You and Charisk sat and chatted for a bit while you ate some pie, then headed out to talk to Toriel. She sat on her chair reading a book about snails.

"Hello children! Would you like to know a fact about snails?" She asked. Charisk spoke up.

"We wanna go home, mom," they said. You nodded in agreement.

"U-um...how about a snail fact! Did you know that snails can talk? Im just kidding. They can't talk! So fascinating!" She said, continuing to read. Charisk tugged on her dress.

"Toriel, we wanna leave the Ruins," they said firmly. Toriel got up and sighed.

"Stay here. I have something I need to do," she said before quickly taking off towards the exit to the Ruins.

"Let's go!" Charisk told you, running off after Toriel.

You two caught up to her.

"Past this point is the exit to the Ruins. I am going to destroy it," she said. She walked off further down the hall. You and Charisk followed.

"Be good children and go upstairs," she continued.

You pressed on.

"I've seen it many times before. They come. They leave. They die. Naive children. If you leave the Ruins, they, Asgore, will kill you. Please. Go upstairs," she said. You and Charisk continued forward.

"This is your last warning! Go upstairs!" Toriel said. You and Charisk stilled went forward.

"You wish to leave so badly? Fight me! Prove to me you are strong enough to survive!" She said. The world turned black and white as your soul and Charisk's soul went into the playing field.

Fireballs came after your soul, but you dodged most of them. You spared Toriel.

"What are you doing?"

Charisk did the same.

"Fight me or leave!"

You and Charisk continued to spare Toriel until the end of the battle.

"I know you want to leave, but..."

Spare.

"We can be happy here!"

Spare.

"..."

Spare.

"...."

Spare.

"I understand. You two wouldn't be happy here. The Ruins get small once you get used to them. Good luck my children!" She said. The battle ended.

You two took turns hugging Toriel and crying. She waved goodbye one final time before you and Charisk turned your attention towards the door.

"Are you ready, (y/n)?" Charisk asked you.

You sighed.

"I guess so," you said. Charisk separated into the two individuals.

"Let's go then, mom," Chara said. You smiled and opened the door into Snowdin Forest, where you would meet your boyfriend again.
