Cute
You smile widely as you leave your online house. "Mochi!" You chime cheerfully.
"Someone's in a good mood." Mochi comments.
"These past few days have been great. But I hope I didn't leave you hanging...?" You frown slightly.
"Not at all. Im glad you're happy though. I like the sound of your voice when you are." He comments. You blink in surprise before giggling lightly.
"I'll keep that in mind Mochi." You hum.
"So... Did you make a new friend or something?" He inquires.
"Yeah. He's new at school, and for some reason he has taken a shine to me... I think." You breathe thoughtfully.
"I'm sure he has." He rumbles. "What do you want to do today?" His question makes your mind go blank.
".... I don't know. I just wanted to see you..." You admit quietly. He pauses and hums.
"Well I can't play long. So how about we complete a mission or two?" He suggests.
"Alright. Sounds good." You smile, glancing at your phone when it vibrates. You shift and check it finding a message from Dogtooth.
'Want to take a walk with me later?'
You smile a bit, 'Sure, when and where?' You message back, starting to hum cheerfully.
"What are you humming about?" Mochi makes you focus on the game.
"Going to see my new friend later." You smile thoughtfully as you both head off to the mission.
"Sounds like you really like hanging out with him." He comments and you pause.
"... He kind of reminds me of you. So it's fun. He's awesome... Like you." You breathe thoughtfully.
"I'm flattered... Just dont forget to come play with me on here okay?" He says. You frown lightly at that.
"Of course I won't... You're my best friend." You murmur. He stops and turns to you.
"And you're mine.... Minotaur coming up behind you." He alerts. You turn swiftly, drawing your sword. He dispatches it after you get a swing in and you both carry on after looting it.
After you two complete a few missions, Mochi says goodbye and logs off. You turn off your console and smile to yourself. It was nice playing with him even if you didn't have much to talk about.
You check your phone seeing Dogtooth's message. "Near water park in twenty minutes." You read aloud before getting up and changing out of your home clothes before heading out to meet him.
You pick up the pace, smile spreading across your lips as you spot him. He offers a small wave as you start for him quickly. "Hey." You hum when you reach him.
"Hello, hope I didn't interrupt anything." He greets.
"I was just playing Steel with my friend. Sorry if you waited too long. I haven't played with him in a minute." You smile sheepishly, rubbing your cheek.
"I don't mind. I understand completely." He assures thoughtfully. You smile more meeting his gaze.
"So what's up? Were you bored or something?" You ask.
"Or something..." He looks away briefly. You tilt your head and he meets your gaze again. "And I'd like to get to know the town better." He adds.
"Then lets get lost together." You smile putting your hands behind your head. He pauses, looking at you for a few moments. "... That... Sounds-"
"It's fine. Lets do that then." He assures looking away.
"Alright. I brought my wallet anyway." You hum starting off. You walk together quietly for a bit and that didn't bother you. This was content.
Before long you find yourself at the edge of town, peering into a pet shop. "Yep. I have no idea where I am."
"This is different from what I've seen." He nods.
"Then we're lost... Oh, I didn't know they had one of those here." You peer at a small game store.
"Shall we?" He inquires.
"Sure." You smile heading inside with him.
"Look. Is there any way you can get it sooner?" Law was questioning the guy at the counter.
"Well yeah but it'll still take a week or two to get it. Dungeon Souls X is kinda rare now." The guy says giving a nervous smile as Law grows more annoyed.
"Of course.." He grumbles turning to leave and pausing when he sees you. "Oh, hey." He gives a nod.
"Hey. You're looking for Dungeon Souls X?" You ask tilting your head. "I got it if you want to borrow it." He blinks in surprise before smiling.
"Thanks ___, wouldn't have guessed you would even play games like those." He comments raising an eyebrow.
"Its one of my raging games. Helps me calm down." You shrug. Law and Dogtooth share a glance at that.
"Well, I'm impressed, thanks again. Now I'm going to get my money back." He rumbles going back to the counter. You smile a bit to yourself before going over to check out the games.
"Some relics here." Dogtooth comments, touching one.
"Oh wow. I remember that one too. I think those graphics would give me a headache now... Too bad, it had a nice story too." You murmur peering at it thoughtfully. Another one catches your eye and you pick it up. "Mochi told me about this one..."
"That's a good game." Dogtooth agrees. You pause briefly looking up at him. "What?" He hums.
"You sounded like him just now." You admit looking at the game. "I'm going to buy this." You decide starting for the counter, passing Law on his way out.
"See you at school ___." He says.
"Have a good day Law." You smile back before paying for the game and heading back out with Dogtooth. You both pause when his phone buzzes. He checks it briefly before sighing. "You okay?"
"Pudding just messaged me, mom's having a fit about something." He informs you.
"Oh, do you need to go home?" You ask carefully.
"No. Its best to stay away when she's angry." He says quietly. You blink in surprise at the information. Seemed like a touchy subject that you didn't want to press. So you carefully touch his hand.
"Well, you're always welcome at my house." You smile lightly when he blinks at you. His eyes light up a bit and there's a glint in them.
"I'll keep that in mind, thank you ___." He hums. You pause again and he looks around the block. "Seems to be an antique shop here too, want to check it out?" He points.
"Yeah. Lets go."
You spent most of the day finding your way back home and stopping in new shops but not really buying anything. When you finally reach home it was late. You check your phone after seeing the empty drive way.
"It's pretty late Dogtooth. Want to spend the night?" You look up at him.
"... I'm sorry... Could you repeat that.." He requests carefully.
"Do you want to spend the night? It's already eleven." You point out scratching your cheek. Honestly you didn't feel secure being home alone at night. He watches you for a moment.
"Yeah. Lets get inside." He tells you, touching your shoulder. You smile and lead him inside at that.
"I'm going to see if I can find something for you. Make yourself at home." You tell him before going upstairs.
When you come back down you find him in your bedroom playing Battle Scar. You peer at the screen, placing the clothes you had found for him beside him. You crawl onto the bed, sitting on his other side. "Damn you make that look easy."
"Were you having trouble with it?" He peers at you.
"Stage 15, the duel fighters suck." You grumble folding your arms.
"Stage 15 out of 100..." He murmurs. You pause, was that a slight tease in his voice? You huff and push his shoulder though it doesnt budge.
"I'm just not good at these games okay?" You scoff in slight embarrassment.
"That's okay." He says in amusement. You just huff and lean on him, watching him play. He gets to stage 20 before putting down the controller. You blink, looking over at him as he checks the sizes on the clothes. "Should fit." He murmurs. "I'll take a shower. Where would you like me to sleep?" His question makes you pause.
"Hm... It's probably best if you stay in here. Mom hasn't met you yet so she might mistake you for a random drunk guy that's broke in... Again." You muse.
"Again...?" He echoes.
"Yeah, one time this random drunk guy broke into the guest room and fell asleep on the bed. Scared the hell out of mom when she passed by the door. Good thing I could talk her out of calling the cops..." You mutter.
"... Why?" He inquires.
"It was Zoro. He said sorry but he was lost and recognized my house." You shrug. "That's happened twice now..."
"... I'm concerned now." He says before going out. You blink and giggle lightly at that.
"Cute..." You murmur under your breath and stretching back on your bed. 'But, there's not enough room for me to sleep on the floor... Should I sleep on the couch?' You blink up at the ceiling and yawn quietly.
"Unfortunately the shirt is too small." His voice sounds after a while. You look over and freeze when you see him in the doorway, wearing only sweat pants and a medical mask with the shirt in his hands. Tattooed body glistening slightly from the shower. He blinks when you don't speak. "Sorry if this is bothering you..."
"N-Nope not at all.." You manage getting up. Dear god, you were probably redder than a lobster right now. "You can have the bed," You breathe, eyeing a spot to sleep.
"Don't make yourself uncomfortable on my account ___." He says softly, touching your shoulder. You pause and meet his gaze, feeling his body heat so close to you, the image of his bare chest crawling back into your head. This was just too much.
"Captain I'm going down." You whisper, before promptly passing out. He catches you eyes wide.
"... Oh my I broke her..."
Your eyes ease open to your ceiling, lit by the morning light that creeped in from the window. You glance at your alarm clock and sit up. "We're late!" You whisper sitting up. You look over at his back, eyes trailing the tattoo that was visible on his back. You swallow, hesitantly patting his shoulder. "Dogtooth, school." You murmur lightly. He hums lightly, peering back sleepily, eyebrows scrunching together in a look of protest. You blink at the expression and smile a bit. "Morning."
"Morning... Are you feeling well?" He asks lightly, sitting up as well.
"Yeah... Sorry, did I fall asleep?" You yawn, rubbing your neck. He blinks at you before nodding carefully.
"... Yes..." He breathes. You apologize again before you both move to get ready for school.
"I'm such an awful host... You washed your own clothes because I feel asleep..." You frown as you both walk to school.
"Don't beat yourself up..." He says, touching your shoulder.
"And I didn't even think about breakfast..." You sigh, his stomach agrees loudly at that. He puts a hand over it, looking away as you look at it with a pout. "I promise I'll at least feed you. Dont growl at me." You tell it. He pulls up his scarf a bit, red touching the tops of his ears.
"... Don't talk to my stomach..." He murmurs.
"Why not? It's talking to me." You smile a bit playfully at his new demeanor. His stomach growls in response again. "See?"
"___..." He murmurs again. You smile more at that.
"Come on, I know where there's a great little food truck." You take his arm leading him for a detour.
