"From this day forward, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Terrainpaw. Your mentor will be Redstripe. We welcome you as a warrior apprentice of Lightningclan." Terrainpaw felt a rush of pride go through him as he touched noses with Redstripe. He thought that he heard Redstripe growl under his breath as they touched noses.

"Flamekit, Leafpatch has accepted for you to be her apprentice and to learn the mysteries of Starclan as a medicine cat apprentice. Do you accept the post of apprenticeship to Leafpatch?"

Terrainpaw saw Flamekit sit up nervously as he responded. "I-i do."

"Then at half-moon, you must travel to the moonstone to be accepted by starclan before the other medicine cats, the good wishes of all Lightningclan will go with you. Welcome Flamepaw"

Flamepaw padded forward nervously towards Leafpatch. Terrainpaw saw Leafpatch whisper reassuringly to Flamepaw. Flamepaw touched noses to his mentor.

"FLAMEPAW! TERRAINPAW!". 

As the gathering drew to an end, Terrainpaw spotted Redstripe talking angrily to Treestar. "Why did you give me HIM as an apprentice? I refuse to mentor that horrible cat!" Terrainpaw heard Treestar hiss at Redstripe. "He is your apprentice, like it or not. I chose you as his mentor for a reason!". "What reason is that? Making a good warrior waste his time on a useless, crowbrained apprentice?" 

Why does Redstripe hate me so much?. Terrainpaw wondered sadly. Treestar sat up. "Terrainpaw? I know that you're there. Come in." Terrainpaw padded nervously into the den. "Now Redstripe, i think that you have an apology for Terrainpaw." Redstripe muttered an apology and stalked out of the den. Terrainpaw followed him uneasily. 

When they got outside of the camp, Redstripe stopped and turned towards Terrainpaw. "So, you want to prove that you're a warrior right?" Terrainpaw nodded nervously. "Well then, to prove that, you have to travel into Breezeclan territory and spy on their camp.
