Legend 4: You Again!?
-Abandoned Trail-4 Days Later-
"He's late." Y/N muttered, an irk mark on her forehead as she stood beside Akio.
"It's fine Y/N, he probably got stuck with Ik-Su-san, so just calm down." Akio stretched, sitting on the ground in a relaxed manner.
"He's never two days late, though, Akio." Y/N scowled.
Sighing, the (H/C) female grabbed her bag. "Come on, better go make sure the poor fools are still alive." she stated, walking off of the practically abandoned trail and into the forest.
"W-wait, Y/N!" Akio called out, quickly picking up the two bags he was carrying and running after the shorter female.
Finally approaching the small hut, Y/N noticed the dress-like outfit of the person she was looking for. Dropping her bag, the (H/C) female ran towards the person. "Yoon-kun!" she yelled, kicking the basket that he was carrying, and karate chopping his head.
"Baka! How dare you leave us waiting for two days straight while you're here making food!" Y/N angrily yelled, as the sandy blond haired male rubbed his sore head and glared back at the female.
"Hah!?" a sudden yell caused the two to stop their glaring contest, and Y/N's eyes widened as she stared at the two familiar people.
"Y-You again!?" Hak shouted, pointing his finger at Y/N and Akio, who had just walked up to the scene carrying the bag Y/N had disgarded.
"Are you both following us?" Hak squinted at the twins.
"Don't be full of yourself Komoi-kun." Y/N puffed out her cheeks in a cute pout and crossed her arms over her chest. "We just so happened to be trading buddies with your host."
"I'm not a host! They're just staying here until the big guy is healed!" Yoon defended himself.
"Huh?" Y/N blinked, then noticed the bandages that covered Hak. "What the hell did you do to yourself?" Y/N growled, poking the poor male's side as he flinched.
"They fell from a cliff." Yoon answered.
"What were you two doing on a cliff?" Akio smiled awkwardly as he sweatdropped.
"We were attacked by the Fire Tribe." Yona spoke up.
"Really?" Akio questioned, obviously surprised.
Y/N sighed, and picked up the three bags. "Well it's a good thing we got here when we did then, I brought some herbs you can use on Komoi-kun." Y/N stated, opening one of the bags and pulling out a few baskets filled with varieties of plants.
"I also brought a new coat for Ik-Su-San, where is he anyways?" Akio stated as he pulled out a clean, white coat.
"Who knows, he disappeared some time in the night. Though, now that I think about it, we should probably find him." Yoon sighed, picking up the basket that had been knocked out of his hands, and was caught by Hak, who had eaten what was left in it.
"Let's split up." Akio suggested.
____Quick Time Skip____
"Have you guys found him?" Yoon asked as the four of them met back up.
"No, and I'm guessing you guys haven't either." Y/N sighed as Hak and Yoon shook their heads.
"Where's Yona-hime?" Akio asked, glancing around.
"She went to check the waterfall, maybe that's where the stupid priest is." Yoon stated.
The four then walked to the waterfall, stopping when they saw Yona speaking with Ik-Su.
"If you wish to live an honest life and cannot stop the hot blood in your veins, I will convey the voice of God to you." Ik-Su said, obviously speaking to Yona, as if he didn't know that the others were now there as well.
Ik-Su then put his hands together, as if about to pray, and began to speak once again. "When darkness falls upon the land, the dragons' blood will restore life once more. In accordance to the ancient pact, when the five are gathered, the sword and the shield that protect the king will awaken. The red dragon will return at dawn." It was quiet for a minute, and the five watched as Ik-Su suddenly tipped over, looking exhausted.
"Geez..." Akio sighed loudly.
"Conveying God's voice requires spirtitual strength..." Ik-Su stated.
"Quit acting so old, you pain." Yoon said, poking the poor clumsy priest.
"I don't know what this buisness is about dragons or gods, but I'm not buying anything that this crackpot is selling." Hak stated, earning a wack on his head from Y/N.
"He's not selling anything." both Y/N and Yoon spoke in sync as they scowled.
"Does the 'red dragon' in the prophecy mean the mythological king?" Yona questioned as Yoon and Akio helped dust off Ik-Su.
"You're familiar with the kingdom's creation myth?" Ik-Su questioned, sounding surprised.
Yona smiled and nodded. "The red dragon god took on human form, descending from heaven to rule a kingdom on earth. He was the first king of Kouka, King Hiryuu. My father used to tell me about him all the time." Yona said, and Y/N could sense the sadness in the princess's voice as she spoke of her father.
But once King Hiryuu became human, he eventually had to fight humans. The people's hearts filled with evil. They forgot their god, and their country fell to ruin, even when King Hiryuu was captured by humans who desired power, and even when everything seemed on the brink of destruction, four dragons descended from heaven.
Hiryuu rejected their offer to kill the humans who had captured him. He had stated that he was now a human, and even though they were evil, he couldn't help but to love them. The dragons loved Hiryuu, as well, and did not wish to loose him. In order to protect Hiryuu, they gave their blood to human warriors, and granted them strength. One gained sharp claws that could tare anything apart.
One gained eyes that could see across great distances.
One gained legs that could jump high in the sky.
One gained a strong body that could never be injured.
The dragons made them swear to protect King Hiryuu at any cost, to love him and to never betray him. With the power of the dragon gods, the warriors led their clans to protect Hiryuu, and brought order to the kingdom. Before long, the red dragon grew tired of fighting, and fell asleep.
The mission of the four dragon warriors thus ended. They thought of their king no longer moving, and wept. They did not know whether they grieved the loss of someone precious, or if it was the dragon blood within them that grieved Hiryuu's death.
Realizing their power was beyong human control, the four dragon warriors left their tribes and disappeared. The tribes that they left behind continued to grow on their own, forming the five tribes of today.
"The kingdom's creation myth...But what does that have to do with me?" Yona questioned.
"You said you wanted to live, correct?" Ik-Su questioned.
"Hai." Yona nodded.
"But you cannot live on your own, if you leave this place, your life will be in danger again." Ik-Su explained. "You have Master Hak supporting you, however, at this rate, Master Hak will die."
"Hey wait, don't just assume I'll die. I can't hear the voice of God. I'm not-" Y/N and Yoon both punched Hak's side, causing him to cringe and fall over in pain, making him unable to finish his sentence.
"As you can see, the situation is grave." Ik-Su whispered to Yona. "You need allies."
"But who?" Yona tilted her head.
"You must search for the other four dragon warriors." Ik-Su answered.
"You mean the four dragon warriors from the legend?" Yona tilted her head, before sparkles surronded her. "They exist?! They really exist!?" she asked, looking like an excited child.
"Yeah right, they're from the age of legend." Hak butted in, only to feel something thrown at the back of his head. "O-Oi!"
"The dragons are as real as you are, Hak." Y/N lazily stated as she picked up her shoe.
"They live quietly in this kingdom, with the dragon blood that they had inheirited." Ik-Su nodded in agreement. "They will lend you their strength." he said as Y/N stood beside Akio.
"Priest....I don't want Hak to die, but I'm not sure the legendary dragons will lend their strength to one such as me." Yona frowned, looking unsure.
"You'll never know till you ask." Akio grinned, cocking his head to the side.
"If you find the dragons, it will not be your wish, it will be God's will." Ik-Su stated. "However, only heaven can show you the way, and you must walk the path yourself." Ik-Su said.
Y/N noticed the determination in the princess's violet irises, causing an invisible smirk to cover her lips.
-The Priest's Cottage-Night-
Y/N walked between Akio and Hak. "Should we split up to find her? It might make it easier." Akio stated.
"But what if one of you get lost, I defiantly don't want to save L/N-chan." Hak bluntly stated.
"I don't need your saving, stupid Thunder Beast." Y/N growled, using the name that she'd heard some of the civilians from the Wind Tribe call him.
"Hmph." was Hak's only reply, before walking away.
Y/N growled, glaring in his direction. "I'll go in this direction, why don't you go make sure Hak-san doesn't get into any more trouble, he's hurt enough as it is." Akio said, smiling as he placed a hand on his sister's shoulder.
"Fine." Was all Y/N said as she waved her hand and walked away from her brother and after the mummy-like giant.
Nearing a river, Y/N saw Yona standing, holding onto a beautiful looking hairpiece. Before Y/N could call out to the young princess, she yelped as she was suddenly pulled down.
"That wasn't very nice, Komoi-kun." Y/N growled as she glanced at the dark haired male, who put a finger to her lips and shushed her.
Y/N grumbled under her breath, but stayed quiet as the two watched Yona. Y/N kept her silver eyes on the female, watching as it looked like she was going to throw the hairpiece into the river, before cluthing it to her chest.
What is that? Y/N wondered, but seeing the harsh gaze on Hak's face made her realize it must have something to do with Soo-Won. Y/N then watched as Hak stood up and walked towards the red haired female.
"Princess?" Hak said.
Y/N hid a laugh as the tall male was suddenly shoved by the red head.
"Hak, don't! You should lie down!" Yona shouted, before the two collapsed on the ground.
Y/N stayed in her hiding spot, aware of the silver haired male who crouched down beside her.
"I'm all better now." Hak stated. "I'm not going to die." he added.
Yona looked as determined as before, Y/N noticed, as she kept her eyes only on the red haired female.
"Hak, I want to meet the people with the dragon blood." Yona told him seriously.
"Why meet them?" Hak questioned, as if bored. "They might not exist, and if they do, they might not even become your allies."
"I'll worry about that then." Yona pouted. "At this rate, I can't even leave this place. I want to move foreward somehow. I will become stronger." she stated, sounding determined. "Please teach me how to use a sword and a bow, I'll learn." Yona stated with a straight face. "I don't want to die in this absurbed state."
Y/N glanced at Akio, chuckling silently as she saw the admiration in his sparkling (E/C) orbs.
As Y/N turned back to look at the princess and Hak, she rolled her eyes as Hak had obviously said something to make the princess happy. "Don't get too close." Hak said as Yona patted his head.
"Why?" Yona cluelessly asked.
"Because it's annoying." Hak stated, smacking her hand away.
"What?" Yona scowled.
"Oh no, you're getting wrinkles." Hak said with a serious expression.
"Nani!?" Yona gasped.
"If you keep getting angry all the time, you'll end up looking like a wrinkly old woman." Hak teased.
"Hak! You can't just say that to a woman!"
"Y/N-chan!? How long have you been here!?" Yona shouted in surprise.
"Around the time you landed on mummy-man."
"Akio-kun too!?"
"Hai!"
"Don't say it so cheerfully, baka! We obviously surprised her!"
"Owie, Y/N, you hurt me!"
"Good!"
"I thought you were only mean towards Hak!"
"No, I just hate him more."
"Don't say that so bluntly L/N-chan!"
"Shut up Komoi-kun!"
