Chapter Nineteen

Ashley's POV*

"I'm your biggest fan, other than Brycie, Fallon and Kels of course." I laugh, "And I always will be."

"Thanks sis. That means a lot, ya know?" Chad smiles as he ruffles my hair.

"My hair." I whine as I try to fix it.

"You're just like Joe and Caleb with their hair." Alan laughs.

"So?" I ask.

"It's just funny cause you married Joe." Chad laughs.

"Do you know how it takes to do my hair?" I whine.

"I dunno. How long?" Chad asks.

"Don't know!" Caleb corrects.

"It takes her like 30 minutes, bro." Joe laughs.

"Really?" Chad laughs.

"Have you ever done a braid? It takes forever to get it just perfect!" I sigh.

"Girls." Morgan mutters.

"You should not have said that." Spencer laughs.

"I'm letting it slide this time." I say, glaring at Morgan.

"Like I'm scared." Morgan teases, throwing his hands in the air.

"Bro, you shouldn't have said that. Have you met Ashley?" Joe asks.

I fake a manical laughter, while rubbing my hands together like a witch. Let's just say that they all looked at me like I was crazy. Which I slightly was.

"You're super crazy." Chad laughs.

"I know. But you all love me." I smile sweetly.

"Says who?" Chad teases.

"I do." Joey smiles as he wraps his arm around my waist.

"As a sister." Caleb answers.

"Same." Alan agrees. Morgan and Spencer nod along.

"Man. You guys were supposed to be on my side. Not her's." Chad whines.

"Sorry Chaddy. I win." I laugh, sticking my tongue out at him.

"And I'm the child?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes." Joey smirks.

"Oh ha ha." Chad mocks.

"It is very funny." I smile.

"Ashley Faith." Chad warns.

"Whatcha gonna do?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

"Ah! What are you going to do?" Caleb cringes.

"Sorry bro." I laugh.

"Guys; soundcheck." Alan says, breaking up any battle that's about to begin.

"You coming baby?" Joey asks.

"Yeah. You boys coming?" I ask Morgan and Spencer.

"Yeah, we'll come." Morgan answers.

"Alright, let's go." Alan urges.

"We're coming." I laugh. Joey took my hand, and we walked to the auditorium.

The guys got everything set up and went through the set list. As they ended, Morgan, Spencer and I applauded. Alan, Chad and Caleb shook their heads, Joey just smiled at me. I smiled back.

They hopped off stage and ran towards us. I laughed as Joey hugged me.

"Sounds great guys." I smiled.

"I agree." Spencer nodded.

"Don't we always?" Chad laughs.

"Oh, don't flatter yourself." I joke.

"I don't, you flatter us." Chad says, giving me a serious look.

"No, I flatter my husband." I smile.

"Hurtful." Caleb playfully sighs.

"Man, and I thought we were family." Alan plays along.

"See what you did, Ash?" Morgan smirks.

"Oh come on. You guys know that I love you." I sigh.

"I love you too." Joe whispers, kissing my cheek.

"We know. We're just joking." Alan says.

"I'm not." Joey mutters.

I laugh, and face him, kissing him quickly.

"Alright lovebirds. Let's go." Chad grumbles.

"Awe, someone misses their love." I tease.

"Maybe." He mumbles.

"Why don't you guys call your wives. Have them meet us at the next venue?" I suggest.

"I wouldn't mind seeing my girls." Alan smiles. Chad and Caleb smile at the idea.

"Come on. Guys, you'll see your wives. Plus, we have a couple of days untill the next concert." I explain.

"True. I'm with Ash. Maybe Chad won't be as grumpy." Joey jokes. Chad then put Joe into a headlock, and we watched and laughed as Joey struggled.

"Am I still grumpy bro?" Chad asks, a smirk across his face.

"No. I'm sorry Chaddy." Joey whines.

"Okay." Chad mutters. He let go of Joey, and he came running to me.

"Guys, come on. We're adults." Alan says in a fatherly tone.

"Who wants to be adults. I'd rather be coloring in a blanket fort." I laugh.

"That was always fun. When I wasn't playing football." Morgan agrees.

"Why is that not surprising?" I ask.

"What do you mean?" Morgan asks in return.

"I dunno. You just seem like the person who played sports during school." I explain.

"Don't know!" Caleb mumbles.

"Okay, children. We gotta go." Alan speaks up.

"Have too! Oh my, do you people never learn!" Caleb grumbles.

I slung my arm around his shoulders and laughed, "I guess they don't ever learn. It's just us bro."

"Guh!" He heavily sighs.

Alan stands there with his arms crossed, obviously waiting for us. But that doesn't seem to be working.

"Guys, we should go before Alan says something again." I say.

"Thank you Ashley." Alan sighs.

"Oo. That's painful. The full name." I gasp.

"Ashley Faith Stamper." Alan warns.

I cringed, "Eh! Not the actual full name. Guh, I hate my name."

"Why, I think it's beautiful." Joey asks as he wraps his arm around my waist.

"It sounds to feminine. Then people think that I can't do things like men, when I can. Ugh, it's so frustrating." I rant.

"It's actually common in women. They feel like men put them down just because of their gender. Women can do the same things as men, but they refuse to accept it." Spencer explains.

"Thank you. See this is when God wanted you to have knowledge." I smile.

Spencer smiled in return. His smile was great, after hearing what he went through as child. It was nice to see him do something with his knowledge and life.

After a few seconds, they all started walking to their dressing room. Joey stayed behind and made me wait with him.

"What?" I ask as Joey took my hand.

"Nothing." He smiles. He put his arms around my waist, pulling me against his body. His rested his forehead against mine, "I just wanted a moment with you."

I smiled, "I love you."

"I love you too." He whispered, kissing me.

"Joe! Ash! Come on, where did you guys go?" Alan calls.

Joey pulled away and looked at me, "Shhh."

I smiled and nodded, agreeing. We stood there, listening to Alan's fit. It took everything in me not to laugh.

I started to snicker. Joey just glared at me, and I almost broke into a fit of laughter. He quickly shut up by placing his lips on mine.

"Hey, guys." Alan cleared his throat.

I groaned and pulled away, only Joey kept me pressed against his body. I looked over at Alan, "Yes?"

"Have you guys been here the whole time?" Alan asks.

"Yeah. Pretty much." I laugh.

"Come on. The fans are gonna be in here at any moment." Alan groans.

"Fine. We'll be there in a minute." I sigh. Alan shakes his head and reluctantly turned around, leaving the auditorium. I quickly kiss Joey, and try to walk out. But it's sort of hard when he still has me pressed against his body. I sighed, "Come on baby. We need to go."

"But I don't wanna!" He whines.

"Neither do I, but we have to." I laugh.

He sighs and nods, after kissing me quickly, he let go of me and took my hand. Once we reached the dressing room, everyone was staring at us. I just shrugged it off. I was used too it, sadly. It happened alot on cases, people were normally surprised seeing a female agent.

"I hope you guys know that staring at me will not me uncomfortable." I say.

"Why?" Caleb asks.

"Oh, on cases, people are surprised to see a female agent." I explain.

"Especially since you're the youngest on the team." Spencer says.

"The youngest ever were Rossi and Gideon. They started the team." Morgan explains. Spencer's smile falls at the sound of Gideon's name, which is understandable. I had only met Gideon a couple times, but he was nice and polite. I frowned at the memories I had with Gideon, he was my mentor.

"You okay baby?" Joey asks.

I slightly shook my head then I realized he was talking to me, "Hm? Yeah, yeah I'm fine."

Morgan gave me a look. He knew I was lying. I was just saddened at the memories I had with Gideon before he died.

"Ash?" Spencer chokes out. I could tell that he was on the edge of tears.

"I'm fine." I huff, crossing my arms. I sat on the couch. Everyone was staring at me, especially my husband. I knew he was taken back by my sudden behavior change.

The guys just kind of gave me some space. I knew Spencer took Gideon's death really hard. I did too, I just tried not to show it. Gideon was a friend and a mentor.

A/N•

Oh lord. It's been what? A week since I last updated? I'm so terribly sorry. There's a small spoiler in the chapter, if you haven't seen season 10 of Criminal Minds. And how do you feel about the wives coming in? I haven't put them into the story, but I feel like they need to be.

Anyway, hope that you enjoyed the chapter. I'll update as soon as possible.
