Prologue

~Y/N's POV~  (10 years old)

My parent's, my village, my home, all gone. Burned to the ground. I should've known that it was dangerous. I-i should've seen this coming. I should've been able to stop this.  I sobbed as I ran anway from the treacherous knights, who burned my home to the ground. They took everything from me, but they weren't going to take my life. I ran further and further into the strange woods. I had never dared to go this far alone before.

After what felt like, and probably was, hours and hours of running, I bumped into something. It wawsn't a tree, no, it wasn't the right texture- or color for that matter. It was scaley, and blue, and purple. I slowly looked up, and I saw a dragon. Wide eyed, I stumbled backward into a tree.

"Fear not dear child, what is wrong?" A female voice came from the dragon as it lowered its head, interested in getting a better look at me, and my no doubt tear-stained face.

"I-i- M-my village burned down. Th-these knights came and- and they killed my family!" I cried, balling up.

"It's okay, my child. I can be your family now." The dragon assured, nuzzling me with her giant head. And that was how Galactica, the Galaxy Dragon adopted me. Little did I know how fast that relationship would end.

~Timeskip 5 Years, Y/N is now 15~

I walked back to the cave that me and my dragon mother, Galactica, shared, carrying a basket of food. I wore my usual outfit, and a cloak. I dropped the basket and started to run to the cave when I heard shows, screams, and the sounds of metal clanking. I looked to see the same knights that burned my village to the ground. How could I forget that crest? They were here, killing my second mother. Galactica looked over, straining herself from there ropes and lances on fire being thrown at her.

She gave a mighty roar before speaking to me, "Y/N Run! My time has come, darling daughter but you don't have to die. It is not your time.  Run." She cried out, smiling to me as the knights couldn't understand her. "I love you. Goodbye, daughter." she smiled at me, before putting up a fight to the knights.

I felt tears streaming down my face as I looked to see my dragon mother. "I love you too mom." I smiled before running off, obeying her wish. And so I ran, and I didn't stop until I came to a highly populated town, called magnolia. I ran to it's forest, and decided that it would be okay to cry there.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here boys?" An ugly, middle aged man spoke up, two men standing behind him. "What'dya say honey? Come home with us for a little while." The middle man  started growing closer to me. I quickly readied my defenses before one of the men in the back through something around me.

A magic proof circle-?!  There was no way I could take these three on without my magic.
"HELP!" I began to yell, desperately hoping with all my might someone would hear me. "HELP! PLEASE! HE-" I was cut off by one of the guys placing his hand over my mouth.

"Thats enough out of you." He smirked, winding his other hand back for a punch. I winced, preparing myself to take the hit, and closing my eyes. But it never came. Instead his hand dropped from my mouth. I quickly opened my eyes, and moved my gaze to see what they were looking at.

"Thats no way to treat a lady." A blond boy, a teen around my age, stood there, glaring at the three men. Thank god for help.

"Look runt, this is none of your concern. Why don't you just run home, and forget what you saw here, okay shrimp?" He growled towards the boy who came to save me.

I was scared, scared that this boy would actually do just that, leave me here with them. No, he wouldn't- right? I mean he came to help me afterall. "Or I could beat you three up." The blond spoke, glaring at the guy who insulted him.

To this, all three of the men began to laugh, mocking the teenage boy even moreso. "Ha! I'd like to see you try kid. Look, one free hit. On the house." The weemain evil guy asked, and spread out his arms.  The blond teen began to strike, hitting all three men with lightning at once. The men began to get electrocuted, and feinted from shock. I sighed out, not even realizing I had been holding my breath.

"Thank you." I spoke, relieved for some help. I moved out of the magic proof circle that I was previously trapped in because of the men.

"Don't mention it. It's not everyday theres a damsel in distress. Do you need help getting back to your folks?" he spoke, concern lacing his voice.

"About that, I actually don't have folks. It's a long story, but to sum it up I got adopted by a dragon that taught me magic, and some knights came and killed her. Now im here." I smiled at him, not realizing how crazy that must've sounded.

"A dragon huh? Wait- did you say magic? Like wizards? Like the lightning I attacked them with?" He spoke, his eyes widening in shock.

"Uh, yeah." I smiled at him, confused.

"Well, uh, I'm a part of a wizarding guild, if you'd like to join it... I'm Laxus by the way." He smiled, reaching his hand out towards me.

"Sure, I'm Y/N." I smiled, shaking his hand. "Lead the way, to this guild then!" I smiled, and he took my hand and lead me back to town. I then realized I was actually... holding a boys hand. I felt my face go slightly pink as he brought me to a large building. He let go of my hand, and put his hand on the handle to the large guild doors.

"Might want to stand behind me." he smiled at me, and I took his warning or advice, though I wasn't sure which it really was, and moved behind the fellow teen. As he opened the doors, a chair came flying and he zapped it before it hit him.

"SHUT UP SWORD FACE!" A white haired chick yelled at a girl with red hair.

"THATS SMART COMING FROM YOU, SNOW HAIR!" They continued to fight, as Laxus lead me through the guild to an old man, presumably the master of the guild.

"Who's this, Laxus?" The old man smiled at the teen, and looked over to me with a kind face.

"This is Y/N. She claims a dragon taught her galaxy magic."  He spoke casually, as the old man's eyes went wide.

"Well then! Would you like to join the guild? I'm Makarov, but you can call me gramps!" He smiled at me.

"S-Sure." I spoke, giving a nervous smile towards the two males.

~Timeskip, two years, aged 16~

It had been a year since I moved into Fairy Hills, and became a member of Fairy Tail. I was sixteen, and so was Laxus. But his father got expelled from the guild awhile ago, and he's been sour to everyone but me ever since. I was his best friend, and we were closer than ever. I was sitting in the guild hall, drinking some F/D as Laxus was rumaging through quests. He and I had both advanced and become S-Class wizards, together as the S-Class trials this year were in duos, teams of two.  Oh, and also we're dating.

Laxus came up to me, a piece of paper in hand. He sat down next to me, and put the paper on the table. I grabbed it from him, and faced him. I stick my tongue out and smiled at him, clsoing one eye. He smirked at, shaking his head and stole my drink. I read over the quest, and it was about a week long. "Let's do it then, bolt brains." I smiled, dropping off the stool and walking to Makarov's office.

"Rude." He grumbled, following me. He stopped before the door to his office, leaning on the wall, and waiting for me to go in.

I sighed, looking up at him. "You're going to have to get over it, and make up one day, y'know." He looke down at me, meeting my eyes. "He is  your grandfather, y'know."

"Sure. but that day isn't today." He kissed me, and walked away, probably to go get another drink. I sighed, and shook my head before going to explain to Master Makarov that we were going to take the week-long quest. But little did I know, only one of would return in a week.

See Laxus and I got split up on that job, and I was assumed dead. But little did they know I was very much so still breathing.
