Chapter 1. Dark Void
Grace walked down one of the many busy streets of New York towards the foster home she lived in. Grace looked like your average teenager, Long brown hair with green eyes, light skin and faint freckles, but she knew she wasn't just an average teenager. Normal kids had a nice family to live with, and received presents for their birthday and for Christmas, but Grace didn't get any of that, no, she lived with her foster family because her mother saw too much of her father in her, and refused to have that constant reminder of her past mistakes.
The young girl opened the door to her home and yelled "Hey, I'm home!" She kicked off her shoes and went up to her room quietly. She lived with her foster mother and father, and she lived with an annoying older foster brother. Grace was convinced they only decided to foster her because they get paid every month for fostering her.
She closed her eyes and sighed deeply as she lay back in her slightly uncomfortable bed and thought about her father and how amazing it would be if he knew she even existed.
Now you may be wondering "Grace who's your father? And why does he not know you exist?" And the answer to that question is simple. She was the product of a one night stand between her mother and the one and only Tony Stark. Grace felt herself slowly beginning to fade away into the black void known as sleep.
Grace looked around and saw Tony Stark standing there with the other Avengers. They were all standing ready for battle against somebody. After a second or two they all ran to fight an unknown enemy that was out of view. She ran as fast as she could, but her legs wouldn't let her run fast enough. She had to dodge different objects being thrown through the sky multiple times. The girl finally collapsed when her legs wouldn't let her move anymore. When she looked up a car was hurtling towards her. She let out a loud scream and closed her eyes waiting for the sudden impact, but when nothing hit her she opened her eyes to see Iron Man, or Tony Stark standing there with broken car pieces all around him. She looked up at him with tears in her green eyes. "What's your name kid?" He asked crouching down towards her.
"Grace." She said looking up at the person in front of her.
"Well Grace, It's time to wake up"
Grace's eyes shot open and she sat up in her bed breathing heavily. She remembered the day she first saw her father up close and the way he protected her from being almost killed. She felt tears in her eyes. She had a father who saved her life, but he didn't even know she was his kid. She leaned back against her bed again and looked up at the roof of her small bedroom. The ceiling had those little glow in the dark stars attached to it. She put in her earbuds and played some music softly, and calmly went back into that dark void known as sleep.
Oof getting over 500 words on every chapter is going to be hard! But it will be worth it in the end just you wait! (Don't mind my slight Hamilton reference there lol)
