Her trip to Barcelona had come to a close. Despite that being one of the reasons why she went back to America, she also had an audition for a new movie to go to. She hadn't been in one yet, just shows, so it'd be a change of scenery. It was horror, something she wasn't quite used to yet, but was still excited for.

     She had been staying with her parents again, since the audition was in Texas and her apartment was in New York. She hadn't talked to them much since she flew in late, and her mother was already sleeping.

     It was morning now, and Nevaeh had just woken up. She checked her phone, scrolling through the hundreds of notifications she had gotten from the girls, the Barcelona boys, and Instagram. She sighed, getting out of bed and bringing her phone with her. She opened her bedroom door, leaving the room and shutting it behind her. She walked down the stairs, the smell of food flooding her nostrils. It was so like her mother to try to impress her daughter after not seeing her in a while.

     "Nevaeh," her mother, Paloma, smiled. She put the set of plates down, walking over to hug her daughter. "How was it? How's Pablo?"

     "It was fun," Nevaeh responded, giving her mom an equally as tight hug. "Gavi's fine, he said he can't wait to see you soon." The two let go, still holding on to each other's arms.

     "So... are you gonna tell me about Jude or what?" Paloma chuckled, dragging her daughter over to the kitchen's island and sitting her and herself down.

     "Mom, how do you even know about that?"

     "Nevaeh, I'm forty, not born in the fourties. I have Instagram, too," she told her daughter. "He isn't bad looking. Is he sweet to you?"

     "If only you knew."

     "Good morning, family," her father's voice sounded. Darren was not-so accepting of his daughter's career choice. With her mom being a lawyer and him being a doctor, he had expected more from her. He didn't realize she pulled more money in than he did, though. "How was Spain, princess?" He gave his daughter a kiss on the forehead and walked to the other side of the island, grabbing himself a plate and filling it with his wife's homecooked meal.

     "It was fine," she told her dad, not going into too much detail with him. She hesistated before telling him, "I have an audition today."

     He put his plate down and sighed, putting on hand on his hip and the other to his temple. "When are you gonna realize this isn't gonna help you in the future? You may be getting roles now, but who knows what'll happen when you turn thirty or forty or fifty."

     "Dad. To this day, actors like Will Smith and Halle Berry are still successful," she stated calmly, trying her best to not lose her cool.

     "And you think you're as good as them?" he laughed. "Reprising your role in Outer Brinks—"

     "Banks."

     "—is not going to get you anywhere. And The Sex Lives of College Girls? You couldn't have auditioned for something less explicit?" he lectured her, his voice growing louder and louder as the conversation went on. "Paloma, can you please explain to her since you're the only one who can get through to her?"

     Paloma awkwardly laughed saying, "No, don't put me in the middle of this, Darren. You know I'm going to love and support my daughter no matter what her choices are. You should take notes."

      "Paloma, me and you both know this isn't going to go anywhere. The opportunities are slowly going to decrease and her roles are gonna become smaller and smaller. She needs a Plan B."

     "And if she gets to that point, we will figure out a Plan B. But for now, we are on Plan A, and that is to support my daughter's acting career. End of conversation."

     Darren rolled his eyes. "You probably won't even get the one you're auditioning for now, Nevaeh. Just wasting your time."

     "This is why I hate coming back here," Nevaeh shouted, standing up. "You never appreciate what I've done for you. All that money that I give you comes from my career. But fine, if you don't want me to help out, then I won't." She stormed off, going up the stairs and grabbing her stuff. She took her keys, purse, and put normal clothes on. She left the home, ignoring her mother's pleas.

     "Just let her go, Paloma. She'll be back."

"Vaeh?" his voice came from the other line. She forgot how much she loved it, how she melted into it everytime he spoke.

"Hey." He could hear her smile from across the phone. He smiled too, happy to finally hear her voice again. He wasn't sure when the next time he'd see her or hear her in person would be.

"So, what happened?" Nevaeh told him everything, nearly breaking down in tears over it. He talked her through it, listening to her rant about how much she hated the way her father treated her. He reassured her, telling Nevaeh how good she was at everything she did. She couldn't help but smile and constantly thank Jude for what he had done.

"When are you coming back to Spain?" he asked her. "I need to prepare for the next date I'm taking you on."

She giggled, saying, "Soon. Gotta get this audition over with, and if I get it, I'm pretty sure we'll be in Canada for shooting. After that, I promise to come visit. I miss Spain anyway."

"Well, I miss you, so, I'm gonna need this process to be put on two-times speed."

Nevaeh giggled again and told him, "I miss you too, Jude. It won't be long before you see me again."

"Oh, I know," he smirked.

"What does that mean?"

"You'll see."

"Okay, Joe Goldberg, I've gotta go to the audition. I'll text you when I get out," Nevaeh told him. He told her goodbye, and they hung up. If only he knew how much she really liked him.
