Ashley's POV (a little earlier):
I ran as fast as I could back to the small wooden house, I felt like falling to the ground and crying my eyes out, Jerome was a good friend of mine for so long... But if I felt like this, I couldn't imagine what Mitch feels like right now, Jerome was his best friend and was almost all he had... 'I have to go see him no matter what he says!' I thought, reaching the clearing where we were temporarily living. I sighed and walked inside to see Mitch on the floor, just staring at the ceiling, I could tell he had been crying but he must have heard me coming, he sat up but said nothing, not even looking at me, I was unsure what to say but finally spoke up after some time "s-so... you saw?" I said to him, he nodded, still not looking in my direction "U-um.... It will be okay... We still have eachother right?" I said 'what am I saying? I could never replace Jerome for him...' I thought, I got up and stood in front of him, pulling him up, "Mitch it will all be okay please just talk to me!" I said, hugging him. He immedietly pushed me down and yelled "It will never be the same anymore!! And what about you?! What if you get hurt doing this too?! I will not lose both of you!!" He screamed, unable to stop tears from falling, immedietly he looked down at me, shocked and desperately tried to wipe away the tears, "I-I'm so sorry Ashley!" He said quickly. I didn't know what else to do, I stood up but didn't have anything to say, suddenly Mitch stepped towards me, grabbing the collar of my shirt. "Wha-" I said but was cut off when his lips collided with mine. didn't know what to do at that moment, I stood there frozen, I had no clue what to do... All I knew is that I didn't want it to stop. after a few seconds Mitch quickly pulled away and stumbled onto the couch "I-I....." He said but seemed as if he coundn't find any words, and all I could do was stand there in shock, my face still bright red 'H-H-How should I react?!' I thought frantically, "I'm sorry!!!" He said and tried to run out of the room but I quickly grabbed his wrist and pulled him back 'W-Why did I do that?!' I wondered but it was like my mind wasn't in controll of my body anymore, I pulled him towards me and hugged him tightly "I like you too" I said, I was no longer questioning my actions or words, because everything just felt right. After I could feel Mitch calm down a little I finally let go, though still holding his hands. I smiled at him and laughed at his red face "Y-you do?" He asked completely schocked, I nodded, looking up at him "so.... What now?" I asked, he sighed "I don't want to do this anymore... I want to go home with you.... It's all over now and I just want to go home!" He said. I nodded "Your right... We should" I smiled walking outside with him. As soon as I stepped outside I heard the voices of our friends coming to us "Hey, Mitch! A-are you okay?" Shima asked, Mitch looked down and nodded, I smiled at them "Guys I think It's time for us to go home" I said, grabbing onto Mitch's hand "Oh.... I almost forgot that this was finally all over" Lilac said, laughing a little. "Hey guys maybe we should eat first" Shima said, everyone nodded besides the two girls in the back, "Hey you two come too!" Shima said, walking inside. The two looked at eachother and smiled, walking in behind us.
Lilac POV:
As we ate the fruits that we had picked earlier, I noticed something strange about Mitch and Ashley, "Hey you two have been acting weird..." I said pointing towards them, everyone else, except for Mace and Jewel, nodded "so.... Whats up?" Ty said, taking a bite out of an apple. "Nothing" Mitch said quickly, looking away, Ashley only looked down at the floor. "Oooooh come on guys!" I said laughing "Did you two hook up or something?" Mace said blankly, suddenly both of their faces went bright red, everyone but Mace and Jewel stared at them in shock "What?!" We all yelled. immedietly, Ashley spoke up "H-H-He only c-confessed to me...." She said, "A-Ashley!" Mitch yelled, embarrassd, "aw c'mon what happened?" Daisy asked, Everyone else spoke in agreement when suddenly Mitch threw down his apple and said "Fine... This is what happened!" He said and grabbed onto Ashley's shirt and kissing her on the lips before quickly letting go, both of them blushing like crazy, I could also see Tyler and Daisie's faces redden a little. For the second time, everyone yelled "What?!" But even louder this time. Soon after that the room turned silent "s-so...." Ashley said quietly, turning to Mitch, clearly mad at him, "should we go now, before it starts to get dark? We've been here for a while..." She said, Mitch nodded "yeah that would be a good idea" he said getting up along with everyone else and walked to the door. Ashley stopped and laughed "How far you guys gonna follow us?" She joked, turning to us. "well...." She said "I had fun" she smiled while Mitch only looked at the floor with a sad expression "I'm sure everyone is happy" I said, smiling at him. He looked at me and nodded, then walked out the door and towards their old village. "Byyyeeee!!!" We yelled to them as we waved, they waved to us smiling before dissappearing into the trees. "I hope they'll be okay..." I muttered, then Daisy walked up to me "I'm sure they will" she smiled. then we all turned to Mace and Jewel.
