You took me to the top of the world

I looked out 

Across the city

Built of cinderblock and concrete

Thinking of how

No one could be as happy as I was in this moment

Because none of them had you

I laughed from the euphoria rising in my chest

And you took my hand in our sandstone tower

And pulled me close

Your breath tickled my neck as you sang 

A sweet song 

As we danced

In our castle in the clouds

And we swayed and spun and slipped through

Beat after syncopated, soft, sultry beat

Our souls rose

And so did we

Prancing and dancing 

Over an eternity of cold stone and colder heart

Our heads dizzy from pirouettes, height and lust 

We feel into each others arms exhausted

By our intense need

For each other

So we spun a new world

Where only we would live

Eating banana pancakes

And whirled uninterrupted in the rain

Without the distractions of real life

And we danced and prayed we'd never come down
