I waited over 37167 years to tell you...

"Today is the day that I'm going to tell him.... you got this (f/n) ...just tell him...!" pacing the school corridors talking to yourself as you headed to where you knew Senku was. Where he always spent his lunchtimes...the science lab!

Looking into the room, it was full of guys looking at some experiment with a few other people. Taiju came running out of the room, just as you were about to go in with your letter of confession. "Oh Hey (f/n) .... gotta run!" trying to not barrel into you he continued on his path as you stood at the door.

Senku had heard your name mentioned, but it wasn't uncommon for you to come to the science lab asking him to help with your science homework. The thing was you weren't bad at science, however, unlike him who was a genius you tried to play dub to spend time with him.

Of course, as far as you could tell the little hints that you dropped about like him fell on deaf ears as not once did, he reciprocate the same feeling back.

Today was different though, you'd decided to make the decision that you would tell Senku exactly how you felt. If he rejected you, then you would try to move on with your broken heart and find comfort in the 4 tubs of chunky monkey ice cream you'd got prepared in your freezer at home.

Taking a deep breath, you walked into the room, a little laminated piece of paper in your hands. The reason you'd laminated it as well, you'd assumed that you'd be doing this in the lab and wanted to make sure you didn't ruin the message.

As you got into the room you could hear them talking about gasoline or something. You weren't sure what experiment they'd been doing. Then you heard them talking about Teiju, putting bets on whether he would succeed or be heartbroken.

"What's going on?" calling out, half the guys stood there turned instant hearts in their eyes at your presence. The thing was, that you were one of the popular girls in school and was caring and kind to all. With your beautiful (h/c) hair, rosy lips and sparkling (e/c) eyes.

It wasn't uncommon that you would get people to come to you with confessions of love, just as you were doing right now.

"Oh hey (f/n), come to watch Teiju confess?" Senku's red eyes glanced at you, your cheeks a glow as you were unable to look him in the eyes.

"Ermm...I didn't know!" you blurt out stepping closer to the window, placing yourself next to Senku. The feel of his piercing red eyes on you, as if trying to work out the shaky tone to your voice.

Normally around him, you were a little timid, but today there was something slightly off about the way you couldn't seem to look him in the eyes. There was a little bead of sweat running down your brow, the way you bit your lips as if anxious about something all caught Senku's attention.

It made him curious, he wanted to know why you were like this. 'Is she sick? Fever...no can't be...Nervous...why though? Did she fail science...Maybe I should ask her if she needs help? Will she be offended...do I care if she'd be offended...I normally just speak my mind!' multiple thought's whirred around the guy's head, and he decided to just ask.

"SEnKUuu..." your voice came out high pitched and a little off before he could ask you anything.

"(f/n), you ok?" raising an eyebrow to look at you, still you never once looked at him in the eyes.

"Oh, erm sure can we ya know talk? Like somewhere private?" finally your big (e/c) eyes looked into his ruby red ones. It clicked; he knew what you were going to ask!

"Sure....Wait what the?" as you were about to dragging him away, clutching the letter to your chest, the last thing you saw was Senku with a panicked look on his face as you began to fade into an unconscious state.

The next thing you knew, you were awake, and you couldn't move your body, but your mind was still working. 'Oh no... what's going on? What happened? Stay calm (f/n)!' giving yourself a pep talk, you weren't sure if you'd die and you were in purgatory or if you were still alive.

'What would Senku do? Most likely count right? Shall I count? Least it will pass the time and hopefully, someone will save me? If something is wrong I know Senku will save me,' that was the last thing you thought, apart from the memory of your friends, family and Senku crossed in your mind, as you shed tears but in reality, no tears left the eyes.

You lay petrified in stone...and that's how you would stay for the next 37167 years.

Senku, as you predicted, did the same, he counted, and he counted until where he lay the stone began to crack. It was more luck than anything on how he became unpetrified, however, once awake he worked it out free Teiju and even though you should have been right beside him, as the world changed back to nature it had moved you.

The guy with the white and green spiky hair didn't understand relationships and sure his mind did wander to you from time to time. Curious upon where you were so that you could finish your conversation all those years ago.

However, unable to find you he awoke Tsukasa Shishio in order to save himself and Teiju from a lion attack. From there it went downhill, so much happened and when Senku found a civilisation of people who were descendants from survivors of Stone Day, he began to form the Kingdom of Science.

Becoming close and winning the trust of both of the villagers as well as Gen Asagiri, a man who Tsukasa revived but changed to the Kingdom of Science. Teiju had also awoken his crush Yuzuhira Ogawa, the girl he was going to confess to the same day as you were Senku. The two of them currently spies for Senku in the Tsukasa Empire.

The Tsukasa Empire wanted to destroy the idea of science, believing that man should be like they were before. Only the strong and young should survive, in an attempt to do this Tsukasa brought back a lot of strong people and destroyed statues of the elderly.

After much back and forth, there was to be a war in the Spring and the Kingdom of Science was working hard to win. However, Tsukasa was always devising a plan with the people he'd revived with the formula that Senku had shown him how to make.

Still, in your stone form, you counted, and you counted unaware of all that was happening on in the world around you. From the way you'd held the note you'd written to your chest; it had been almost sealed off to the elements.

There was just the slight corner of it peeking out. It wasn't long until Teiju and Yuzuhira would be checking in with Senku, to alerts of the plans but little did they know what they would find in their walk through the woods.

"Teiju...you think Senku is ok? It's been over a year since we saw him," The pretty brunette held the large muscular Teiju hand, as he grinned with a huge friendly smile.

"You betcha he's alright," the big brown eye man commented, before tripping over a lump in the ground. "Ouch..." groaning he lay flat on his face, Yuzuhira rushing to his side.

"Are you ok?" helping him up, he smiled a slight blush on his cheeks.

"Yeh...I didn't see a stone or anything...wonder what I tripped on?" turning he saw a pair of stone hands now sticking out the ground from where his foot had tripped on moss. "Oh...it's a statue," used to the statues of people from before Stone Day, he sighed as the memory never went away.

"I best stand them up. Don't want them to be crushed!" he laughed heartily, beginning to clear the moss away before he stopped, a stunned look on his face. "Yuzuhira...it's (f/n)!" he called out, unaware that he was being followed by Homura.

"Oh my gosh...Senku will be happy! I'm positive he had a crush on her ya know and I'm sure she was going to tell him she liked him before what happened, happened," not thinking the words came out before Teiju covered her mouth.

"Shhh...we don't know who is watching we need to get her to Senku. At least her statue would be safe," the man commented, clear the rest of the moss off your body, that was naked in stone form, but it wasn't uncommon all clothes had disintegrated over time.

"We should go quickly," Yuzuhira commented, the man nodding in agreement as he lifted your heavy stone form with such power, heading into the direction of the Kingdom of Science, trying to cover their path as they went.

The pink-haired woman Homura, moved with such speed to get back to Tsukasa to see him talking to Hyoga. A man with such skill and white hair like all the others brought back he was handsome and strong.

"Homura, how can we help?" Hyoga was the first to notice her presence.

"Those two found a statue...and seem to be taking it in the direction of the Kingdom of Science...one could only assume it's someone of the importance of Senku.

"Soo...it appears that Senku does have a weakness..." placing his hand in his chin. "Well let's go then, we're ready for the attack are we not?" looking towards the white-haired man, he nods before saying a word to get the fighters ready to advance.

The two carrying your body moved through the night, knowing that it would take a few days to get your statue to the Senku, leave a message of your location before heading back to Tsukasa. However, they'd not anticipated that Tsukasa was already on the move to the same location.

As the moon shone through the night, the couple hardly spoke, stopping for short naps before heading on their way again.

Eventually, they saw the flag signalling that they had reached their destination and you would be safe in your petrified state. Teiju looked around, seeing the form of a man and one he knew very well.

"Pssst Gen!" calling out only enough for the man with the white and black hair to hear. Instantly, eyes were upon the couple hidden within the bushes.

"You're early? Are they attacking now?" the man stood with his back to the bush as to not give the two away.

"I'm unsure but it was with great priority we got this to Senku...tell him (f/n) is waiting in the bushes, he must keep her safe," this intrigued Gen as he eyes cast, he saw your beautiful form but still in stone.

"Who is she?" intrigued by you, he wanted to know if you would be a weakness to the man and to what end Senku would go to protect you from being smashed.

"A close friend...we're going to go. Tell Senku we said hello," with that the bush rustled as the couple began to move away from you. Gen took another look at your form, seeing the look of despair in your eyes as you froze, yet there was a beauty to you that he couldn't deny.

"Best tell Senku," sighing he knew that Magna or Kinro would need to bring you into the village at the stone would be too heavy for him to carry.

"Ooo Senku...you have a package delivered!" Gen called out making the group turn to look at the mischievous man.

"Huh?" Looking up from the formula he was working on curious to what devious thing that Tsukasa had sent.

"Ohh a beautiful statue was delivered...you dog, you," as soon as the words left Gen's lips.

"They found her!" crossing his arms across his chest, sighing in relief as the group looked on to the man who was clearly not the romantic type and had never mentioned your name, for fear you'd be used against him.

"Who they find?" Chrome a villager with a passion for science commented.

"Yeh...a girl...and you say she is pretty I wanna see let me see!" Ginro was excited as always.

"Don't you think it could be a trap?" Kohaku commented, always on the cautious side of when anything happened.

"No trap I swear...Teiju and Yuzuhira just left...but they travelled all the way here with I believe they called her (f/n)," the moment your name left his lips, Senku ran out of the hut dropping what he was doing. Before leaving he grabbed a vile...a special one he'd saved for you.

The thing was he'd known what you were going to ask 37167 years ago...he knew you'd taken every bit of courage to come to him. That you knew he could easily break your heart as he'd constantly advised that relationships overcomplicated things.

As he headed to the bushes though he stopped in his tracks, your statue had been moved and instead of being in the bush, you were in clear view for everyone to see. The villagers had stopped, with weapons were drawn as stood with his hand on the top of your stone head was Tsukasa.

"Hello Senku...do you know this pretty girl?" the man stood before him, did seem genuinely intrigued. Tsukasa had wanted to find his sister, wanting to free her but he was intrigued to see if Senku had someone like him. The man was also very aware of how pretty you were, knowing you'd fit in well with his ideology of what he wanted the world to be.

Assessing the situation, Senku knew that he wouldn't be able to lie but he also knew a talent that you had. One you'd be drilled with since a child, Kenjutsu. The same as the samurai were taught back in the world of old. Your family came from a line of Samurai master's the dojo that you trained out famous to those in the know.

"Hmm I can't really see from here?" playing coy, but also weary to not give his emotions and his excitement away. Glancing to the side though he saw Kohaku stood with one of the swords that they'd made. It was nothing to the strength of the one that was yours, but you knew how to use it.

Kohaku saw Senku look from her to the sword and then to the stone you, it was clear in her eyes that he was signalling for the sword to be thrown to you if his plan succeeded. However, what he didn't expect was to see Tsukasa beat him to the punch.

"Why don't we just ask her? And if not, she can become a part of my army," a curve of the lips forming on the handsome face, before formula was poured over your head. The village in shock and awe, having never seen one of the stone people being revived but just had the knowledge they could.

As the liquid sunk into the stone, cracks began to form along with the stone husk as Senku prayed you were still alive within in. As you counted, your eyes began to move as cracks of light began to fill your vision, as the feeling of cold wind seeped through, your limbs begin to move.

Out of instinct, you tried to move forward as your hands moved away from your chest as you took your first breath of air in what you knew to be at least 37167 years. As you became free, everyone watched around in awe as if watching a baby being born.

Forgetting completely about the letter in your hands you went to stretch your fingers, unaware of being surrounded. "Finally..." you whispered as a soft word on the air.

"My my you are a real beauty aren't you and look you dropped something!" instantly you got into a stance unaware of who the voice belonged to, then realising your naked form and the sets of multiple eyes on you as you tried to cover up.

The air was tense as you didn't get a chance to look around, as you saw a handsome man reach down to the laminated paper. "I'm surprised this didn't vanish within your lovely fingers. oh my this is very cute...shall I read it allowed...seen as the person it's intended for is right behind you," there was a smirk on his face as a piece of cloth was thrown over your head covering your body.

"We never did get to talk did...but it's time to get excited though," looking to the guy at your side, you saw the familiar white and green hair of Senku, quickly wrapping the cloth around your body, your attention is brought back to the man with your letter.

"Dear Senku, I know you don't like relationships, so I'm happy to accept this could break my heart and I'd still be your friend..." your eyes began to fill with tears of rage, as someone your never met divulged your secret.

"KOHAKU NOW!" Senku called a sword landed to your feet. "I'm 10 billion percent sure you remember how to wield that," a cheeky smile, one you'd miss cross the boy with the red eyes face.

Not saying a word, you move in a flash kicking the sword to your hand and before Tsukasa can read another letter the sword is at his throat. "I don't know what is going on...but you shouldn't read other people's stuff asshole," whilst he was distracted with a sword at his throat, you landed a cheap shot in his crown jewels, dropping the ape of a man to his knees. Senku was laughing like a mad man in the background.

"I suggest you go...before I do something, I regret..." there was a fire in your eyes, one Tsukasa liked the look of has he regained himself, turning his back on the village.

"We'll be back for our war Senku...enjoy being reunited with your friend for now," the words shocked and stunned everyone, as they watched the group retreat to the woods. Your trained eyes not leaving the tree line until you were sure they were gone, and then bursting to red in embarrassment as Senku had seen you naked.

"So.. thought you'd wake up did ya?" feeling an arm on your head, your eyes looked up to the man who'd crossed your mind so many times.

"Yeh...I felt what was it? 37167-year nap was long enough...what happened Senku?" the realisation that you'd woken up during some conflict. Senku would be lying if he wasn't impressed that you knew how long had passed. However, he didn't expect anything less from a girl that was beautiful, smart, strong and so kind.

"Did you count? Didn't think you count past three!" the guy teased as you elbowed him to the gut.

"Explain nerd... where are we and what the hell happened?" the panic began to fill your voice, so turning you to face him. The friends he'd made over the last year of Chrome, Kohaku, Ginro, Kinro, Gen, Suika, Kaseki and even Magna watched the boy who loved science do something they never expected.

Placing his rough thumb on your chin, he lifted your face that had a crack under your left eyes but still the colour of your (e/c) eyes were the most precious gems in the world. Over the years in stone, he'd realised that you were one of the things he couldn't live without.

As you looked up his expression changed to one, you'd never seen before, it was soft and kind. Full of love that was being directed at you. On instinct you rose on your feet, not giving him the opportunity to get away you dropped the sword, wrapping your arms around his neck.

Pulling his lips to yours, you'd waited all this time to tell him one thing but you needed to do more you need to show him that even all these years apart your love for him would go beyond the ages.

The kiss wasn't long, but it was sweet, and you could tell that Senku was unsure of what to do, so you took the lead. Ignoring the gasps of shock from around you, from people you didn't know. However, as you pulled apart Senku slowly opened his eyes to look at you a smile forming on his face, knowing that this would complicate thing but not caring as you'd be by his side.

"I've waited 37167 years to tell you that I love you Senku...and I understand if you don't feel the same," your voice was soft and full of nerve-like it was the day you tried to tell him originally.

However, a huge grin plastered itself across the handsome guy's face. "Well, it's time to get excited because I love you...and we'll help bring everyone back with my friends." his words hit you in the heart as you embraced him, and the first day of your new life began with you by the man you loved side.
