💀C H A P T E R T W O💀
The moment Mia entered the venue, she gasped at how crowded the place was.
It's a party, idiot. Of course it's crowded. Mia fought the urge to facepalm herself.
She made her way to the seats, making sure she was seated near the tables where all sorts of food were displayed.
Well, this is a party after all, so I better make the most of it by enjoying the food.
Soon, the party began. The MC, who turned out to be Mia's Biology teacher, handled the party by following the program. And after an hour, the program was over. The principal finally announced that the real party begins.
It's party time.
The crowd cheered. In a matter of seconds the dancefloor was crowded with people dancing and having fun as they moved with the music.
During all that fun, Mia suddenly regretted attending the party. She felt even more alone when she realized that she was one of the few people who chose to stay in their seat.
She never wanted to go, it was her mom who wanted her to attend.
The music changes from party music to slow romance, turning Mia's awkward level to the max. Not long after, the dancefloor was slowly getting empty, leaving the love birds in the middle of the dance floor.
Sana all...
Mia let out a sigh. Sometimes she wondered what it's like to be loved by someone. In life, she had always been in the third person's point of view.
She witnessed how one of her older cousins got married two years ago, she witnessed couples on a date while at the park, she even witnessed her parents kiss on their wedding anniversary last year. And now this, infront of her was a dancefloor with five or three couples dancing almost kissing each other. Almost.
Come to think of it, she never had any suitors. Not even a confession of someone who liked her.
Not wanting to look like an idiot to everyone by staring out to space, she diverted her attention to the food on her plate and began nibbling on it slowly, occasionally playing with her phone praying that time would flow faster so her mother could pick her up and go home.
Hours passed, the teachers and faculty members had already left the party to attend their own, leaving the program for the school council to handle.
"Alright, listen up everybody! I have something to say!" The crowned prom queen as always-- Melissa said through the microphone grabbing everyone's attention. Including Mia's.
"That girl right there is the campus loser." Melissa pointed at Mia. The whole attention was suddenly on her like a spotlight.
"How 'bout we give her something that she deserves?" Melissa said and walked down through the crowded dancefloor towards her.
Mia's whole body trembled in fear with every step Melissa took.
Her highschool bully stood infront of her like a bird eyeing its prey. Then, a random student gave Melissa an object which she realized was a raw egg.
But before she could react, a gooey substance came running down her forehead as she froze. Melissa had dumped the raw egg on her head before leaning back with a snicker. "And that, is what you deserve." She said before walking away. "Guys what are you waiting for? Give it to her!"
Not long after Melissa disappeared into the crowd, more eggs and different sorts of food came raining down on her.
Most of the people were not throwing random food at her, but none of them ever made a move to help her. Too afraid that they will also suffer the same way if they stood up against Melissa. She was a daughter of a very influential family after all.
All Mia ever did was cover herself with her arms as the food kept raining down on her, staining her dress.
What did I ever do to deserve this? Mia asked herself as tears started to roll down her cheeks.
