Emily's POV
I found myself lost in the woods. Where was I? What happened? I toured the forest and came upon a demolished cottage. I walked up to it where I saw a huge bat and a dragon tossing and turning in the air. It was terrifying so I ran back up the hill. Before I knew it, a heavy weight landed on me. I was unconscious for a while.
I felt the soothing breeze grooming my face. My hair was blowing wildly in the wind. I felt myself floating. I finally woke up and opened my eyes. I blinked once then twice then.... A million times to know if what I was seeing was true. I was flying. I stretched out my arms like an eagle and soared over the semi familiar forest. "weeeeee" I beamed as I flew. I looked down and saw a shadow above mine. Flying right above me. I looked up and saw a despicable creature. It held me by my dress with its retched feet. I screamed "let go off me you beast!" I wiggled myself to get free from its grip but I failed.
"shut up Emily. It's just me" I heard it spoke like a familiar human girl. "Lilith?" I screamed in shock. I was about to have a panic attack. "it's just because we are in the after life I become like this. So calm down" she warned and I listened. Heck I didn't want her to drop me from 100 ft. "what are you? What is going on? What am I doing here? " I demanded answers. "you died." she simply stated without looking down at me. I got speechless. My breath stopped. I died???? I didn't even live to see 20 years. I didn't even tell my loved ones goodbye. And Mason. A tear ran from my eye. "you miss them don't you?" she asked ignorantly. "Who wouldn't miss their family?" I spat. "me. Since I don't have any" she said without emotion. I felt sorry for her. No one deserves that kind of life.
"Lilith, am so sor-" "I can bring you back" she cut me off. I was overwhelmed by that news. I could get to live again. "only if we go back to the way things were. You with the popular clique avoiding and bullying me and I by myself as the misfit" she finally looked down at me seriously. Her eyes... Was just pure black. Her skin white as snow and the wings black and bent abnormally. She looked bruised, sore and.... Dying.
"deal" I nodded. She smirked. "good. Sleep tight" with that she let go of me and I fell.
I was screaming through the air. As I got closer and closer to the ground it became further. I should have hit the ground by now. I panicked as I saw the earth starting to open up. Oh no. I screamed but my voice was faint. The earth finally swallowed me in its darkness.
