Marcelo was at home drinking his coffee when he opens the newspaper with droopy eyes and decides to go to bed.

The next day he wakes up at 5:30 am, the bus is full, he saw the day pass between his eyes. His friend Thaddeus approaches him and asks:

--Always thinking no? You were promoted to production manager, soon you will become an engineer leaving Brazil. Jump on the beaches and rivers there.

--What's the problem with the beaches and rivers of Brazil, I've never heard of a Gringo who comes here to see a Brazilian museum on vacation.

--Serious? In other states, here there is only Tiete and the river is so polluted that the rust catches tetanus in it.

--Really.

At home Marcelo packs his truck, puts a shovel and a bucket in the trunk. A while later, standing on the banks of the Tiete, he picks up the bucket and the shovel from the van and starts removing the dirt from the river.

And so it went into the night, the day came along with the high school students, some stopped and laughed and others ignored it. He worked and worked, when asked what he was doing the answer was as simple as what he did.

--Cleaning the river, do you want to help?

At night he was at home when he opens the newspaper and sees the headline: "Crazy tries to clean up the Tiete River with a shovel and a bucket".

Marcelo calls the company and says he wouldn't go to work, the answer that everyone had read in the newspaper the boss agreed with the story and Tadeu asked if he could go because it was Saturday.

--The more people the better. Says Marcelo:

The next day two buckets on the banks of the River Tiete and the two boys working, working only more than the work they had to do was crowd of onlookers watching the two. Until a student puts another bucket on the bank of Tiete and starts cleaning with the two of them and so it went, more and more buckets, shovels, trucks, and even arms joined the exhausting task, the fishermen removed tons of dirt from the bottom with the networks.

Suddenly men appear looking like penguins in suits and ties, some of them come to Marcelo and ask him how far he would go with that insanity, it was impossible to clean Tiete.

Marcelo goes to the river, fills the bucket and walks to the penguin dressed as people and shows the bucket full of filthy water and says:

Q: The water in the bucket is dirty, rotten, filthy with your hypocrisy. Those who are doing this work here do not see it as madness, but people trying to change something, to make a difference, since the public authorities do nothing.

The man in the suit hearing this rolls up his sleeves takes the bucket starting to help. Following his example, others, machines, trucks and many professionals from all areas joining the cause and like this:

The following day on the front page of the newspaper the following article:

"Genius cleans Tiete".
