Chapter 1

Chapter one

I need new friends, my other friends like to ignore me. *glare*

Third person POV

Percy was sitting in his room trying to do homework and Sally was working on her book when the apartment door opened.

"Percy! Sally! I'm home!" Came the loud voice of Thalia Grace. Her voice was followed by Nico Di Angelo's saying,
" Me too!"

Percy groaned and stood up. He walked down the hall and over to his cousins.
" How many times do I have to tell you. You don't live here!"  Percy said. He loved his cousins, but seriously. Every single day for the last two months they would come into his apartment and announce that they were home. And every single time they did that Percy corrected them. And every single time Percy corrected them, Thalia and Nico felt a pang of sadness. They truly wished that they could call the Jackson-Blofis household their home. Sally knew that. She had watched these exchanges everyday, and everyday she would treat Thalia and Nico as her own children until they left, claiming that they had their own apartment somewhere.

Sally wasn't an idiot. She knew they had no apartment. They had never invited Percy over and once she saw them wandering the streets until they found a good area to set up camp. They didn't know she was watching, but she watched as Thalia and Nico worked together to set up a tent from Artemis. Sally knew that the tents were bigger on the inside and actually quite comfortable, but she still felt as if someone had slapped her when she realized that Thalia and Nico were practically living on the streets.

Ever since Sally saw those two on the street, she has been thinking about adopting Thalia and Nico. She probably would have already if she wasn't worried that they would say no. I mean sure, they liked to come over every single day, but what if they were truly happy in that tent? What if they were trying to gain independence and did not want someone to coddle them? She would also need to tell Paul and Percy. What if Paul didn't like Thalia and Nico? Paul hasn't even met them yet. They always left before he got home. And what if he didn't want more teens in the house? He already works with teens everyday. What about Percy? Sally knows that he loves his cousins, but having the live in the same house might be a bit much. Sally also knew that Percy, Nico and Thalia loved to argue, and sometimes the argument escalated into a battle. Sally didn't think the neighbors would appreciate the noise, or the plumbing damage, or the holes in the ceiling from lighting, or zombies walking around.

Sally sighed and stood up. She walked to the kitchen and got a batch of blue cookies from the oven. After about two seconds, whatever conversation the Little Big Three were having stopped, then they all ran into the kitchen. When they saw the cookies, the Little Big Three exchanged a look and all at once, lunged for the cookies. Sally, however, was prepared. Right when they were about to grab the cookies, she pulled the tray back. The Little Big Three looked up at her with sad eyes

" You guys can not have these cookies yet."  Sally said in what she hoped was a stern voice. Immediately the teens started complaining.

"WHAT! Why not!"

"That's no fair!"

" but..but..but"

Sally tried to hide a smile. She found it funny that some of the most powerful demigods of all time were begging her for cookies.

"No buts," Sally said, still trying not to laugh, "And it is perfectly fair, after all, I don't want to spoil your appetite, it would be a shame if you didn't eat your dinner." Silence. The demigods were shocked. Sally had never invited the over to dinner before. Well, there was that one time, but that was the reason she didn't invite them over anymore. You see, they may have sort of... almost blown up the building. Ever since then, Sally would NOT invite them over for dinner, in fear of the apartment blowing up.

" Are you sure, Mrs. Jackson?" Nico asked politely. He was always so careful when he talked to Sally, because he didn't want her to get mad at him.

"It's Sally dear. And yes, I am sure. Dinner is at 6:30. Paul will be there and do try not to blown anything up." And with that, she left, with the cookies, leaving three stunned demigods behind her.

Sorry, this is one of my shorter chapters. The word count is 800.
I will try to make the next chapter longer. Please comment and tell me what you think!
