Grow up my Wayward Brother

   Dean blinked and looked around.

   "Where's my dad?" He demanded.

Sam quickly realized that Dean had no memory of being an adult. He debated telling his brother the truth, that their father was dead, but couldn't bring himself to do it.

"He's... not here. He's on a hunting trip. He asked me to take care of you while he was gone. I'm Sam. I'm your brother."

The young boy glared at him, clearly skeptical. "My brother's name is Sammy, but you're way too old to be my brother."

Meanwhile, Castiel was staring at Dean with a blank expression on his face.

"What are you looking at?" Dean said angrily.

"Nothing... just your eyes... they're so pretty," Cas replied.

"Yeah, well your face won't be pretty if you keep staring at me like that!"

Sam rushed to pull Dean away before he started a fight.

"Dean, this is Castiel. Castiel, this is Dean," Sam explained. "Now that you two know each other, how about you... um..." He pulled a crayon and a check out of his pocket. "Why don't you two draw something while I go... read a book." He left, closing the door behind him, locking it so the kindergartners didn't cause any chaos while he did some research.

He had barely opened a book when he heard yelling from the room where he had left Dean and Cas. He opened the door to find Cas hovering near the ceiling, clearly terrified. Dean was yelling curse words at him, jumping to try and reach the angel.

"Come back down here you coward! I swear I'm going to kill you you son of a b*tch!"

Sam stared at the scene in awe. He rushed to pull his brother away.

"Let go of me, as*hole!" Dean yelled, stomping on Sam's foot until he let go. Little Dean ran off into another room in the bunker, Sam chasing after him. Dean found a place to hide in the tiny space behind a bookshelf.

"Dean, stop! Come back!" Sam yelled. After realizing that he couldn't find his brother, Sam tried deception instead. "Dean. If you don't get back here right now, you won't get any pie."

The little boy poked his head out of his hiding space. "Pie?"

Just a few seconds later, Dean was right in front of Sam, looking up at him with one of those innocent looking faces that is impossible to stay mad at.

"Well... I don't have any here, I'll have to go to the store. Will you and Cas get along while I'm gone?" Sam explained.

   Dean nodded.

Sam was just about to leave when he realized: he couldn't leave two 5 year-olds alone. He couldn't be like his father. He would have to take them with him.

Sam made two makeshift car seats for them, praying that he didn't get pulled over. Dean spent the whole trip complaining about Sam's choice in music and kicking his seat. When Sam addressed his behavior, the little boy just replied with a bunch of curse words.

"Dean, stop swearing or I'm going to turn this car around and take you back to the bunker without any pie," Sam chuckled, enjoying the power he had over his brother.

   Dean immediately stopped.

At long last, they arrived at the store. Dean kept trying to run away, while Cas just walked next to Sam, holding his hand so he wouldn't get lost. After several times pulling Cas along while chasing Dean, Sam got a cart and forced his brother into the child seat that was attached to it. Dean crossed his arms and turned away, pouting. Sam had gotten a headache by the time they reached the pie. They were just about to leave the store when Sam realized that the other clothes they had were about twenty sizes too big. Exhausted, he turned the cart around and bought whatever clothes he thought would fit the little boys.

When they arrived back at the bunker, Sam collapsed onto the nearest couch in exhaustion. How did their parents put up with this?
