pant,pant,pant.  she couldn't keep up. she never did. for the few times they ran into a village, they saw rin and ran for the hills. literally. but returned after seeing her gone. she heard the new rumors. she knew everything. she pretended to be someone else. she went to school. she went to concerts. all while keeping her ears a secret. she pretend to be normal.

now, she knew of her differences. she did homework and even got straight A's. but all while doing somethings she will always regret. like backing down from a friend to show her the ears she had. her friend thought they were fake. but rin knew. she knew all to well. 

a week later, the state police came and asked if anyone knew rin. her friend said she knew rin. a few seconds later a gun was pulled out. " you must understand we cant let you go knowing what you know." one of them said. five seconds later, she fell to the ground.  shocked. scared. dead. blood all over the board walk. they talked to rin, but she said she didn't even know who rin was and go off the hook. what they didn't know was that they killed rin's only friend. the rumors would start up again. all she wanted was freedom. freedom from this world. from the insanity.
