Third Person POV

"Oww! Oww!" Cooheart could not help protesting as Kao's full heavy weight pressed on him.

Kao quickly covered Cooheart's mouth to shush him because he did not want Mrs. Namwirote waking up and finding them in this questionable situation.

Unfortunately, because Mrs. Namwirote's room was just after the short hallway, before too long she had come out to check what was going on.

"Kao! Get off my son! Why are you covering his mouth!??"

A red as beet in the face Kao awkwardly stood up and was beside himself with apologies to Mrs. Namwirote.

"I'm so very very sorry, Mrs. Namwirote! I was on my way to the kitchen to get myself a glass of water when I happened to glance at Cooheart and saw that there was someone sleeping beside him. I went closer to his bed to see who it was but he suddenly woke up and I got startled and my sudden movement made me lose my balance."

"Mom, no one is sleeping beside me. It's just Chloe."

"Who is Chloe?" Kao asked, wide eyed.

Cooheart pulled out the stuffed koala from under the covers of his bed.

"Kao, go ahead and get your glass of water and let's all go back to bed," said Mrs. Namwirote trying to stifle a smile at the silliness of the situation.

"I'm sorry," Kao said once more, both to Cooheart and to Mrs. Namwirote.

The following morning was a Saturday so no one was in a hurry to get out of bed early. Even Rose did not set the breakfast table until after nine in the morning.

Cooheart was the first to get out of bed. He was awakened by his phone vibrating under his pillow. He had muted it but left it to vibrate mode the night before.

He swiped his phone screen.

"Cooheart!" Title said before Cooheart could even say 'hello', "are you awake?"

"No," Cooheart replied, "I mean I'm awake now because you called me. Do you have school today?"

"No," Title replied, "I don't have Saturday classes. Shall we hang out today or are you still suffering from jet lag?"

"I am but I shouldn't wait too long to try to fix my biological clock so yeah, let's hang out. You wanna come over to my house?" Cooheart offered.

"Only to pick you up," said Title, "and then I'll drive you and myself to the mall. I don't wanna hang out at your house. Your tenant might try to join us. I want only your company. I'm exclusive that way." Title ended his reply with a short chuckle.

Cooheart was shaking his head but agreed with Title.

"Pick you up at eleven?" Title asked, "we could have lunch at the Food Court, my treat."

"Sure, thanks," Cooheart replied, already standing up and heading for the bathroom.

He bumped into Kao who was sleepily making his way to the bathroom as well.

"Sorry," said Kao, "you go ahead, I will wait until after you're finished."

"Oh no, no, you go ahead," said Cooheart, "I'm in no hurry. Do you have Saturday morning classes?"

"I do," Kao replied, "My professor is a stickler for punctuality."

"So go ahead and do your stuff. I'll go back to bed and wait for you to finish."

After Kao got out of the bedroom, Cooheart noticed that he was rushing about like the house was on fire. Cooheart rightly guessed that Kao was running late for classes when he told Rose that he was going to skip breakfast.

"Do you have a car?" Cooheart asked.

"No," Kao replied, "I always just walk to school but today I will have to make a run for it."

"Hold up," said Cooheart, grabbing his mom's car key, "let me take you there."

"Oh no, no, you don't have to," Kao protested, "I'm sure I will make it on time if I run fast enough and I'm a pretty good sprinter."

"I insist," Cooheart said, remembering his own experiences of running late to classes.

Kao was touched and gratefully accepted Cooheart's kind gesture.

During the drive, Cooheart asked why Kao transferred to the local university instead of continuing his studies in the university of his own hometown.

"They don't offer the major course that I'm taking in the university in this city," Kao replied.

"What is your major course?" Cooheart got curious.

"Child Psychology," Kao supplied the information.

Cooheart silently made an "ooohhh", his open mouth forming a perfect circle.

"What about you?" Kao asked, "what course were you taking abroad before you decided to come back home?"

"Architecture," Cooheart replied.

It was Kao's turn to make a perfect circle with his open mouth.

"I will have to wait until next semester to enroll in the university here," Cooheart said, "in the meantime I will be helping my mom to run her dormitory business."

Kao slowly absorbed the last bit of information. He envisioned Cooheart having to deal with the tenants of their dormitory which was attached to Cooheart's and his mom's private residence.

Kao had encountered some of the tenants once or twice and they appeared to be a rowdy bunch. He silently wished Cooheart good luck with his job.

Before too long, Cooheart reached the entrance to the university. Kao said that Cooheart could drop him off already and he was just going to walk to his building which was not too far from the entrance.

Kao turned to Cooheart.

"Thank you so much for driving me to school," he said.

"Not a problem," said Cooheart with a smile.

Just before Kao stepped out of the car, he said, "I would like to return this favor you just did by treating you to lunch at the mall today."

"Sure," said Cooheart, forgetting all about his agreement with Title.

"Can I have you number?" Kao asked, already handing out his phone to Cooheart.

"Sure," Cooheart replied, taking Kao's phone and keying in his contact number and then handing back the phone to Kao.

In a few seconds Cooheart's phone started to ring, followed by another ring. Kao wasn't the only one calling Cooheart.

Oh shit, it was Title.

"You'll be late for your classes," Cooheart said to Kao who was still sitting inside the car, not making a move to step out of it.

"Oh, y...yes, thank you again for the ride," Kao said, stealing a glance at Cooheart's phone screen before stepping out of the car.

As soon as Kao closed the passenger door Cooheart swiped his phone screen.

"Hey," said Title, "why didn't you pick up right away?"

"I was driving," Cooheart replied.

"Where are you right now?"

"At the university," Cooheart replied, "I gave Kao a ride because he was running late for his classes."

"What the hell," Title exclaimed angrily, "what did you do that for? Is that part of your services for your tenant?"

"Calm your tits, Title," Cooheart said, starting to get upset, "I was just being a good Samaritan because he mentioned that he would get in trouble with his professor."

"But that's not your problem, Earth!"

"Oh I'm not Cooheart anymore to you now?" Cooheart asked in a teasing tone.

"I mean I'm not telling you what to do but you might want to refrain from doing extra favors to your tenant. Your tenant might get used to it and will soon start to expect you to do it for him every time."

"He has a name, Title. His name is Kao."

"Whatever," Title said moodily, "be ready before eleven."
