Chapter Forty-Four
Joey's POV*
Ashley sat next to me, cuddled up against my side. We're finally on our way back to Tennessee. After tomorrow, we'd be back in Nash. And just like I promised, I was taking Ashley out. I planning a baby-moon, since Arlo would be here in four short months.
"You guys never did tell us." Alan spoke up.
"Tell you what?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.
"The due date of my first nephew." He smirks.
"Supposedly, January 1st. But I'm thinking he's gonna be a late baby." Ashley replied.
"A new years baby." Kane grins.
"Yeah." I nod.
"A new year, a new baby." Ashley laughs.
"A new life too." Alan mutters.
"Are y'all forgetting? Kelsey's pregnant too, tease her some." Ashley mumbled. I laughed and kissed her head.
"Yeah. Kels, Am I getting a niece or nephew?" Alan asks.
"Don't know yet. Don't worry, y'all be the first to know." Kelsey shrugs.
"Oh! Kyle's joining us in Cookieville." Chad informed.
"Yes!" Ashley cheered.
"You excited?" I ask.
"Yes, I haven't seen K in so long and little Hudson." She smiles.
"It has been while since we've seen Kupretty." Alan grins.
"That nickname never gets old." Ashley snickers.
"There was so many." Chad mumbled.
"What were they? Ky, Kyle 2.0, and Kupretty." Caleb names them off.

Ashley's POV*
We all settled into the hotel. We're just hanging out here until the concert tomorrow, and we'd all be in our beds tomorrow night.
As much as I love traveling, traveling while pregnant is difficult. It's also painful, but I'm just at that point in the pregnancy.
"Joey!" I whine.
"What?" He asks, sitting next to me.
"Can we go shopping?" I ask sweetly.
"Why?" He responded.
"Arlo wants ice cream." I smile.
"Only if you get something healthy too." He compromises.
"But," I pout.
"No buts. Babe, you need to eat healthy too." He mutters.
"Can I get potato chips? It's from a potato, which is healthy." I bribe.
"No, they're too saltly. You need fruit or something." He sighs.
"Do I have to?" I whine.
"Yes. Please babe, for me." He begs.
"Fine." I grumble.
"Thank you." He smiles, kissing my cheek.
I sighed as I got up. I grinned, "I love you."
He got up and placed his arms around me. "I love you too." He smiled, kissing my cheek.

That next night, Kelsey G, Kelsey K, and I stood backstage. Little Hudson sat on my hip, while the guys preformed.
One thing I did notice though, while they sung Love You Like The Movies, Joey almost always glanced over at me. I smiled back at him.
"Wow. If I hadn't been at your wedding, I would've thought you two are lovesick puppies." K jokes.
"They're always like this." Kelsey laughs.
"Really you two?" I groaned.
"Yes." K grinned.
"Can we not be in love?" I tease.
"Never said that. I'm still in love with Kyle." K smiles.
"I love mommy!" Hudson squeals.
"I bet you do." I smile, kissing his little cheek.
"Look at that. Your motherly instincts." K grinned.
"Nah. That's the aunt-side of me peeking through." I laugh.
"Just wait. The both of you." K smiled.
I shook my head, and watched the guys preform. Throughout the set, Joey's eyes met mine.
After the set, all the guys came off.
"Hey little guy!" Kyle smiled, taking Hudson from me.
"Hey babe." Joey whispered, kissing my cheek.
"Hey." I mumbled.
"Alright. Since its all six of us, we need to hurry for the meet and greet." Alan stated.
We nodded and went towards the dressing room. Joey took my hand and laced our fingers. "You ready to go home?" He asks.
"A little." I answered.
"Hey, think about it. We're gonna be at home for these last four months." He grins.
"I love how excited you are for this." I comment.
"Of course I'm excited. Babe, our family is growing. A new life is something that should be exciting." He explains. Just as we arrived at the door, Joey stopped me. He smiled as his forehead rested against my own. "I love you so much. You and this baby." He whispered.
"I love you too." I smiled. He gently kissed me.
"Okay lovebirds." Alan clears his throat.
Joey sighs and pulls away. He groaned, "What Alan?"
"Need to get ready." Alan stated. Joey nodded and rolled his eyes. Alan, then, walked back into the room.
"Go get ready. That kiss will be here when you're done." I smiled.
"Can I have a quick one? Please." Joey asks. I nodded and leaned up to quickly kiss him.
"There, now go." I giggle.
"I love you." He smiled.
"I love you too, but go." I laugh. He grinned before quickly kissing me again, then returning to the room.
I slowly followed behind.
~*~*~
After the meet and greet, we all put everything away. And as it has been for the past couple months, it was quiet. No attacks, no threats, and no murders.
We all sat in the hotel Livingroom, just watching movies. Morgan and Emily were joking around, not even watching the movie. Alan and Chad were even talking, and Caleb and Kels were talking. I sighed, knowing that if I put in a Disney movie, that they'd watched.
"Baby, let's go to sleep. I'm tired." Joey whines.
"You're always tired." I tease.
"You're right. I'm exhausted." He groaned.
"Of course you are." I smirked.
"Baby, please." He begs.
"If you're tired, then go to bed." I suggest.
"But you're sitting on me." He mumbled.
"I don't wanna get up." I whine. Joey grumbled and scooped me up in his arms.
"Where are you two going?" Morgan asks.
"Bed." Joey answered.
"Don't have to much fun." Morgan snickers.
"Shut up Morgan." I mumbled.
"I'm sorry. What was that?" He grinned.
"Shut up." I repeated, "Go have your fun with Pen."
"Maybe I will." He smirked. I rolled my eyes and buried my face into Joey's chest.
"Night guys." Joey said.
"Night Joe, night Ash." Alan stated.
"Night." I muttered.
Joey carried me to our room, and laid me on the bed. He quickly changed and laid down next me. He kissed my forehead as he placed his arms around me.
"What's up? You're being really quiet." Joey stated.
"I'm just thinking." I shrug.
"Uh-oh." He snickers.
"Hey!" I whine.
"I'm teasing you. What are you thinking about?" He asks.
"About a nursery." I answer.
"Ideas?" He asks.
"I had some in mind. Somewhere along the lines if your musical baller." I smile.
"You know me so well." He laughs.
"You act like we haven't known eachother for ten years." I giggle.
"The best ten years of my life." He grins.
"What about that point in life when we didn't have to worry about bills?" I ask.
"Eh. I've loved these ten years with you more." He shrugged.
"I can't believe that it's been almost ten years since I've met you." She whispered.
"How is it that they day I met you was possibly my favorite with you? Other than the day I proposed and we got married." He asks.
"I don't know." I laugh.
"I remember just sitting there, and I was wondering why such a beautiful girl was crying. For some reason, I just wanted to hug you and tell you that it was gonna be okay, that God had you in his arms. That He was going to take care of you." Joey explained, "Now, I realized that God was calling me to you."
"I'm glad He did." I smiled, quickly kissing him.
"I love you." He whispered.
"I love you too." I replied.
"Now go to sleep. You need it, baby." He suggests.
"Fine." I sighed. He laughed before kissing my cheek.
Eventually, I got myself to relax and fall asleep.
