Ch.8: Babysitting the Kitten and her Prince!
(A/N:Please read my new story Little Dragon Warriors, which is a Yona of the Dawn/Akatsuki no Yona x Reader story. =^.^=
Sort of spoiler: For this chapter, let's pretend that Kirimi is still afraid of Nekozawa.)
-Fujioka Household-Sunday-Day 27-
The next day Y/N had woken up later than usual.
As the (H/C) female walked out of the room she had eventually begun to share with Haruhi, after placing in a second mattress, she walked into the kitchen, oblivious to the group of males that were sitting in the living room.
As she grabbed a cup of already made (coffee/tea), Y/N yelped in surprise when she turned around and bumped into someone's chest.
Glancing up, Y/N sighed loudly. "Good morning Mori-senpai." She said, taking a sip of her drink. "Are the others here as well?" She asked him.
"Yeah." Mori nodded.
"Alright, did you need something?" Y/N questioned, glancing around, before noticing the platter of pancakes. "I'm guessing Honey-senpai's hungry." She smiled, then held up the plate. "He can have mine, I'm not hungry."
Mori looked unsure, but before he could refuse to take the female's food, Y/N had already walked out of the room with the plate, and handed it to Honey.
"Yay! Thank you N/N-chan!" The blonde cheered, oblivious with the food having actually been for her, and beginning to eat the cake-like substance.
"Good afternoon little sister!" Tamaki smiled as Y/N sat inbetween him and Kyoya on the couch.
"Morning." Y/N said, taking another sip of her drink.
"Are you going somewhere today Y/N?" Haruhi questioned, noticing how Y/N was already dressed and ready to go somewhere.
The question got all of the hosts to turn towards her.
"Yeah, I'm helping a friend babysit his little sister." Y/N answered.
"I didn't know you had any friends other than us." Hikaru stated. "Yeah, I always thought you were working on your Time Machine when you're not with us." Kaoru nodded in agreement with his older brother.
"I've actually known him for awhile, we're like pen pals." Y/N shrugged. "Anyways, I should start heading over there now, can you tell Ranka-san that I'll be a bit later for dinner today, Haru-nii?" Y/N smiled at the brunet, who looked surprised, before nodding.
"Sure." He agreed.
"Great, thanks Haru-nii, bye guys." Y/N waved to the others, before getting up and walking out of the apartment and heading towards her location.
~*~
The young eight year old giggled as she hid in the large maze behind the large building of the Middle School.
"They'll never find me here!" She stated with a proud expression as she sat down beside a bunch of (F/F)s.
"Why would you not want someone to find you?" A quiet voice questioned, causing the female to quickly sit up and look around frantcially.
"Who's there?!" She questioned, not looking one bit afriad, just startled.
Slowly a young boy wearing a dark cape emerged, a cat hand puppet on his hand. "I-I am." He stuttered out, looking slightly shy as his blue orbs locked on the female's (E/C) ones.
"Who're you?" the female tilted her head in a curious manner.
"N-Nekozawa Umehito." He answered.
The female beamed and held out her hand. "I'm Y/N, will you be my friend, Nekozawa-san?"
~*~
Y/N smiled as she walked up to the mansion gates, pressing a button on the box that was connected to the house.
"Hello?" a woman's voice questioned.
"Hello, I'm Fujioka Y/N, I'm friends with Nekozawa Umehito." Y/N spoke clearly.
After a few seconds, there was a loud beep, before the black iron gates opened, making it able for Y/N to walk through and go up to the front door.
Almost immediately, the door was thrown open and Y/N was pulled into a hug, causing the female to laugh.
"Nice to see you too, Neko-kun." Y/N said, hugging the cloaked male back.
~*~
"A-are you sure about this, Y/N-chan?" the hooded male questioned as he peeked into the kitchen.
"Of course I'm sure! Have I ever steered you wrong before Neko-kun?" the (H/C) female questioned.
"Yes." The boy answered almost instantly.
"Don't worry about it too much, Neko-kun, I've done much more dangerous things than this." The girl assured, before climbing onto the counter and standing on her tip toes to reach one of the really high shelves, before squealing when she accidently tripped and fell back, only to land on something soft.
"A-ah, sorry Neko-kun!" she quickly apologized, only to be shocked when the blue eyed male lauged and ruffled her hair.
"It's ok, you always are the one to be clumsy, Y/N-chan." He laughed as he patted her head.
~*~
"So where's Kirimi-chan?" Y/N questioned the dark male.
"She's in her room." Nekozawa answered.
"Mm.." Y/N smiled and grabbed Nekozawa's hand, the only that didn't have Beelzenef, and pulled him up the many steps, and went through the familiar twists and turns to the youngest Nekozawa's bedroom.
Y/N knocked on the door, before peeking in. "Kirimi-chan?" She questioned, before grunting when she was suddenly tackled into a hug.
"Y/N-hime!" the blonde female squealed in happiness.
"K-Kirimi-chan." Y/N stuttered out in suprise, a small blush appearing on her face. "I'm not a princess, you know." she said, poking the younger female's nose, causing the blonde to giggle.
"I know, Y/N-hime, but it suits you because you're so pretty!" the blonde cheerfully said, before glancing up and her blue orbs widened, before she rushed into her room, slamming the door behind her.
Y/N frowned and glanced in the direction that had seemed to upset the young female, and she sighed when she saw Nekozawa.
~*~
"What do you mean she's still afraid of you? Neko-kun, you're really cool!" The (H/C) female stated, looking upset because her best friend was also upset.
"Yeah, well she doesn't think that..." the small boy sighed, folding his arms over his chest and puffing his cheeks out in a cute, childish pout.
"Don't worry Neko-kun, I'll help get Kirimi-chan to like you, just you wait and see!"
~*~
"Maybe we should just give up, Y/N-chan." Nekozawa sighed after yet another failed attempt in the last two hours of Y/N trying to help Kirimi get over her fear of her ominous looking brother.
"Give up? I don't give up and you know that, Neko-kun." Y/N stated, pulling out her phone.
"What are you doing, Y/N-chan?" Nekozawa cautiously questioned.
"Calling for some professional help." Y/N answered simply.
____Quick Time Skip___
"My my, Umehito-sama, you're suddenly really popular today, aren't you?" A maid said as she walked into the gothic themed bedroom that Y/N and Nekozawa were lounging around in.
As the two glanced at the doorway, Y/N scowled at what she saw.
"I'm here Y/N-chan~" Renge proudly stated.
"I see that, Renge, but why the hell are they here?" Y/N questioned, pointing at the seven males who stood behind the otaku female.
"We heard that you were in trouble, little sister!" Tamaki exclaimed.
"It's not me who's in trouble, Tamaki-senpai, but my friend." Y/N stated, motioning to where Nekozawa was sitting on his bed, but had somehow managed to come up behind Tamaki.
"Hello Suoh-kun." he eerily stated, causing the blonde to become as pale as a sheet of paper.
"N-Nekozawa-senpai!?" Tamaki shouted, obviously startled.
"Neko-chan is your pen pal, N/N-chan?" Honey questioned as he bounded over to Y/N's side.
"Hai." Y/N smiled and nodded. "I've known Neko-kun since I was eight-years old." Y/N explained to the hosts. "And I only requested Renge-chan to come because I know she's good at helping character's develop."
"Are you implying that Nekozawa-senpai needs to change his character?" Kyoya questioned, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
"I'm not!" Y/N declared. "I love Neko-kun in every way because of who he is! I just thought that with Renge's help we can help him get the affection he deserves from Kirimi-chan!" She stated, oblivious to the blush that covered Nekozawa's cheeks when she mentioned the word 'love' and the glares of a few of the hosts.
"Excuse me for asking, but who is Kirimi-chan?" Haruhi asked curiously.
"My imouto." Nekozawa answered, quite glumly might I add.
"Kirimi-chan has always been afraid of Neko-kun." Y/N explained. "The two of them are complete opposites, where Neko-kun has a health condition where he can't be in the light, and Kirimi-chan hates the dark. The maid here likes to say that it's like a Romeo and Juliet type of ordeal."
"But Romeo and Juliet isn't anything like this at all." Haruhi bluntly stated.
"I know." Y/N sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Though, Kirimi-chan had fallen in love with the image of her princely big brother, the painting in the entrance on the stairwell you've probably seen, that is Neko-kun."
"So she doesn't know you're her big brother?" The twins questioned Nekozawa.
"That's so sad." Honey teared up.
The scenery suddenly turned dark as the focus was on Nekozawa kneeling infront of a dark alter. "Yes, that is why I pray every night that Kirimi might come to love the darkness."
"No, you've got it all backwards." The twins and Y/N said in sync.
"I've told you many times, Neko-kun. You need to be the one to get accustomed to light places." Y/N stated in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Very well then! Since the Host Club strives to make every girl happy, we will make it our goal to not only get a brother and a sister happy, but Y/N-chan to stop worrying about the relationship as well! As of now, 'Operation Reform Nekozawa-senpai Into the Bright, Princely Character that Kirimi-chan Prefers' is underway! Or for short, 'Operation Character Reformation'." Tamaki stated.
"Don't get carried away with such irresponsible declarations, Senpai." Y/N and Haruhi stated with a neutral expression.
"But wait!" The twins just realized something. "Is this why-" Kaoru began. "Y/N invited-" Before Hikaru could finish for his brother, Renge's insane laughter began. "Sure enough." Both sighed.
-Ouran Academy-Music Room #4-3 Days Later-Tuesday-
The group had left Kirimi to be taken care of by Haruhi, and now it was the six host club males, Nekozawa, and two females in the Music Room, where the curtains were closed and blocking out all sunlight.
"Your golden hair, as it flickers in the candlelight. Your shining, ivory skin, your smile more mysterious than a flower, illuminated by moonlight. Yes, almost if....as if you were a cursed was statue, with you malecolence."
"Wrong!" Renge smacked Nekozawa.
"It was going so well too." Y/N sighed as she remembered how princely he looked and sounded, until he became creepily scary.
"B-but, my vocabulary is limited to these sorts of words." Nekozawa said, completely scared as Renge yelled at him with scary snake hair.
"Talking back to me is off-limits, too! A princely character doesn't come up with such a sissy excuse so easily!"
"Scary..." Y/N mumbled, oblivious to the fact that she was often much scarier when one of the hosts upsets her.
"Remember, it's good to have a dark. Solitary characters work pretty well with young girls, too. But these days, the occult, horror, and the like are out of the question!" Renge explained to Nekozawa, before turning to Mori who was standing beside a chalkboard. "Add another bad word!" she stated.
"It was wax-statue, right...?" Mori mumbled as he wrote another word beside the others that were already written.
"She's defiantly on a roll." Honey commented.
"I'm not sure if those lines will be practical for his sister, though." Hikaru muttered.
"Sir, are you just going to watch?" Kaoru turned to Tamaki.
"Well, I don't want to end up cursed later." The others nodded in agreement as Y/N sighed and shook her head, before she perked up at Renge's yelling and a flash of light.
Turning in the direction, she was surprised to see Renge shining a flashlight on Nekozawa.
"Don't you let a mere flashlight upset you! Pluck up your nerve! It's not a physical problem for you, which means it's a problem of guts! Edgar was able to deal with a cross with his nerve and guts, right!?" Renge questioned.
"I thought you rejected the occult." Nekozawa pointed out.
"Fiction is all right. Fashion is not." Renge shot back.
"Is that right?" Y/N and Tamaki questioned in sync as they blinked.
"Plus you need to treat your acting partner as if it really was Kirimi-chan." Renge added.
"T-that's easy for you to say, but Kirimi's face isn't as ashen as this." Nekozawa muttered as he pointed to Tamaki's teddy bear which was wearing a wig and school girl outfit.
"I don't want to hear it!" Renge screamed at him.
"Yes! This is all for Kirimi-chan's sake!" Tamaki declared.
Before anything else could happen, the door to the Host Club slowly creaked open, revealing the commoner male.
"Can one of you please go hang out with Kirimi-chan for a little while?" Haruhi questioned.
"What's wrong Haruhi? Aren't you good with children?" Kyoya questioned.
"No, I don't dislike children." Haruhi answered.
"Is she making you read too many mangas?" Y/N paled.
"Mmm..." Haruhi sighed. "She made me read over fifty volumes in the past three days." He admitted. "And of all things, the mangas are full of reverse harems and debauchery." Haruhi then added.
"Big brother...?" Everyone's attention suddenly went towards the little girl who stood in the doorway. "This room is too dark!" She suddenly teared up.
"Kirimi-chan." Y/N was suddenly by the blonde's side, rubbing her back cofortingly and smiling softly. "It'll be ok."
"Y/N-hime." Kirmi hiccuped, tackling Y/N into a hug.
"Kirimi-chan, I thought I told you to stay in the other room." Haruhi said as he walked over as well.
"Oh no, what's wrong? There's nothing to be afraid of!" Tamaki suddenly came in and sweeped Kirimi off of the ground and holding her up as he spun her around, causing the blonde to giggle happily.
"Senpai?" Hearing Renge's voice, Y/N instantly turned to see Nekozawa shaking with a flashlight gripped in his hands.
Is he really going to do it...? She thought with wide (E/C) orbs.
"I am a princely big brother, I am a princely big brother, I am a handsome princely big brother." He chanted to himself. "I'm not afraid of the light! Self evil beam!" Nekozawa shouted, suddenly turning on the flashlight infront of his face. (A/N: Which is very dangerous, that could hurt your eyes Nekozawa-senpai.)
"He did it!" Honey beamed, as Mori clapped behind him.
"He finally flashed a light on himself." Y/N said aloud in awe.
"Bravo, bravo." The twins said, firing confetti.
"Look, Kirimi-chan, this is your real big brother!" Tamaki cheerfully stated as he pointed at Nekozawa.
"Kirimi." As Nekozawa turned around, everyone froze in fear at the creepy look that the light eluminated on his face.
"Oh no..." Y/N muttered, eyes widening as Kirimi burst into a loud cry and ran away.
"Kirimi!" Nekozawa shouted, dropping the flashlight. "Kirimi..." He frowned and fell on his knees.
"Nekozawa-senpai." Tamaki looked unsure of what to do.
"Neko-kun." Y/N frowned, kneeling beside the hunched over male. "It'll be ok, I know it will. I'll go find Kirimi-chan and explain what's going on." Y/N softly spoke, as if a loud noise might break the blonde male, as she softly patted his head, before standing up and walking towards the doorway, before pausing and gripping onto Tamaki's arm. "Don't let him give up, Tamaki-senpai, please." She whispered so only he could hear, before rushing off in the direction that Kirimi had gone.
____Quick Time Skip____
Y/N sighed as she looked around. "Where could someone so small have gone...?" She muttered. "The courtyard! It's the least darkest area!" Y/N suddenly exclaimed rushing towards the courtyard.
As soon as Y/N got then, she smiled widely. "Kirimi-chan!" She happily shouted, before pausing midstep, her eyes widening as she saw the fat white cat standing right infront of the youngest Nekozawa child.
"Kirimi-chan!" Y/N then shouted, more sounding demanding as she began to rush towards the blonde, knowing of her fear of cats.
"Kirimi!" Y/N stopped running as soon as she heard a loud yell and the sound of breaking glass. As she looked up, she looked relieved as she saw Nekozawa running towards his sister.
But wait! He's not wearing his hood! Y/N's eyes widened once again, this time in fear.
"Big brother!" Kirimi shouted, jumping into Nekozawa's arms, both smiling widely.
"See, Kirimi? No need to be afraid of that bad kitty anymore." Nekozawa smiled as he held the tiny blonde inhis arms before putting her down.
Y/N sighed as the blonde male began to speak once again, before slowly passing out. "Kirimi-chan." Y/N said, kneeling beside the female and placing a hand on the top of her head. "Your big brother is very sick when he's in the light, but he's been trying his very hardest to be brave, just for you. So, think of this like those prince stories, where the dark scary man is actually the princess's prince charming." Y/N smiled, before standing up and picking up the blond male. "Just like old times, ne, Neko-kun?" She chuckled, before carrying him inside, Kirimi following close behind.
-Music Room #3-Friday-
"Oi, guys, we got a letter from Kirimi-chan." Y/N smiled as she walked into the 'abandoned' music room, holding up a pink envelope that had a bunch of teddybear stickers on it.
"What does it say, N/N-chan?" Honey questioned, bounding over to the (H/C) female.
Y/N smiled as she opened up the letter.
Now, even if monsters do appear, I'll be alright. After all, Kirimi has a princely big brother now who will fight to protect her, even if it means dashing out under the sun that he fears so much.
~Extended Ending~
As Y/N and Haruhi walked down the street, the taller male yelped as his arm was suddenly hugged. "Thank you Haruhi, for everything that you and the club has done for me up to this point." She said, looking up at him with a closed eye smile.
Haruhi looked startled, before smiling and ruffling her hair, causing Y/N to pout. "We're always glad to help, especially Tamaki-senpai." he told her.
Y/N smiled slightly at the thought and nodded in agreement.
"And Y/N." The (H/C) female glanced back up at Haruhi. "Call me Haru-nii." He blushed.
Y/N beamed. "Hai!"
(A/N: This might be one of my favorites, to be honest, cause I love the thought of siblings bonding. And I put in the extended ending mostly because before I put it how Haruhi always got upset and tried to get Y/N to stop calling him Haru-nii, but now he sort of feels like it's a good oppurtunity for her to call him so, mostly because in this episode of the anime Haruhi talks of how she didn't have any siblings, and in a way Y/N is his sister in this fanfic. I'm planning on it to be like how Tamaki calls her daughter in the anime kind of concept, where he wants to protect her but he thinks it's only because she's like family.)
