Title's POV
I'm willing to forgive Cooheart for letting a week pass without calling me. Classes have started so he must be very busy. I am busy with my studies too but I would have set aside at least a few minutes to ask how my friend is doing. I would have wanted to initiate the conversation but I was worried that I would be interrupting his homework or whatever else he has to do in relation to his studies. I only hope that he hasn't gotten distracted by that assistant cook of his uncle, Frank, was that his name now. Cooheart can get easily distracted to the point of forgetting that he has a good and loyal friend waiting for him back in his country.
With this last anxious thought lodged in my brain, I got into my car and drove myself to school.
I tried to pay close attention to the heavy traffic leading to the university. It was a bumper to bumper situation and I didn't want to get into any accidents.
I should stop driving myself to school. I should just walk to school. Given that it's a good almost half hour walk from my house, I still should make the effort. Not only will I be burning unwanted calories but I will also be spared the stress of finding an almost non-existent parking spot inside the campus.
I vowed that starting tomorrow I would walk to school.
The first day of classes wasn't too bad or too boring. I got to meet all my classmates from last semester.

For those who don't know him, he is Nicky Nachat Juntapun. He played the role of June in Dark Blue Kiss.
"Hey, Title!"
Please, no, not him. He's not even my classmate. He's two years ahead of me. The only reason he talks to me is because he wants news about Cooheart. I have always had the sneaky suspicion that he has a secret crush on Cooheart. Sorry, pal, I'm not giving you the time of day.
"Title!"
Shit, can't he take the hint that I'm ignoring him?
"Hey," he grabbed my wrist upon reaching me, "it's good to see you again."
I was sorely tempted to say, "Let go of my wrist or I'll kick you in the shin", but I held my peace.
"So how has your first day back to university been?" Shit, he let go of my wrist but only to rest his arm across my shoulder.
Damn, can't he see in my face that I'm in no mood to talk?
"I had a blast," I replied, hoping that he would hear the sarcasm dripping from my voice.
"That's great!" he exclaimed. I was sure that he was pretending that he did not notice the sarcastic reply and the smirk that went with it.
"Hey, has Cooheart gotten in touch with you yet?"
He did not even wait for some respectable period of time before letting on what his real motive for talking to me was.
"No," I lied.
"That's a bummer," he remarked, "he must be so busy settling down in his new environment. Or maybe he has met new friends who he judges to be better than us."
"Don't include me in that category," I wanted to say, but again, I held my peace.
Because I was walking faster than usual, I reached my car soon enough and then turned to him, "I gotta go, Nicky."
"Okay, Title. If ever he calls you, can you please tell him I said 'hi'?"
"Don't you have his contact number?" I asked.
"I do but he doesn't pick up. My calls keep going straight to his voicemail."
"And don't you leave any messages?" I asked again.
"No," he replied, his face looking really downcast that for a minute there I felt some compassion for him.
"Why won't you?" I was curious to know.
"What's the point? If he saw all my missed calls, wouldn't he have returned them by now?"
I shrugged. If Cooheart didn't want to talk to him, I certainly wasn't going to act as his bridge.
"If ever he calls me, I will say 'hi' to him for you," I promised before getting inside my car.
He watched me drive away with a sad smile and a brief weak wave of his hand.
Cooheart's house was closer to my university than my house was. As I turned into the street where both our houses were located, I caught sight of P'Kao walking back to his new boarding house from university. He had a black backpack hoisted across his back. It seemed heavy and loaded with textbooks. He was still a good ten minutes or so away from Cooheart's house. The thought of offering him a ride since my route was the same as his, entered my mind. But then again, nah, I told myself. I knew nothing about him and wouldn't know the first thing to say to him. The ride would only turn awkward.
I picked up speed, hoping that he would not see my face as I drove past him.
Before too long I was back home.
My phone started to ring even before I reached my front door.
Cooheart was video calling me!
I almost dropped my phone when I saw his red and puffy eyes and tear stricken cheeks. What the hell.
Forgetting to unlock the front door, I dropped my backpack and sat on the front steps and swiped on my phone screen.
"Title! I wanna go home!"
"Why? What's going on, sweetheart?" Shit, in my anxiety, the 'sweetheart' slipped out of my mouth.
"I'm feeling so homesick and lonely here! The atmosphere here is so different from ours! I can't concentrate on my studies!"
"Just hang in there, Cooheart. Things will get better after a while," I tried to comfort him.
"No, I don't think so! I just finished talking to my mom! I was able to convince her that I should go back home!"
"But your room is now occupied!" I just remembered seeing Kao earlier, walking from the university on my way back home.
"That won't be a problem. I told mom that I would take out the foldable bed that's in my closet and use it temporarily in the hallway outside my bedroom."
Oh shit, I thought in a panic, things are going to get complicated.
"I'll call you back in a few," I said, cutting the call.
I felt guilty about not trying to comfort Cooheart a bit longer but I needed to go and pay a visit to Mrs. Namwirote.
I stood up and unlocked my front door, tossed my backpack inside and locked the door. Then I quickly went back to my car and drove myself to Cooheart's house.
I could tell from Rose's panicked face when she opened the door to my buzz that Cooheart had already dropped the bomb.
Rose quickly led me inside with a whispered, "Go talk to Mrs. Namwirote. You might be able to calm her down."
"Where is she?" I asked.
"She's in her office. She took Cooheart's call from her office," Rose replied.
I opened the door to her office without knocking.
Mrs. Namwirote was sitting on the office couch with her back to me. She and Kao were locked in an embrace.
Kao's eyes widened upon seeing me, then his face changed into a defensive expression. He was not even bothering to let go of Mrs. Namwirote.
"Mom!" I exclaimed, very much upset.
Mrs. Namwirote turned around sharply to face me, a startled expression on her face, but she wasn't letting go of Kao as well.
What in bloody hell!!!
