Chapter 3

"HONEYPAW?!"
Lionpaw turned around from in front of Honeypaw's body and closely examined his sister. His sister's eyes were bulging out of her skull, her mouth stretched open in a forever snarl, claws still ready to strike at any moment.  "Honeypaw, where are you?!" He looked around for the familiar sparkle she had always carried around in her eyes. Instead, the eyes he'd always loved seeing stared duly up at the moonless sky. "H-honeypaw?" He couldn't believe she was actually dead. He brushed a paw over her blue eyes, and felt endless grief overwhelm him. Why, Honeypaw, why?!
Fernpaw sprinted over. "Lionpaw, where's Honeypaw-" she stopped mid sentence and gasped. "Lionpaw, what did you do?!"
"S-she's dead..." Lionpaw's once fluffy mane was dripping in blood, and most of the fur was gone from it. "Honeypaw vowed to me that we would become warriors together, and become elders together, and die together. It's not going ever happen now. Never."
Fernpaw backed off in horror at Lionpaw whispering words over Honeypaw's body.
"It's time we went to sleep, we'll deal with her in the morning." Flowerstar's voice, tainted with sadness, gently escorting the gold and red grieving tom to the apprentice den. Lionpaw collapsed into his new nest, but thought of something before sleeping. He ran to the nursery and picked up the tiny nest where Honeypaw used to sleep, carried it to his new den and snuggled it as he fell into a troubled blackness.
Lionpaw walked out the next morning to a bustling Clan. Bramblesplash and his apprentice, Dirtpaw, were rushing to do everything they could to heal everyone's injuries. Lionpaw was snapped out of his daze when Goldenpelt padded towards him, limping a little. "You did great, Lionpaw. If you'd been an apprentice for longer you would've become an early warrior!" She joked. "Your bravery is needed in the Clan." Lionpaw immediately felt a little better at the praise from his mother. He suddenly felt sore throughout his whole body from the wounds, and laid down under some shade on the open moor. Pretty soon, one of them ran over to Lionpaw. He looked in horror at the heavily scarred cat. "W-what happened?" Dirtpaw breathed.
"Just wounds," he waved it away. "Do I look absolutely horrifying to you?"
"Um, not necessarily..." Dirtpaw looked confused.
"Ok, we're fine, now can you please treat this leg? It hurts really bad..." Lionpaw struggled to nudge the leg a little so the medicine cat could see what he was talking about.
                           *~~~~~~*
As he padded slowly back to his nest, still grieving for his favorite sister, he felt multiple glares hit on him. He raised his head to get a better look. What's happening? Lionpaw quickly trotted back to the medicine den.
"Bramblesplash, what's going on?" Lionpaw was confused over the tension in the camp.
"Haven't you heard? They say you killed Honeypaw." Bramblesplash also looked a bit confused. "I don't think it's true though,"
"WHY WOULD IT BE TRUE?!" He was outraged to have this rumor even being thought about. Honeypaw was his favorite cat in all the Clans. He couldn't believe someone actually thought he had killed the most likable cat in WindClan. He stomped out of the medicine den. "I'll be right back." He clenched his teeth.
"Fernpaw, can we, take a walk outside the camp for a little bit?"
"What's wrong, Lionpaw?" Fernpaw certainly looked concerned. Maybe it's not her after all, he doubted. After all, they were siblings. Fernpaw's voice broke into his thoughts just then. "So what did you want to tell me?"
"Um, well, uh..." Somehow, Lionpaw felt like something was stuck in his throat. He stared at Fernpaw blankly. "Come on, I don't have all day!" Fernpaw mewed hastily. "I have another patrol just about now."
"Well, um..." Lionpaw gathered up his courage.

"I heard you killed Honeypaw."
