Horror was cooking while we relaxed in the cave. It'd been a couple days since the Undyne incident, and Horror and I have gotten closer than ever. They were back to talking, and Horror even started cuddling me everytime I started to get sad. I missed home. I missed my brother. Horror knew that, and hugged me in attempts to help me. They were nice.. but sometimes they didn't work.. I wanted them to work, I genuinely did. Horror was a great guy for a cannibal. His gaze shifted to mine, reading me, it seemed. I felt my cheeks heat up a little. That's been happening a lot lately too. It started since his first surprise hug. He just came up from behind and hugged me close and my face got really hot. I knew it was because of him. Was it that... I loved him?

Horror POV

I feel helpless to Blue's emotions. The longer he's here, the sadder he gets. I don't want him sad. He's much more attractive as a happy little Blueberry. I sighed as I looked away from his sad blue eyes. So how do I keep him happy until he can go home? I looked into the cackling flames. He could- no, that might chase Blue away.. I glanced at the saddened little skeleton again. Then again.. maybe not. 'No Horror! Let him make the first move!' I scolded myself as I checked the tender fox meat. Yes, today's lunch was fox. Get over it. I let it cool to touching heat and gave Blue his portion. "Thank you, Horror." Blue gave me a forced smile. I wasn't feeling hungry as I was feeling anxious. This wasn't the Blue I met and fell for. I need that Blue back, even if it means... never seeing him again.

Blue POV

Horror didn't touch his meal. I could only assume it was wolf since that's all he ever usually ate. "Horror? Aren't you hungry?" I asked, worried for him. "...no.." Was his quiet reply. I couldn't pinpoint the emotion in his voice, but I didn't like it. "Horror, what's wrong?" I abandoned my food as I got up to check on him. He looked down, avoiding my eyelights. "Horror?" He mumbled out a quiet answer, I never heard his voice so small. "What was that..?" I asked kindly. "i feel so helpless.." He whispered. "Helpless..? Why?"
"i- i can't make you happy.." My cheeks heated up again. "Oh Horror..." I hugged him. "You do make me happy! I just.. miss my brother and friends too. I'm sorry I'm making you feel bad.." I murmured. "don't apologize.." He grumbled. I picked up his chin so he would look me in the eye sockets. His eye dilated. "Don't blame yourself then." I gave a more genuine smile. We locked gazes and I found myself leaning in. He was too as my soul picked up it's pace. Were we about to- our teeth touched and my cheeks flared hotter than ever before.

Horror POV

I deepened the kiss that I so desperately desired from him. I pulled his skull closer and he wrapped his arms around my neck. He eventually pulled away, blushing and I groaned. "just a little longer..?" I whined. Blue blushed harder. "Y-you liked it..?"
"i've been yearning for that." I brushed my phalanges against his cheek. "i love you, and i want to protect you from all the evils of the world.." He laid his skull on my chest. "I think I love you too, Horror.." My grin widened with elation and I pulled his chin up for another kiss.
