his eyes glossed over with nothing but pure love and adoration as he silently observed the man before him, his movements fluid as his fingers strummed against the guitars strings, a soft tune playing delicately in the space. his eyes were shut as he played the song he had practiced a number of times before, an almost sorrowful look rested upon his sickeningly handsome features. a melancholy air settled around the two, but he didn't seem to notice and continued to dreamily watch his boyfriend play a song made just for him.

he was content with his life in that very moment. the stress of being a teenager left him as he rested his head on the palm of his hand and stared longingly at him. for a moment, in that split moment as the dainty sound of an acoustic guitar floated throughout the space and rested in an airy cloud, he felt like he was floating.

they were stuck together like glue. couldn't go without seeing the other for more than a few days.

he was excited for that day, it was their one month anniversary. he had prepared a gift for him, nothing big, but small and dainty and just perfect.  

his footsteps echoed through the halls of the high school, a soft smile playing on the edges of his lips. he was excited and anticipating seeing his boyfriend, he had fallen so far head over heels for the boy that actually dating him for this long felt like a dream. 

a blissful dream that he'd soon, oh so soon, wake up from.

walking outside and through the football field as he looked for his love he halted at the faint sound of whimpers. but no, that wasn't what stopped him fully. 

it was the distinct sound of his loves voice whispering sweet nothings to whoever he was with.

tears pricked at the corners of his eyes and the feeling of his heart shattering resounded throughout his whole being.

there, behind the bleachers of the school was the boy he had loved with all his heart cheating on him in the worst possible way.

they were like glue.

but much like glue,

it was uncomfortable and messy.
