Chapter Twenty-Three
Ashley's POV*
I sat on at the small table drinking my coffee and reading my bible. I read verses Isaiah 43:2, Matthew 11:28-30 and Psalms 91:1-16. All I can say was that I needed that.
I mumbled, "Thank you Lord. So much."
I started to pray silently. Not even realizing it, but God has been with me this entire time. I had been blinded by the fear the Devil has given me. God had finally gotten a hold of me. He's guiding me once again.
"Ashley?" Alan asks, pulling me from my thoughts.
I lifted my head and looked at him, "Yeah?"
"You're up early." He states.
"Yeah. I've been up since six." I laugh.
"What have you been doing all this time?" He asks, looking at the clock.
"Praying." I answer, "I had this feeling, so I was flipping through my bible. I was reading verses Isaiah 43:2, Matthew 11:28 and Psalm 91."
"That's great Ash." He smiles. Morgan comes out from his room.
"Hey, I'm going to pick everyone up." Morgan informs.
"We'll be here." I laugh.
"Good. Don't leave or open the door until we get back." He demands.
"Yes sir." I nod. Morgan shakes his head and leaves. Alan laughs and makes himself some coffee. I close my bible and lean against my chair.
Joey stumbled from our part of the room. "Mornin' Joe." Alan laughs.
"Haha." Joey remarked.
"Hey, sleeping beauty." I smiled.
He grumbled something incoherent, and kissed me. Then he made himself some coffee also.
"What are you doing up so early Joe? You're never up before eleven." Alan asks.
"You guys were being too loud." He mumbles.
"Sorry, baby." I apologized.
"You're fine. I'm just tired." He sighs. He leans against the counter, and I admired him. His crinkled sweatpants, his bedhead hair. I got up and stood in front of him. My hands slid up his biceps.
"I love you. You know that right?" I whispered.
He sat his cup on the counter, and wraps his arms around my waist. "I know. I love you too." He smiles, kissing me again. Luckily, Alan wasn't paying attention to us, but his wife and kids would be here any moment.
"I'm so excited for today." I smile.
"Why?" Joey asks.
"We get to see our nieces. I miss them." I explain.
"I miss 'em too. They'll be all over you." He laughs.
"I don't know why they love me so much." I laugh.
"It's because you're unique. You're teaching them to not be afraid of who they are. Like you said, you're the youngest person on your team. You've worked hard." Joey explains.
"It's all because of you." I whisper. I was about to kiss him, but Morgan and everybody else walked in. I groaned, knowing that I couldn't kiss him.
"I love you." He smiles.
"I love you too." I smile back. The three girls ran to their father.
"Daddy!" They cheered. I moved to where I was standing next to Joey, his arm still around me.
I smiled as I pictured that as Joey and I one day. It made me smile to see everyone so happy. Chad and Caleb stumbled out of their rooms. Their eyes widened as they saw their wives. They all dropped their bags as they each went to their husbands.
"You're doing good baby." Joey whispers.
"Thanks." I smiled.
"Hey, guess what? Aunt Ash missed you girls. Why don't you girls go give her a hug." Alan suggests. They nod rapidly and run towards me.
"Aunt Ash!" They cheered. I picked up Rowe and Presley as Joey picked up AJ.
"Hey, girls." I smiled.
"Did you miss us?" Rowe asks.
"Yeah, I did. I missed your smiles and laughs." I say, kissing their heads.
"We missed you too Aunt Ash." Presley whispers.
"I love you girls, but I think that uncle Chad and uncle Caleb want to see you too." I smile, pointing over there.
"Okay!" The cheered. I laughed and sat them down. We watched them run all over the rooms.
"I can't wait for this whole thing to be over." I whisper.
"Neither can I." Joey smiles. He knows what I'm thinking. Those girls seriously light up my day.
"Ash! Let's get working." JJ suggested.
"Yeah. I'll be there in a second." I said. I turned to Joey. "I love you." I whispered, kissing him briefly.
"I love you too." He smiled. I sighed before turning away. I walked over to where the team was.
"So, what do we know?" Emily asks.
"We know that there's three victims. Anna, Sara and the most recent hasn't been identified. All blondes and young." I answer.
"And Hotch said that the UnSub evolved with the last victim?" Rossi questions.
"Yes. She bled to death. The UnSub carved wording into her stomach." I nod.
Reid looked at me with an apologetic look. JJ spoke up, "What did it say?"
"AL and Ash." I sigh.
"Oh." Emily gasps.
"Yeah. We believe that the UnSub is targeting Ash in order to get to the guys or Joey." Morgan explains.
"Not to mention the threat I received." I inform.
"But didn't Garcia find the person responsible?" Rossi asks.
"Yeah. It's a possible suspect. I haven't been threatened before. Not until after I joined." I explain.
"And you were attacked." Reid mentions.
"What was the girl's name?" Emily asks.
"Hailee Renyolds." I answer.
"Wasn't the girl who threatened you Lillian Renyolds?" JJ asked.
"You're right. Coincidence?" I ask.
"I don't think so." Emily mumbled.
"I got it." Morgan sighs. He called Garcia and put it on speaker.
"Hello! You've reached the Supreme Genius!" She said in a cheery voice.
"Hey mama. Got a question." Morgan requests.
"Anything for you baby. Dirty or clean?" She teases.
"Garcia, you're on speaker." Morgan warns.
"I do groups." She giggles.
"Garcia," Morgan warns.
"Sorry chocolate thunder." She snickers. By then all of us were laughing.
"Anyway, is Lillian Renyolds and Hailee Renyolds related in anyway?" Morgan asks.
"Gimme a second!" She requests. I slightly cringe. Garcia laughed, "Sorry Ash. I could hear you cringe from here."
"Yeah. It's 'give me'. Jeez, you people will be the death of me." I joked. Morgan gave me a stern look. I sighed, "Sorry, wrong wording."
"Yeah. I got somethin'. Lillian and Hailee are sisters. Hailee's 15 and Lillian is 19." Garcia answers.
I sighed, "Thanks Garcia."
"Yep! I got you doll. Garcia out!" She said happily and hung up.
"Well...." JJ trailed off.
"Now we know for sure that it's not a coincidence." Rossi mumbles.
"Wait a second." I mumbled. I stood up for second trying to remember.
"What's going on Ash?" Spencer asks.
"'Two; you need to watch your back. My sister was the one who threatened you. This was step one.' She evilly smirked." This replayed in my head over and over again. Just thinking about it made me want to shut down.
"Ash?" Rossi asks, shaking me.
I shook my head slightly, "Sorry."
"What's wrong?" Spencer asks.
"How did I not notice it?" I ask myself.
"Ashley, you're scaring us. What's going on?" Emily asks.
"Hailee. When we were in Boston. She wanted to speak to me privately. She told me to watch my back." I sigh.
"What else?" Rossi asks.
"She told me that her sister was Lillian. Who threatened me." I explain.
I sighed and sat down, laying my head in my hands. I couldn't believe that I forgot that she said that.

Woohoo! Another chapter.
Can anyone believe that this Chapter Tweny Three? Feels like just yesterday I started this book.
Oo. So, I had to go back a few chapters to find what Hailee said before. Oo. I do not like her. She kind of scares me. How is that even possible?
Anyway, give me some ideas. I love reading all of your comments!
