Your emotions were like a dark rain cloud filled with thunderstorms about to roar fiercely. The words that Mary woman had told you made you feel as if you could punch through walls and explode at anyone who dared to irritate you the slightest. Jealousy had been most present within you especially now that she's in the picture. But it even irked you the most when she looked down at you, and had told that you weren't worth to be Arthur's because of your social status -- that of you being an outlaw.

You raised up the reigns, putting Ace to a halt as you dismounted him almost immediately without acknowledging a pat or compliment to your companion. Your feet dragged heavily across the camp, eventually turning into stomps with your head downcast towards the ground while you walked towards your tent. Sitting yourself onto your cot, you took a few deep breaths in hopes of calming your self before you did something you'll regret.

No one dared to step over your boundaries as you practically radiated with fury. But there was one brave individual who always had good intentions and decided to take a leap of faith, whether you lash out on him or not.

"(Name), sweetheart." You know that gentle voice anywhere, it was able to give you comfort even in situations like these. "Y' alright if I come in?"

Your head nodded faster than a bullet. Hosea was one of the very few people you didn't mind having a conversation with even after having such a shitty encounter. "O-of course, Hosea! Please, come in."

The older man sat right across from you, flashing you his signature warm smile, but with a hint of concern. "I know it's obvious, but I noticed you came back alone without Arthur. Did something happen during your ride with him?"

You placed a hand on the back of your neck, stifling a chuckle as you suddenly felt embarrassed with how you must have looked like in front of the camp. "Oh, it's uh... It's nothing, Hosea. Some petty shit, but it's nothing too serious."

"Even when you were storming off inside your tent?" The older man's voice was gentle as usual, but it did enough to convince you of wanting to tell him the whole truth. "Okay, fine. I'll tell you everything."

"Atta girl." Hosea beamed, nudging his head to signal you to get up. "Come along now. I was just going to take Jack on a fishing trip, care to join us?"

You nodded your head in agreement. Hosea took on the role of being a father-figure that you've never had, and Jack sort of felt like a nephew to you, since he always called you auntie (it was uncle when you were still Stranger.) "I wouldn't miss it, Hosea."

Arthur set the luggages down onto the train as he let Jamie and Mary in. Glancing back, he noticed you had disappeared along with Ace, and that Scarlet was waiting alone.

"What's wrong, Arthur?" Mary asked, masquerading her tone like a sheep in wolf's clothing.

"It's (name)." Arthur answered back. "She's gone off somewhere without me. We was uh, supposed to go back at camp together."

"Oh good riddance, Arthur!" The charlatan retorted back, hopping off of the train. "Don't you go off chasing a girl who't just the same as you! A goddamn outlaw!"

"Jamie, you wait inside that train. I'm gonna have a long chat with your so-called sister filled with integrity." Arthur's voice was in a near growl, grabbing onto Mary's slim wrist as he pulled her aside. "I'm gonna need y' to repeat what y' just said about (name.)"

"That outlaw kid ain't worth your time, Arthur! We can get back together if you just clean up your act. Run away with me and leave the life that you have now... Maybe daddy will finally let you marry me."

"Is this what it's all about?!" Arthur pounded his fist onto the brick walls of the station. "She ain't a kid, Mary. The girl can handle herself just fine, and she's braver than most men out there. If y' think there's still a chance of us gettin' back together, there ain't none. That part's long gone now... I think we're done here. Tell Jamie my regards... Goodbye, Mary."

"Arthur! Arthur!!" But the outlaw didn't dare to look back at the woman he once loved, and now had no room inside his heart for her.

Mounting on to Scarlet, Arthur could hear the faint cries of his former lover, but paid no heed to her as he wanted to explain everything once he sees you again. Judging by what Mary had told him, it was evident that you were angry, and you had every right to be. But even so, he wanted to get to you, even if it's the last thing he does.

Finally getting back to camp, Arthur had noticed that your horse wasn't anywhere to be seen, which means that you weren't there either. The outlaw had looked in your tent to be sure, but there was still no sight of you.

"Y' alright there, Arthur?" A raspy tone asked from behind him. Arthur turned around to see the scar-faced outlaw, standing there with his arms crossed. "Y' look frantic, everything alright between you and (name?)"

"It's a long story." Arthur sighed, "Y' into gossiping now too, Marston?"

"It ain't so much gossipin' considering the fact that about how you two look at each other, it's just the obvious truth." John stifled a laugh, shaking his head from side to side.

"Well, how is (name?) Has she been back?" It pained Arthur not to see you right now, especially with what Mary had told you earlier at the train station. He just wished he was there to tell Mary off in front of you.

"Yeah, she was back for a bit. But she looked pissed. Ain't nobody dared to go near Black Belle's daughter. Shit, she probably woulda shot anyone if given the chance."

Arthur let out a sigh, stifling a whispered snicker as he shook his head from side to side. "Shit indeed. Y' reckon where she headed off to?"

"Last I saw her she went out fishing with Hosea and Jack." John answered back, feeling slight guilt wash over him.

"I reckon (name)'s a new sitter to Jack now? That boy's gonna need attention from his father real soon."

"Y-yeah..." John's tone was almost dismissive, clearly not wanting to discuss about his young son any further. "Just go and figure things out with (name)."

But before Arthur could go look for you, another voice in the camp called out his name. "Arthur!" That voice was known by member of the gang, and the outlaw knew that he was needed by the gang leader dressed in black.

"Can I have a word with you, son?" Dutch's tone was neutral, leaving Arthur clueless whether he was in trouble or not.

"Uh... Sure, Dutch." Arthur answered back, unsure of why he was summoned all of a sudden.

Dutch had led Arthur into the privacy of his personal quarters, fully closing the entrance of his tent once the outlaw was finally inside. Arthur sat on the chair by the opposite side of the table from Dutch, the gang leader then clasped his hands together, something that meant this was quite a serious matter that Mr. Morgan was unsure of.

"Did a certain woman gunslinger catch your eye?" Arthur had nearly choked onto his spit, not expecting to be interviewed about his love life.

"W-what makes you say that, Dutch?" The outlaw cleared his throat, now suddenly losing his usual cool composure.

The gang leader then placed his bearded chin on top of his clasped hands, a mischievous smirk forming on his lips. "Son, I can see right through ya'. It ain't a shame lovin' on someone else besides Mary for a change."

"Didn't think you was gonna ask about my feelings for (name)." Arthur admitted sheepishly. "There's just I don't know, somethin' about her I can't explain, Dutch. She's so different from them other girls. Someone who's tough as nails and can also be so... So beautiful too."

"Well, what are ya' waitin' for?" Dutch beamed out like the supportive long time friend. "I say go for it, go for it before it's too late. Arthur, you deserve to be happy again. You deserve to have someone who loves you for who you are, outlaw or not."

Dutch's words had encouraged Arthur. It had been long ago that he and Mary were sweet on one another, but that relationship became more unhealthy as the years went by. The father of Mary had made it unbearable for the poor outlaw, and Mary, she sought to change Arthur but to no avail. Maybe Dutch was right, maybe Arthur did deserve another chance to love someone else.

"I'll tell her everythin' Dutch." With that, Arthur got up to his feet and went to find you.
