Chapter Forty-Eight
Ashley's POV~
After Joey's little romantic speech, I didn't know what to say. He stood up and quickly kissed me. "I love you so so so much." He whispers.
"I love you too." I smiled.
"Now; are you ready? All I have to do is grab our bags." He asked.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"Go to the car. I'll meet you out there." He said, kissing my forehead. I smiled and nodded, pushing myself up.
I waited by front door, ready to help Joey. He kissed my cheek as he came to the door. "Babe, let me take one." I offered.
"Nope. I'm doing this for you." He shook his head.
"Is it because I'm pregnant?" I sighed.
"No. It's because I love my amazing wife and I'm giving her the weekend of her life." He grins. He quickly kissed me before walking out the door. I shook my head at him. I loved him, but he was extremely stubborn at times. I sighed as I locked and shut our front door, making my way to the car.
Joey ran around the car after put our bags in the backseat. He opened my door as I approached it. I smiled as I kissed his cheek, "You're amazing. I hope you know that."
Joey grinned as I sat down and he gently shut my door. He got to the other side and got in himself. "Maybe, but it's nice to hear." He smirks.
I rolled my eyes as Joey left the driveway. It was mainly quiet for the first few minutes of the drive. I spoke up, "I just want to say sorry, for earlier."
"Don't be sorry. Okay?" He responded.
"Okay." I nodded.
"So, I've been thinking." He stated.
"Okay. About what?" I asked.
"Nursery themes." He answered.
"And?" I motioned.
"What if we did a combination? Like a musical Buckeye?" He suggests.
"I like it. Our little Ohio State Buckeye." I grinned.
"I can't wait to meet our little boy." He mumbled.
"Neither can I. I have a feeling that Arlo's gonna be just like you." I smile.

About three hours later, Joey pulled up at our destination. He grabbed our bags, and I followed him inside. I still had no idea on where we were at.
Joey walked up to a desk, where a very happy woman greeted us. "Hi! Welcome to Richmont Inn. How may I help you?" She asked.
"I, uh, have a room." Joey stated.
"Name?" She asked.
"Joey Stamper." He answered. She looked up at him and smiled, handing him a set of keys and showing us where our room was.
Once we got to our room and Joey unlocked our door, I was surprised. It was like a seventeenth-century room. It was, to say the least, beautiful.
"Joey, you didn't have to this." I stammered.
"Sh. But I did." He mumbled, kissing me. It wasn't quick like our others, but soft. When he pulled away, he smiled. "I needed to do this. Like my late anniversary present and our babymoon." He whispers.
"A babymoon?" I ask.
"Yeah. A little vacation before we have our baby. You need to relax, babe. After the tour, we both need it." He explained.
"You're the best. You really are." I smiled, placing my arms around his neck.
"Good. Now, sweetheart, we need to head to bed, because we have breakfast in the morning." He grins.
"Joey, baby, you really didn't have to do this." I whispered.
"Maybe, but I wanted too." He shrugged. "Now, come on. We have an early morning."
I nodded and kissed his cheek before changing. He did the same then laid down with me.
"This is amazing." I stated. Joey nodded as he wrapped his arms around me and cuddled into my body.
"Not as amazing as you." He smiled.
"I love you." I mumbled.
He kissed my forehead before I fell asleep, "I love you too."
~*~*~
That next morning I woke up to the shower running. I turned over, facing the door. I heard the shower stop and some shuffling.
Joey came out, ruffling his wet hair in nothing but his ripped black jeans. "Oh! You're awake." He smiled.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"Come on. We have breakfast reservations in about 45 minutes." He urged.
"Okay, okay. I'm going." I giggle. I got out of bed, and passed him, going to take a shower.
Joey gently grabbed my wrist as I passed him. "Hey, I love you."
I smiled, "I love you too."
"And we have dinner reservations tonight too." He informed.
"Okay." I nodded.
"And I grabbed your favorite dress for tonight." He smiled.
I looked down at my somewhat, rather large bump. I laughed slightly, "Joey, babe, I'm not sure it'll fit."
"Yeah, it will. You'll rock it too." He grins.
I smiled sheepishly, "Okay."
"You'll look amazing. Go take a shower and I'll bring you an outfit. Okay?" He stated.
"Okay." I nodded. He kissed my forehead as he released my wrist. I smiled to myself as he turned away.
I went to the bathroom, and took my shower. During my shower, as Joey had said, he brought me an outfit.
I stepped out, and got dressed. I put on the white tunic and jeans that were set out. I put on the small, brown belt on, over my bump {Outfit above^}. I dried and brushed my hair, leaving it in it's natural state.
I walked out and into our room. Joey grinned at me, "You look amazing."
I blushed, "Thank you."
"Come on. Let's get going." He smiled.
"Let me put on some shoes." I laughed.
"Over there." He mutter, pointing to the end of the bed. I nodded and sat down to put them on. I breathed heavily as I sat up. "You ready?" Joey asked.
"Yeah." I nodded, "That was a workout."
As I stood up, Joey took my hand. "You look absolutely gorgeous."
I leaned up to kiss his cheek, "Thank you. You look amazing too."
~*~*~
A waiter led Joey and I onto a deck. Other couples sat at the tables placed around. My breath was taken away as the deck over looked the Smoky Mountains.
"Joey, this is beautiful." I whispered.
"Not as beautiful as you." Joey smiled.
"He's right." The waiter stated.
"Thank you." I mumbled.
As Joey and I sat down, they immediately brought us plates. They sat a glass of orange juice in front of me and a cup of coffee in front of Joey. "I might've already ordered." He muttered.
"It's okay," I smiled, "It's great."
Plates of Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal pancakes, French baked eggs, Scottish eggs with cheddar and chive scones, ambrosia oatmeal, yogurt, dried fruits and fresh muffins.
Joey awkwardly scratched the back of his neck as the waiters left. "There was more, but I felt like this was enough." He stated.
"Joey, baby, it's okay. This is perfect." I grinned.
He smiled back, and held out his hands. I gently placed my hands in his as he began to pray. "Amen." Joey whispered.
"Amen." I repeated.
Joey smiled at me, "Try it."
I bit at my lip as I tried the pancakes first. I moaned at the taste. "These are so good."
"Are they?" Joey asked.
"Yeah. They're amazing." I smiled. Joey gave a small laugh before trying his.
We sat there for about an hour. Just talking and enjoying ourselves. It was quiet and peaceful. It felt calming.
"You're so beautiful." Joey commented as he leaned back in his chair. "You're the only one I see."

Eeek! Joey's got more planned!
Okay, I found Richmont Inn while on google doing who knows what, but it seemed like a really nice place. The food and the room is how they described it on their website, so I tried.😂😖
Anyway! Vote and comment!
