Chapter 6 || The 'fight'

"JEONGHAN, THAT'S NOT RIGHT! It is not fair! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!"

Jihoon had woken to those exact words the next morning. And as he sat up, he found the rest of his unit awake – excluding Jeonghan who seemed to be the cause of the current morning drama.

Seungkwan was rubbing his eyes, finding himself on the floor and Dokyeom was glaring at nothing in particular.

When Jihoon looked over in Joshua's direction to ask if he knew what was going on, he noticed that the boy was not in his bed either. However, analyzing the missing boy's bed, he noted that with its current state, it couldn't have been too long since he had gotten up and that inevitably meant that it couldn't have been that long since the other two had gotten up.

"Jihoon," Seungkwan and Dokyeom chorused, looking at the boy with gooey eyes in hopes that he would go out and find out what in the bloody hell was going on.

"Why me again?"

By now, both boys had laid down on their beds from their sitting positions, but it was Seungkwan who replied with a lazy yawn, "You're the vocal unit leader. You need to represent us in everything. You have to no matter what."

He hadn't completely made sense, being half asleep and all but at the same time, he sort of managed to make sense.

So slowly, Jihoon pushed himself out of the bed, not caring as the blankets fell to the ground in a heap. And he barely flinched when his bare feet touched the cold wooden floor.

Hesitantly, he opened the door and peeked out until he was sure that nobody was there.

But then, just as he was about to step out, he froze as he noticed (and felt) someone else's presence. When he looked down, he made eye contact with the boy who was curled up beneath one of his black jackets and ready to sleep just outside the room.

"What are you doing outside the vocal unit's bedroom so early in the morning?" Jihoon asked, frowning before asking, "Why are you out here, Hoshi?"

The boy in turn looked up at Jihoon and smiled tiredly, the dark circles beneath his eyes suddenly becoming all the more noticeable as he did this small action. Before Jihoon could even ask, Soonyoung decided to explain.

"They're right in front of the performance unit's bedroom so none of us could really sleep. Jun, Dino and Minghao went to the hip hop unit's room, but I came here since it was already full there."

"So why didn't you knock, you fool?"

Soonyoung couldn't help but smile at the given nickname, only finding the younger boy even cuter when he said that.

"I didn't want to wake you guys up," he replied, eyes slowly closing involuntarily.

"Soonyoung," Jihoon called out softly, causing the other's eyes to flutter open as he glanced up at Jihoon who, for the first time, was actually taller than him.

He rarely used the boy's real name; it was always his stage name being uttered from Jihoon so in the rare times that Jihoon did use his actual name, Soonyoung made sure to pay full and close attention- even more so than usual.

"Yeah, Jihoon?" Soonyoung asked, his voice fading due to the exhaustion that was taking over his body.

"Go."

Soonyoung, hearing this, misunderstood as he assumed the other meant that Soonyoung needed to leave and Jihoon knew this. And that was precisely why he waited for Soonyoung to stand up to leave; only slightly stumbling before Jihoon grabbed his arm gently and lead him into the room. Upon entering, Jihoon simply pointed to his bed, knowing he didn't need to explain for Soonyoung to understand what he meant.

He released Soonyoung's arm them and turned to walk out, but Soonyoung ended up stopping him.

"Where are you going, Hoonie?"

Smiling to himself at the nickname, the pink haired boy shrugged before replying, "To go and sort things out. Go to sleep, idiot."

And before Soonyoung could muster up a reply, Jihoon was out of the door.

As he got closer to the performance unit's bedroom, the volume of the shouting grew louder; most of it coming from Seungcheol.

When Jihoon stopped in front of the three boys, they all seemed to stop yelling, each of them looking at Jihoon who looked fuming as he clenched his hands into fists and his face grew red. You could even see the way his jaw locked in that moment and how his eyes hardened further than it had when he'd laid eyes on them.

"W- Woozi," Seungcheol stuttered out a greeting, eyes wide, openly giving away how afraid he was of the small ball of anger that was, in that moment, Lee Jihoon. Most of all, he was afraid of what Jihoon would end up doing.

"Do not W- Woozi me!" Jihoon snapped as he mimicked the leader as he continued, "Do you have any idea how your fighting is affecting the rest of the group? You are fighting so early in the morning and extremely loudly as well. You were so loud that you woke up everyone in the entire dorm. Do you even know that you chased the performance unit of their own bedroom?"

Jihoon was breathing heavily after the quiet, angered shouting he did. Jeonghan, Joshua and Seungcheol looked at him. None of them spoke a word, worried for their own safety as they stood before the always unpredictable, short, pink haired boy.

His eyes were colder now as he spoke, his voice soft as he asked, "Care to explain your selfishly loud argument then?"

Although it had been a question, each boy knew that it was anything but.

Though it had been phrased as a question, they knew they had no choice but to answer.

And if they were being honest, they were afraid of what would happen if they didn't answer. There was a high possibility that they would not regret telling him. But there was another possibility that this would add to all of his stress; they just didn't know it.

So with that thought in their minds, they each nodded at least once before heading toward the kitchen, Jihoon trailing behind.

In this dorm, for some reason, all of their serious conversations and arguments happened in the kitchen. Even if it started out in the living room or one of the rooms, they would somehow manage to find themselves in the kitchen surrounding the small island that was there in the middle.

In the kitchen, Joshua and Jeonghan took their seats opposite one another at the table that was located in the kitchen (heaven knows how there was still space in the kitchen for all thirteen of them even with the island, table, counters, cupboard and everything else), both of them looking nowhere else but at each other.

Seungcheol had taken a seat at the one end and 'between' the two, almost like where the king sat at the head of the table.

Eventually, all eyes were on Jihoon as they waited for him to take a seat. They were all hoping that the tension in the room would fade if not now, soon.

It was so thick that a knife could cut through it.

"Are any of you planning on telling me? Or are we just going to sit and increase the tension?" Jihoon asked as he eyed each of them one by one before his gaze set on Seungcheol.

Jihoon never did take a seat.

Each boy looked at one another as they decided who would be telling the smaller, but, growing impatient, Jihoon decided to call out for one of them to tell him.

His eyes scanned each of them and settled on the now frozen Jeonghan, but his words for someone else.

"Joshua, you tell me."

Nodding, Joshua shifted in his seat before speaking.

"Seungcheol, who likes Jeonghan, found out about Jeonghan and myself who happen to be in a relationship."

A/N

So, I haven't been posting since I got super lazy to type everything out. And then my friend told me about this one contest and I decided to enter this. Long story short, I sat at the laptop from 8 am t 5 pm typing this story out; my wrists and back were paining as well as my legs when I stood.  I stopped leaving my room at 1pm.

Unfortunately, I didn't make the cut.

And I suddenly feel like this fan fiction is utter crap pulled together.

And I feel like my writing in general is just terrible.

But I typed this whole damn thing out and I didn't do it for nothing. Even if this gets like no reads, I'm still gonna post it.

Because, I wrote it for it to be read. And that's what matters. If people actually take time to read my terrible works.

And I'm sorry for using this as as a get it off your chest section.

This has been your Everyday Average Fan girl.
