Nevaeh called Angela. She was still walking around the hotel, waiting for her best friend to answer the phone. Once she answered, Nevaeh just let it all out.

     "Okay, I forgot to say this, but while we were, you know, he told me that he loves me and I froze up and didn't say it back."

     "Nevaeh, I hate you, you know that?" the girl from the other line spoke, Vaeh watching Angela put her fingers to her temple.

     "I just. . . wasn't expecting it. Like, we've been dating for months, but it just never happened, you know? I just didn't think that he really thought of me that way," Nevaeh sighed, scanning the hallway and praying he wasn't around to hear her.

     "Well? Do you love him?"

     Nevaeh paused, hesitating to give her real answer. She had spent months with this man, him making her feel like she was actually worth something. He brought out the side in her that the internet and social media didn't see. He knew her like the back of her hand, and would immediately know when something was wrong. He loved her. He had spent all of this time doing nothing but love her.

     "Yes."

"Then go tell him, stupid!" Angela hung up on her friend, leaving Nevaeh to go back to Jude's hotel room and tell her how she really felt.

Nevaeh opened the door to the hotel room, revealing Jude already up and getting ready. As she expected, he was wearing a gray tracksuit and putting his socks and shoes on while seated on the bed.

     He looked up at her with a smile, saying, "Good morning, Neve."

     "Hey," she beamed back, walking closer to him. He stood up, and she wrapped her arms around him. He did the same to her, planting a kiss on her forehead. She looked up at him to see him already looking. She liked how he didn't question the random hug, that he just immediately took it all in.

     "Where'd you go?" he asked. He seemed slightly upset by her departure. That didn't stop him from still holding onto her, though.

     "I just needed some air," she sighed, letting go of her boyfriend. She looked up at him, staring at that sad look in his eyes. She needed to tell him now, give him peace of mind. "I love you so much, Jude." It just slipped, her mouth moving faster than her mind. He seemed taken aback at first, but then his eyes softened.

     "I love you too, Nevaeh," Jude smiled, looking down at her.

     She gave him a smile and another hug. This time when she let go, she planted a kiss on his lips, draping her arms around his shoulders. She was just glad that her and his feelings were out.
