Ruins
You looked around at everything and saw the same yellow glow from before. You approached it and touched it. A menu appeared in front of you.
The shadow of the Ruins looms above. You are filled with DETERMINATION!

You shrugged as Frisk did the same.
"Now, (y/n), you should act as if you don't remember any of the monsters! Even around Sans. I know it'll be hard to in some cases from experience. It's better this way," Frisk told you after saving. You cocked your head to the side.
"Why?"
"Trust me, it just will. Sans I'm fine with for myself because he'll act as if he knows me, but he would still think you don't remember the timelines," they said, walking after Toriel. You followed suit.
"The ruins are filled with puzzles. Ancient fusions between diversions and doorkeys. Please adjust yourselves to the sight of them," Toriel said. You smiled, watching her solve the puzzle for the two of you.
"Come children!" She said, walking through the now opened door.
You and Frisk held hands and walked through.
"In order to traverse through the Ruins, you'll need to trigger several switches. I have labeled the ones you two need to flip."
"Okay!" You said, walking over to the second switch while Frisk took on the first. You flipped them both.
"Very good!" Toriel complimented.
You two walked through to the next room, the dummy was proudly standing on the opposite side. Toriel stepped to the side.
"As humans in the Underground, monsters may attack you. You will need to be prepared for these situations. Remember, when a monster attacks you, you can ACT and talk to them. Strike up a friendly conversation! Stall for time. I'll come to resolve the conflict!" She said.
"Practice talking to the dummy!" She continued, smiling. You and Frisk both approached the dummy. The world went to a black and white scene.
You press ACT and check.
Dummy
ATTK: 0 DEF: 0
A cotton heart and a button eye. You are the apple to my eye.
It only stood idly during it's turn.
Frisk used their turn to ACT and talk to the dummy. It didn't really seem much for conversation. Just then a message appeared as you looked to a very pleased Toriel.
You won!
You earned 0 EXP and 0 Gold
"Ah! Very good! You two are very good!" Toriel said as color returned to the world. You smiled at Toriel as she lead you and Frisk to the next room.
"There is another puzzle in this room. I wonder if you two can solve it," she said, giving the two of you a warm smile.
You examined the room and the pathway. After finishing the examination, you walked with Frisk towards the room with the spike bridge. The two of you ran into a small Froggit.
The world turned black and white yet again as the Froggit stood in front of the two of you. Frisk took the opportunity to compliment the Froggit. It didn't understand what they said, but was flattered anyways as it blushed. Toriel stepped beside Froggit and glared at it. You felt a little sorry for the small monster. It walked away slowly.
The world returned to it's original colors and Toriel lead you two to the spikes.
"I would let you solve this, but...here, take my hands for a moment," Toriel said, taking yours and Frisk's hands. She walked you two through the puzzle.
"Puzzles seem a little too dangerous at the moment," she finished. You let go of Toriel's hand as Frisk did the same.
"Come my children!" She called, walking to the next room.
You followed her with Frisk holding your hand.
"You two have done wonderfully thus far, but there is a very difficult request I must ask of the two of you. You must walk to the end of this room by yourselves. Forgive me for this," Toriel said, taking off towards the end of the long corridor. You and Frisk glanced at each other before starting to patiently walk down the hallway. Once you got to the pillar at the end, Toriel came out from behind it.
"Fear not my children! For I was merely behind the pillar the whole time! I wouldn't leave you two like that. Now there was a reason for this exercise. To test your independence. I must leave and attend to some business and I will need you two to stay alone for a while. I have an idea! I will give you two a cell phone! That way, if you have any need for anything, you can just call me! Now be good and stay in this room. I'll be back soon!" Toriel said, handing you and Frisk a cell phone. You examined the phone closely before putting it in your bag you had strapped on your back.
