Dark's PoV -

It's early spring and buds on trees and flowers or just starting to come back to life. Sadly that means my heat is coming soon too. Like all the other monsters in Hyrule I will soon be having a week long insaciable need for sex.

I sigh dramatically at the thought. I'm currently resting under a small shade tree near the sacred grounds while attempting to read a book but my mind keeps wandering. This is my first heat with Link as my boyfriend. I should probably tell him about it but it's embarrassing and I hate being generalized as a monster since only monsters and animals have heat.

I put my book back into my bag realizing that I won't be able to get my mind back in the headspace to read. Instead I lay back in the grass and watch the clouds form shapes. It's very relaxing and I'm soon on the precipice of sleep. A loud noise wakes me from my rest. I quickly sit up to find two bokoblins. They make inhuman noises that I understand as their mating call. My face flushes red. Stupid reminder. Stupid for waking me up. Stupid bokoblins. I quickly grab my dark royal guard sword and attack the annoying reminders of what I am. I make quick work of them and their corpses turn to dust. I wipe the bulk of the blood dripping from my sword on the grass.

An older man walks by, having seen my actions. "Look at that, a horny monster killing another horny monster."

Most of the young people of Hyrule accept me but some of the older citizens still despise me. I sigh, "You shouldn't be wandering around this time of year. Stay in town. Monsters are more aggressive when their in heat," I reply biting my tongue to avoid saying anything too rude.

The old man mumbles something but I'm already walking away so I can't hear his rude comment. Maybe I'll need to stay away from Link during my heat. I don't want to be to aggressive towards him. I don't even know if he wants to claim me in that way. I'll just hide from him. I can travel the world and sleep under crumbling ruins like I used to. I'll need to pack for my travels first. I quickly make my way to Castle Town.

I find some shops selling the supplies I will need. I stock up on arrows, meat, and produce. I tuck my goods away in my bag. I think I'm ready. I just need to let Link know of my trip before I head out. I quietly walk into our shared house and find a piece of paper and an quill pen. Link and Zelda are touring the castle armory now to make sure everything is in good shape. The king won't allow me inside the castle so I couldn't join them. I quickly write a note.

Link,
I decided to take a short trip throughout Hyrule. I will only be gone a week or so. No need to worry. I love you!

I place the note on our desk where I know my lover will see it. I quickly leave Castle Town and make my way to the nearest stable. I'll need a horse for my travels. On the way I notice several more monsters in heat. Some cry out with want and other pursue their love interest. I quickly destroy the monsters both out of a duty to protect Hyrule and out of a personal vandeta for being reminded of our similarity. That must mean I'm very close to the start of my heat if so many other monsters are already in theirs.

Finally, I arrive at River Side Stable. I'm already feeling my heat set in by the time I reach the stable. It's now late evening and the sky is beginning to darken. By nightfall I will likely be in full heat. I already feel pressure building in my stomach and lower regions. I tug at my tunic to make sure I'm covering any embarrassing signs of my heat. I walk up to the stable man behind the desk. "Hello, I would like to take out one of my horses," I state, noticing a slight whining tone in my voice.

"Okay, we can do that but are you sure you would not prefer to stay the night and leave in the morning. It's dangerous at night," the man states.

"I'm sure, I need to get going," I try and fail to cover the want in my voice.

"Okay, if you insist."

With that a stable worker brings, Anope, my all black horse out to me. I quickly saddle the horse and mumble a quick "thank you" to the workers before quickly trotting away.

I lead Anope to the nearest abandoned shelter. "Oh, ngh..." I lean down in the saddle. The steady trotting of the horse testing me. "Mmmm..." I whine.

A part of me wants to give in to the building pressure but another part of me wants to ignore this feeling at all costs. I straightened myself on the saddle and try to ignore the ever increasing pressure and erection teasing me. Somehow ignoring in only making the feeling stronger. "Ngh...oh...shit..." I growl still trying to ignore it.

Goddess, I want Link so bad. Why did I ever leave him? Then I notice some bokoblins around a campfire... mating. Yeah, that's why I left. I'm just like them and I don't want Link to think of me in that way. Instead of charging at the bokoblins and destroying them I instead ignore them and keep on my journey. I fear that I will crumple to my knees in lust the moment I leave this saddle.

Finally, I find a large hollowed out open tree laying on its side. I stop Anope and quietly slide off her saddle. As I feared, I land on my knees. "Oh...ah...shit..." I grown.

It's too much to bear. I drag myself into the hollow tree. Quietly I lay on my side trying to get some sleep and ignore the lust in me. Eventually, the lust wins out and I slowly trail a hand down my body. I make small noises of pleasure but my noises of lust become noises of fear as a blinding yellow light surrounds me paired with terrible bolts of electricity being sent up my spine.

Link's PoV -

Why did Dark leave? He's never left on his own before. Did I make him mad? What could I have done? I'm worried about him. Some citizens still don't like him, what if they try to hurt him and I'm not there to protect him? What if a monster attacks him? They are more aggressive this time of year.

I pace our room in thought. It's already late, night is starting to fall. I just got back from our tour of the armory. Was Dark upset that he wasn't allowed to go with us? I don't blame him, the king is rather mean to Dark. Maybe I should have stayed with him... I need Zelda's advice.

With Darks note in hand I hurry to the castle. I find Zelda's room and knock before entering. She's at her desk reading a book about shrines. "Hey, I need your advice," I state and sit down next to the princess, "Dark left this note telling me he will be gone for a week. I'm just worried about him and I don't know if I should follow him. Monsters are aggressive this time of year. What if he gets hurt?"

Zelda reads the note and chuckles a bit. "You know why he left don't you?" She asks.

"No, why? What's so funny?" I question.

"You said it yourself, monsters are aggressive this time of year but why are they aggressive?" Zelda states.

"I hope your not saying my Dark is a monster! He is far from it and you know that!" I scold.

Zelda chuckles some more only making me more aggravated, "I don't think Dark is a monster but technically speaking he is. He was created by Ganon after all. Why are all of Ganon's creations particularly aggressive in early spring... because they're in heat. They're all looking for a mate and consumed by their lust. Perhaps Dark was embarrassed by this and didn't want you to see him in that state."

"Oh. Why would he ever think I would think less of him for that? Either way he must be in no shape to travel right now especially at night. Poor Dark, I have to go find him. Thanks for the advice, Zelda!" With that I rush off into the night. I quickly board Epona at the Castle Town stables and hurry off into the night.

Dark probably went to River Side Stable first to get his horse. I quickly ride there. Maybe he took a bed there for the night. I arrive at the stables. It's late and almost everyone is asleep except for a few workers. "Have you seen my shadow, Dark Link, come by here?" I question.

"Yes, he took his horse out. I tried to get him to stay the night here but he insisted on leaving. Is he okay, his voice sounded a bit... whiney?" The stable man replies.

"Thanks for the information, I have to go now," I quickly ride away.

Whiney... Poor Dark, his heat was already setting in. He would be looking for a secluded place to stay the night. Some type of shelter. I ride Epona as fast as she will go. I follow the trail searching for any signs of shelter. Perhaps an abandoned house, some ruins, maybe an old hollow tree. A flash of yellow lights up the trail far ahead of me. I see it off in the distance. Is that a Thunder Wizzrobe? Shoot, that's near the old hollow tree. Maybe Dark's there?! I push Epona as fast as she will go.

I pass Bokoblin campfires and hear the sounds of their heat as I pass. Knowing Dark he likely compares himself to those low life monsters, especially since he's experiencing the same thing they are. Another flash of yellow light blinds me. I'm close. A all black horse I know as Anope gallops past Epona apparently scared of whatever lies ahead. Poor Dark! I follow where Anope came running from. A giant hollow felled tree lays in front of me. Flashes of yellow splash out the sides. I hear crying and pleads for mercy coming from inside my heart breaks as I realize that's Darks voice.

I jump off Epona in a hurry. Arrows readied for combat. Inside my lover lays half exposed with a wizzrobe straddling him. Dark winces at the electric shocks the monster sends through his body and from where it grips his shoulders. Poor Dark, he seems so weak. I shoot the wizzrobe in the head causing it to fall off my lover. With furry and pure hatred I attack the wizzrobe with the master sword. Electric shocks course through me blinding my vision but my fury is enough to keep me going. With a tight grip on my beloved sword I finish the wizzrobe splitting it down the middle. It vanishes into dust.

I quickly sheath my sword and attend to Dark. He looks so weak. Clear liquids coat his thighs and torso. I was too late. "Dark? My love!" I gently pick up my love and hold him close to me.

Tears well in his eyes and he twitches no doubt still feeling the effects of the electricity now inside him. "Dark, why would you think I would be embarrassed of you? I love you Dark and I accept you for who you are. There was never a need to hide from me." I hold my love close to me. Tears pour from my eyes as Dark lays shaking in my arms. I gently press a fairy tonic to his lips and watch as he gently drinks from the vile. Slowly life seems to creep back into my boyfriend. "I'm so... sorry, Link," Dark cry's as he places a hand to his stomach obviously mourning the fact I will never be his 'first'.

"Shhh, you're okay, don't be sorry, I got you," I cuddle Dark, "Now, let's go home."

I gently pull Dark's clothes back on him. I carry him to Epona and situate him so he sits in front of me facing me. His legs wrap around mine and his arms hold me close. I let Epona lead the way as I hold Dark. Heat obviously starts to rise in my lover's body again much to his dismay. Tears still fall from his beautiful red eyes as blush consumes his face and small whimpers escape his lips. I gently hold him close and pet his hair allowing Dark to cry and moan into my shoulders.

Anope joins us and steadily trots beside Epona now not so afraid. Soon we make it back to Castle Town as the sun begins to rise. People are already filling the streets. It would be embarrassing for Dark for everyone to hear his whimpering so I gently place part of my tunic in his mouth. Dark seems to understand why and bites down into the fabric to stifle his moans. He nuzzles his face into my neck while pretending to be asleep. Instead of taking Epona and Anope to the stables I ride the horses to our home. I don't want Dark to be seen in his state. I gently take Dark inside our home and lay him on our shared bed. The moment he's layed down a loud moan escapes him, "Ngh... Link."

I blush at the sight and I feel tightness rise through me as well. "Please... uh... I need... you," Dark whimpers.

"Dark, you're not thinking right in this state. I don't want to use you." As much as I want him I can't hurt him. I refuse to use him in the same way the wizzrobe did.

"No... ugh... not using... meeee... just need... ngh... you..." Dark moans now trying to pull me on top of him.

"Are you sure?" I straddle him.

"Goddess... Yes!"

I gently place a kiss on his lips. "Okay, let me know what you need and tell me if you want me to stop."

Dark eagerly nods and begins pulling his clothes off. He's so beautiful. I gently insert myself into my lover listening to his beautiful moans. We mingle in tandom. Our bodies hungrily feeling each other in the most intimate of ways. Finally, I claim Dark, making sure he and everyone knows who he belongs to. I fill him with me making him forget all about the monster who hurt him. I'm sure those terrible memories and the mental pain will come up again but I'll be here to help him through it. With beautiful cry's of lust Dark finishes under me. We are both covered in sweat and other liquids as we lay down next to each other. Dark's needs having been taking care of for the time being, likely to return soon.

     Dark lays against me with his eyes closed. Soon I listen to his cute snoring as he snuggles into my neck.
