Chapter 7 || You Know Us Better Than Anyone
Jihoon didn't know what to think or do as he walked toward his unit's bedroom, hands fisted in his pockets.
When Joshua had asked for it to be kept a secret, he couldn't help but think back to when Dokyeom had asked for the same thing after he and Soonyoung had found out about his job at the ice-cream cart. And even though he'd promised that he would keep them updated on what was happening with he and his girlfriend, he hasn't spoken a word to either of the two since then; he avoided them like the plague.
Involuntarily, the boy stopped in his tracks as he grabbed fist fulls of his hair, gritting his teeth in frustration.
Taking a small step back, he turned around and ran out of the dorm entirely, hoping he would make it in time.
Usually when this occurred, he would go and bury himself beneath a heap of his blankets and he would have done so now had Soonyoung not been sleeping in his bed. He did not want to go and wake the boy and demand his leave for selfish reasons.
This was something he managed to keep quiet from the rest of the group.
It would be pointless bringing up this condition of his now all of a sudden.
When he got to his destination, he allowed himself to fall onto the grass, gasping for air before he curled up into a ball just as the worst of it started.

After waking up, Soonyoung proceeded to make up Jihoon's bed before going off to find the rest of his unit.
While doing that, he couldn't help but wonder where Jihoon was. He had disappeared from the room hours ago and though Soonyoung did try to stay up and wait for his return, he had ended up falling asleep in a matter of seconds.
If Soonyoung was being totally honest, as he made his way down the passage, he hoped that he would bump into the smaller boy.
Shaking his head to rid of the thoughts, he knocked on the hip hop unit's bedroom door softly, not quite sure if his fellow unit were there or if they possibly returned to their bedroom.
When Seungcheol opened the door, Soonyoung noted the growing saddened look in his eyes and the way he struggled but nevertheless attempted to hide it when he noticed that it was Soonyoung at the door. Seungcheol, in that moment, was a complete mess.
"What's wrong, hyung?" Soonyoung found himself asking, genuinely worried for the guy in front of him.
"Woozi told you."
"I'm sorry, told me what?" Soonyoung asked, voice giving away his disbelief and confusion all together.
"He told you about the fact that Jeonghan and Joshua dating. About me being pushed to one side," Seungcheol wrongly accused as his voice got close to the point of yelling. But at this information, Soonyoung was upset. Not because of the thing Seungcheol had told him about, but because of the fact that he really did believe that Jihoon, who he had yet to see since this morning.
"S.Coups hyung!" the blonde exclaimed, shutting the dark haired boy up almost immediately which satisfied him. He wanted to smile, but he stopped himself because he knew it was a bad time.
"You're the leader. You know us better than anyone else. You should know that Jihoon wouldn't do that."
At these words, S.Coups looked down guiltily, mumbling a soft, "You're right."
"Do not ever speak about Jihoon like that hyung. Or I will do something that will make you regret it. Do we have an understanding?"
S.Coups nodded in response which earned a smile from Soonyoung.
"Great. Now, where is the rest of my unit? I know they came here earlier."
"Oh, they left. They went back to their room when I came in."
Soonyoung thanked the leader and went on his way. He was the only one who knew that after fights- any fight, even if they didn't know the people were fighting- China Line and the maknae avoided them in fear of being brought into the fight as well.
Even though it was his room too, Soonyoung knocked on the door once he got there, hoping the rest were still awake.
If there was one thing he disliked, it was waking them up.
He knew how hard they worked so he truly felt that they needed all the rest they could get.
He was just about to open the door himself when someone beat him to it, opening it with a muffled greeting as the blanket covered his head and dragged against the floor.
"Did I wake you, Minghao?" Soonyoung asked, frowning as the other lifted the blanket to actually look at the younger boy.
"No, we're all awake. I was just getting cold," the younger boy explained as he let the older in to reveal the other two performance unit members who were sprawled on the floor.
A small smile made way to his face, but soon faded when he noticed the lump which was most likely a body considering the strand of hair sticking out from beneath the blanket- on his bed. The colour of the strand of hair gave the person away immediately. However, Soonyoung looked at the members on the floor after Minghao joined them instead of going to the person on his bed first.
When Jun noticed the boy frowning, he sat up, correctly guessing that Soonyoung saw the occupied bed.
The blanket that covered his head- something the three of them seemed to be doing at the moment- fell to his shoulders as he ruffles his hair, frowning and suppressing a yawn as he thought of how to explain to Soonyoung.
However, noticing them staring at each other, Dino realized what was happening. He wasn't aware of the reason that the two stayed silent, that Jun didn't just want to tell Soonyoung in case he misunderstood, so his voice came out more excited than he truly intended.
"Hyung, did you see how he sleeps? Hyung looks even more adorable... Oh, but some of the blood wouldn't come off-"
"Dino!" Jun exclaimed, eyes wide as he tried to stop Dino from speaking any further.
However, Soonyoung's mind focused on one word as he asked in confusion, "Blood?"
Dino had quickly apologised while Jun just nodded.
"What happened, Jun?" Soonyoung finally managed to ask the boy, the frown never leaving his face.
Jun sighed before nodding, ready to explain.
"Jun, mind explaining now?" Soonyoung asked impatiently, practically fuming.
"Okay, okay. Look, I just went for a run because I couldn't handle the arguing anymore and I just needed to get out. When I passed the bridge on my way back, I found him lying there so I called Jeonghan hyung and Mingyu hyung to come and help me bring him back."
"You just noticed him?"
"After I went closer to see who it was. His hair gave him away, but I needed to make sure if it really was him or not."
Soonyoung frowned, but nodded.
"You can go to him, Soonyoung hyung," Minghao beamed, smiling again.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Soonyoung smiled at Minghao and nodded before he made his way to the bed where the boy laid.
And as he sat on the edge of his bed, he heard the door close. When he looked up thinking that someone had entered, he found that instead, the three boys had left him alone with the other.
He knew it had either been Dino or Jun who suggested it, but in all honesty, he didn't mind so he didn't really care.
When he looked at the boy before him who seemed to be frowning in his sleep, Soonyoung reached over and gently touched his thumb to the other boy's cheek as he whispered, "This is the second time, you really should be careful... Or not even go out when this happens."
He didn't receive a response, not that he expected one. He sighed softly.
"Jihoon..."
