just sitting on them, "Hows your sis?" He scoffed, "Not gonna ask about me first?" I shook my head, "Girls gotta stick together." We both stared at each other for a minute before laughing. And I started to swing, "Well, shes alright, hows the brother." I groaned, "What about me?" He smirked and swung higher than me, giving me a cocky hair flip with his fluffy hair. "Guys gotta stick together," I caught up to his height. "Touche."

We both were kinda just sitting there. "Parents are strange..." I nodded, "Ours have never met." We both stared at the sky under the shade of a tree. The grass on out back as we laid down. "Whats your parents names anyway?" I asked him. "Gabe and Amelie." I let put a small Hm, the names sounded familiar. "What about you?" I perked up, "Oh, Genji and Angela." His eyes glinted, and also did a Hm. "What?" He shrugged, "Genji is a strange name," I punched his shoulder. "So is Nova." We both giggled, "At least I'm not named after a small gem, I'm named after space and stuff." I giggled even more, "You don't even know what a Nova is do you?" He nervously shook his head with a sheepish smile, and I sighed, "A Nova is a star that's brighter than all the rest, but eventually becomes like all the other stars." He stared at the sky. "I wonder why they would name me that..." I shrugged. "Dunno... like you said. Parents are strange." He had a gentle smile.  "Very..."
