When the snow melted,

When the trees grow leaves,

When the flowers bloom,

And when the rain falls.

I still wished you're here with me.

Do you even miss me?

When the grass becomes greener,

When the sun shines bringing heat,

And when the waters become clear.

I begin to realize that you couldn't be here,

I was afraid of slowly forgetting you...

Thus, I did.

When the trees shed leaves,

When the air goes from warm to cold,

And when the pumpkins are ready for harvest.

I no longer became dependent on your presence.

But my heart still shouts your name.

❄️

When the air becomes cold,

When snow starts falling,

When streets are frozen,

And everybody goes merry.

I thought of going home...

...fearing that you are happy, me being not the reason why.

A/N: These four seasons-themed poems were meant to be teasers for an SB19 epistolary fanfiction on Twitter, to where I also had them posted. (I refuse to call the website, X) Unfortunately, I didn't get to finish the first installment due to the frequent lack of inspiration for it and... being honest to be good with what I'll say here, the nonsense that's been going on lately over at the Filipino Idol Pop music community. This must be my first toe dip into writing personal poetry.
